    Possibilities to Improve Inventory Management

    U radu se analiziraju mogućnosti unaprjeđenja upravljanja zalihama s ciljem optimizacije poslovnih procesa i smanjenja troškova zaliha. Analizirani su tradicionalni modeli upravljanja zalihama poput ekonomične količine narudžbe (EOQ), kao i suvremeni sustavi poput MRP (Planiranje materijalnih potreba), ERP (Planiranje resursa poslovnog sustava) i JIT (Točno na vrijeme) koji minimizira zalihe. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na analize ABC i XYZ koje omogućuju kategorizaciju zaliha prema njihovoj vrijednosti i stabilnosti potražnje. Studija slučaja prikazuje praktične primjene ovih modela i naglašava važnost prilagodbe strategija naručivanja, optimizacije skladištenja i automatizacije procesa kako bi se postigla veća učinkovitost. Zaključak rada ističe da je za uspješno upravljanje zalihama ključno uvođenje naprednih tehnologija, kontinuirana edukacija zaposlenika i jačanje suradnje s dobavljačima.In the paper, the possibilities for improving inventory management are analyzed with the aim of optimizing business processes and reducing inventory costs. Traditional inventory management models such as Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) are analyzed, along with modern systems like MRP (Materials Requirement Planning), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), and JIT (Just In Time), which aim to minimize inventory levels. The focus is placed on ABC and XYZ analyses, which categorize inventory based on value and demand stability. A case study demonstrates the practical application of these models and emphasizes the importance of adapting ordering strategies, optimizing storage, and automating processes to achieve greater efficiency. The conclusion highlights that successful inventory management relies on implementing advanced technologies, continuous employee education, and strengthening supplier collaboration

    Sigurnosni aspekti infrastrukture javnog ključa na arhitekturi Microsoft Windows predstavljaju ključni element u osiguravanju povjerljivosti, integriteta i autentičnosti digitalnih podataka u modernim informacijskim sustavima. Kroz rad analizirani su različiti aspekti PKI-a, počevši od temeljnih koncepata i pregleda dosadašnjih istraživanja, preko praktične primjene i tehničke implementacije, do istraživanja sigurnosnih izazova i budućih trendova razvoja PKI-a. Kroz detaljnu analizu sigurnosnih aspekata PKI-a, ovaj rad pokazao je da unatoč visokoj razini sigurnosti, postoje specifične ranjivosti koje zahtijevaju pažljivo upravljanje i stalno praćenje. Rad nudi sveobuhvatan pregled sigurnosnih aspekata PKI-a i pruža smjernice za uspješnu primjenu i zaštitu u Microsoft Windows okruženju.The security aspects of the public key infrastructure on the Microsoft Windows architecture represent a key element in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of digital data in modern information systems. Through the paper, various aspects of PKI were analyzed, starting from the basic concepts and overview of previous research, through practical application and technical implementation, to the research of security challenges and future trends of PKI development. Through a detailed analysis of the security aspects of PKI, this paper has shown that despite the high level of security, there are specific vulnerabilities that require careful management and constant monitoring. The paper offers a comprehensive overview of the security aspects of PKI and provides guidance for successful implementation and protection in a Microsoft Windows environment

    Aerodynamic Characteristics Analysis of Airfoil and Wing in the Flow5 Program

    Završni rad analizira različite oblike krila i aeroprofila te promatra njihov utjecaj na aerodinamičke karakteristike korištenjem programa flow5. Objašnjene su osnovne geometrijske karakteristike aeroprofila i krila koje utječu na aerodinamičke performanse. Detaljno je opisan rad programa flow5. Provodi se usporedba rezultata analize aeroprofila s dostupnim eksperimentalnim mjerenjima u cilju provjere točnosti izračuna. Promatra se utjecaj geometrijskih značajki odabranih aeroprofila na aerodinamičke karakteristike. Pažljivo je ispitana aerodinamička učinkovitost različitih oblika krila. Analiziran je utjecaj odabira aeroprofila na aerodinamičke karakteristike krila u letu, uz naglasak na utjecaj položaja težišta na stabilnost i upravljivost u letu. Rezultati analize su grafički prikazani i pojašnjeni, te su na kraju rada iznesena završna razmatranja.The thesis analyzes various wing and airfoil shapes and examines their impact on aerodynamic characteristics using the flow5 program. The basic geometric features of airfoils and wings that influence aerodynamic performance are explained. The operation of the flow5 program is described in detail. A comparison between airfoil analysis results and available experimental measurements is conducted to verify the accuracy of the calculations. The influence of selected airfoils geometric characteristics on aerodynamic performance is considered. Additionally, the aerodynamic efficiency of different wing shapes is carefully examined. The influence of airfoil selection on the aerodynamic characteristics of wing in flight was analyzed, with an emphasis on the influence of the center of gravity position on stability and controllability in flight. The results of the analysis are graphically presented and explained, and final considerations are presented at the end of the paper

    Rad donosi pregled mogućnosti i načina rada umjetne inteligencije, glavne komponente umjetne inteligencije te podjelu umjetne inteligencije na temelju sposobnosti i funkcionalnosti. Analizu koncepta pametnih gradova temeljenih na šest glavnih elemenata pametnog grada. Rad prikazuje mogućnosti primjene umjetne inteligencije u pametnim gradovima odnosno u informacijsko-komunikacijskim uslugama u domeni pametnih gradova. U radu se analiziraju budući izazovi i prijedlozi poboljšanja umjetne inteligencije u pametnim gradovima te studija slučaja grada Dubrovnika kao pametnog grada.The paper provides an overview of the possibilities and ways of working of artificial intelligence, the main components of artificial intelligence and the division of artificial intelligence based on capabilities and functionality. Analysis of the concept of smart cities based on six main elements of a smart city. The paper presents the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence in smart cities, that is, in information and communication services in the domain of smart cities. The paper analyzes future challenges and proposals for improving artificial intelligence in smart cities, as well as a case study of the city of Dubrovnik as a smart city

    Analysis of Meteorological and Road Conditions on Compliance with Speed Limits

    Znanost o podacima (engl. Data science) je računalna disciplina koja se bavi problemom izvlačenja znanja iz strukturiranih i nestrukturiranih podataka, uključujući velike skupove podataka. Jedna takva velika skupina podataka nudi uvid o brzinama i kategorijama vozila koja se kreću dionicom Zagreb-Karlovac na autocesti A1 u rasponu od 3 godine od 2018. godine do 2020. godine. Također, za isti period zabilježeni su i meteorološki podaci za tu istu dionicu. Podaci sadržavaju informacije kao što su: vrsta i intenzitet oborina; temperatura zraka i kolnika, točke ledišta kolnika; vidljivosti; debljini vodenog sloja; maksimalnoj brzini vjetra; opasnosti od poledice i stanju povrtine kolnika. Svaka ta meteorološka značajka i značajka o stanju kolnika utječe na brzinu vožnje motornih vozila na promatranoj dionici. Unutar diplomskog rada vizualizirat će se ti utjecaji kako bi se utvrdile one značajke koje najviše utječu na brzinu motornih vozila. Stvorit će se model korištenjem metoda strojnog učenja, odabir meteoroloških značajki i značajki stanja kolnika s najvećim utjecajem na brzinu vozila na autocesti. Zatim će se provesti analiza koja će dovesti u korelaciju poštivanje ograničenja brzine u odnosu na odabrane značajke. Rezultati će odgovarajuće vizualizirati i interpretirati u kontekstu mogućih intervencija u povećanju poštivanja ograničenja brzine u nepovoljnim prilikama.Data science is a computational discipline that addresses the problem of extracting knowledge from structured and unstructured data, including large datasets. One such large dataset provides insight into the speeds and categories of vehicles traveling the Zagreb-Karlovac section of the A1 highway over a period of 3 years, from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, meteorological data for the same section were recorded during the same period. The data include information such as: type and intensity of precipitation; air and road surface temperatures; freezing points of the road surface; visibility; thickness of the water layer; maximum wind speed; risk of ice formation, and the condition of the road surface. Each of these meteorological features, as well as the road condition features, affects the speed of vehicles on the observed section. Within this thesis, these influences will be visualized to determine which features have the greatest impact on vehicle speed. A model will be created using machine learning methods to select the meteorological and road condition features with the greatest influence on vehicle speed on the highway. Following this, an analysis will be conducted to correlate speed limit compliance with the selected features. The results will be appropriately visualized and interpreted in the context of potential interventions to increase compliance with speed limits under adverse conditions

    Application of Flight Data Recorders in the Reconstruction of Aviation Accidents

    U ovom diplomskom radu istražena je uloga i važnost uređaja za snimanje leta u zrakoplovnoj industriji, s posebnim naglaskom na analizu podataka i inovacije potaknute zrakoplovnim nesrećama. Kroz rad se obrađuju ključne nesreće te se analizira njihov utjecaj na razvoj tehnologija i sigurnosnih protokola. Posebna pažnja je posvećena primjeni Big data analitike pri rekonstrukciji zrakoplovnih nesreća, etici i sigurnosti podataka, te kako analiza podataka utječe na odluke o održavanju i popravcima zrakoplova, kao i na unapređenje pilotske obuke. Također, istražuju se izazovi i prilike u primjeni rezultata istraživanja nesreća te integracija podataka iz FDR i CVR u rekonstrukciji zrakoplovnih nesreća. Zaključak rada naglašava važnost kontinuiranog razvoja i revizije standarda kako bi se unaprijedila sigurnost zračnog prometa. Ovaj rad pruža sveobuhvatan pregled povijesnog razvoja, trenutnog stanja i budućih smjerova u području zrakoplovne sigurnosti, s ciljem poboljšanja razumijevanja i primjene tehnologije za snimanje leta.This master thesis explores the role and importance of flight recorders in the aviation industry, with a particular focus on data analysis and innovation driven by aviation accidents. The work deals with key accidents and analyzes their impact on the development of technologies and safety protocols. Special attention is paid to the application of Big Data analytics in the reconstruction of aviation accidents, ethics and data security, and how data analysis affects decisions on aircraft maintenance and repairs, as well as the improvement of pilot training. Also, challenges and opportunities in the application of accident research results and the integration of data from FDR and CVR in the reconstruction of aviation accidents are explored. The conclusion of the paper emphasizes the importance of continuous development and revision of standards in order to improve air traffic safety. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the historical development, current state and future directions in the field of aviation security, with the aim of improving the understanding and application of flight imaging technology

    Ovaj rad analizira razvoj intermodalnog transporta na globalnoj razini, ističući njegovu ključnu ulogu u suvremenom logističkom sustavu. Intermodalni transport, koji koristi kombinaciju cestovnog, željezničkog, vodnog (pomorski i unutarnji vodni putovi)i zračnog prijevoza, omogućava učinkovitije, ekonomičnije i ekološki prihvatljivije premještanje robe koristeći intermodalne teretne jedinice (npr. konetejner). Rad se fokusira na povijesni razvoj, trenutne izazove te buduće trendove, uključujući tehnološke inovacije poput automatizacije, telematike i digitalizacije, koje unapređuju ovaj način transporta. Unatoč prednostima, identificirani su infrastrukturni nedostaci, regulatorna ograničenja i logistički izazovi. Zaključuje se da intermodalni transport, uz kontinuirano ulaganje u tehnologiju i međunarodnu suradnju, ima veliki potencijal za daljnji razvoj i optimizaciju globalnog lanca opskrbe u budućnosti.This paper analyzes the development of intermodal transport on a global scale, highlighting its crucial role in the modern logistics system. Intermodal transport, which utilizes a combination of road, rail, maritime, and air transport, enables more efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly movement of goods. The paper focuses on historical development, current challenges, and future trends, including technological innovations such as automation, telematics, and digitization, which enhance this mode of transport. Despite its advantages, infrastructural deficiencies, regulatory constraints, and logistical challenges are identified. The conclusion is that intermodal transport, with continued investment in technology and international cooperation, has significant potential for further development and optimization of the global supply chain in the future

    Diplomski rad pod nazivom "Rješavanje uskih grla željezničkih graničnih kolodvora primjenom teorije igara" bavi se problematikom učinkovitosti graničnih željezničkih kolodvora te rješenjima za optimizaciju željezničkih procesa. Najveći izazov s kojim se susreće željeznički promet u Republici Hrvatskoj tiče se uskih grla koja najčešće nastaju zbog neusklađenosti procedura te zastarjelih infrastruktura, a u konačnici uzrokuju smanjenje konkurentnosti na tržištu. Rad istražuje primjenu teorije igara kao alata za optimizaciju procesa koji donosi konkretna i mjerljiva rješenja.The Master’s thesis, which is titled “Solving Bottlenecks of Railway Border Stations by Using Game Theory” discusses the issues related to the performance of railway border stations and provides recommendations for enhancing the performance of such stations. In the Republic of Croatia, the problem of bottlenecks remains unresolved, and it is one of the vital problems faced by railway transport due to organisational inconsistency and aged facilities. These limitations cause competitive ability of enterprises. The analysis addresses the issue of using game theory as a methodological tool providing practical and effective process solutions as a strategy for resolving bottlenecks

    Optička mreža je podatkovna komunikacijska mreža koja koristi tehnologiju svjetlovodnog vlakna za prijenos podataka, a karakterizira ju visoka propusnost i velika brzina prijenosa podataka. U ovom diplomskom radu opisane su neke od mogućih izvedbi, arhitekture tih izvedbi te neke od tehnologija koje se koriste u optičkim mrežama. Također su opisani i razni prometni parametri koji postoje u optičkim mrežama, neki od njih su specifični za većinu komunikacijskih mreža, dok su neki specifični isključivo za optičke mreže. Nadalje, prikazane su i objašnjene tehnike praćenja i prikupljanja prometnih podataka u optičkim mrežama. Uz navedene prikazane su i analizirane relevantne metode i tehnike strojnog učenja u optičkim mrežama, a koje mogu poslužiti za predviđanje varijabilnosti odabranih prometnih parametra. U diplomskom radu je također objedinjena i prikazana praktična primjena odabranih metoda strojnog učenja kroz relevantna dostupna istraživanja.An optical network is a data communication network that uses fiber optic technology for data transmission, characterized by high bandwidth and high data transfer speeds. This thesis describes some of the possible implementations, architectures of these implementations, and some of the technologies used in optical networks. Various traffic parameters existing in optical networks are also described, some of which are common to most communication networks, while others are specific to optical networks. Furthermore, techniques for monitoring and collecting traffic data in optical networks are presented and explained. In addition, relevant machine learning methods and techniques in optical networks that can be used to predict the variability of selected traffic parameters are also analyzed. The thesis also consolidates and presents the practical application of selected machine learning methods through relevant available research

Detaljno su opisane komponente potrebne za proizvodnju vozila s unutarnjim izgaranjem, a isto tako komponente potrebne za proizvodnju električnih automobila. Također, rad obuhvaća glavne proizvođače automobila, a ujedno i najveće tvornice automobila u svijetu. Naglašava se važnost robno-transportnih centara za prihvat automobila poznatih kao RO-RO terminali, s detaljnim opisom najvećih terminala na svijetu. Dodatno su opisani glavni dijelovi električnih automobila te glavni nedostaci istih, proizvodnja i sastavljanje električnih vozila te usporedba između robnih tokova električnih automobila te vozila s unutarnjim izgaranjem.The thesis analyzes the characteristics of the formation of product flows of the automotive industry. It includes an overview of the history and future of the automotive industry. The components required for the production of internal combustion vehicles are described in detail, as well as the components required for the production of electric cars. Also, the thesis includes the main car manufacturers, as well as the largest car factories in the world. The importance of the car handling centers known as RO-RO terminals is emphasized, with a detailed description of the largest terminals in the world. In addition, the main parts of electric cars and their main disadvantages, the production and assembly of electric vehicles and a comparison between the product flows of electric cars and vehicles with internal combustion are described
