Regional Partnership in Health Tourism Management System
No full textThe dissertation examines the regional partnership in the health tourism management system as a complex process, the core and fundamental axis of which is the phenomenon of an organizational partnership. Within this system, the integrated management and a partnership mechanism bring together health tourism organizations, integrating resources, common goals and objectives that transform into results during the creative management process. This dissertation is devoted to solving the following scientific problems: what are the main theoretical foundations of regional partnership management and, – how to improve regional partnerships in the health tourism management system. The theoretical and empirical research carried out in Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Portugal, Croatia, Turkey was taken and as a basis to define the following features of the health tourism management system: the situation (health tourism life cycle; SWOT and TOWS matrices, etc.); the management features (conscious and purposeful interaction between key actors, organizational networking, etc.); problems (lack of a clear and single health tourism platform, insufficient adaptation of the state health care sector to foreign patients, underdeveloped organizational partnership opportunities, etc.); the factors promoting and hindering the development of health tourism and ensuring the effectiveness of organizational partnerships. The aim of the research is to substantiate a regional partnership in the health tourism management system by analyzing the theoretical foundations of a regional partnership health tourism management and conducting the empirical research. The dissertation sets forth the principal structure of the Lithuanian health tourism management, assessing the significance of institutions at three levels of management: policy formulation and decision-making; policy enforcement and monitoring; implementation. It was established that in order to improve a regional partnership in the health tourism management system, it is advisable to establish a regional health tourism institution at the level of policy enforcement and monitoring, which would perform the following essential functions: interaction with facilitators, intermediaries, suppliers, medical centers; coordination of the work of all participants in the system; provision of information

No full textCC BY-NC-NDThis article examines the experiences of NGOs that represent the interests
of the disabled in cooperating with municipal institutions. Applying qualitative research
methods (interviews and content analysis), the forms of NGO cooperation with local government institutions were revealed as the most important avenue of financial support for
NGO projects. The results of this study showed that NGOs face challenges – first among
which is power inequality, where local authorities have little experience of working with
people with disabilities. Factors that strengthen the successful cooperation of NGOs with
municipal institutions were also identified. Based on the results of the qualitative study,
it was found that successful cooperation is related to the commitment of the NGOs themselves, contributing to the stronger and more active well-being of people with disabilities as
well as mutual support and trust

Creativity and Parental Involvement in Early Childhood Education in the Reggio Emilia Approach and Philosophy

Among the main aspects of this involvement are the quality of education, child support, cooperation between teachers and parents as well as a positive feedback. The authors of this paper also deal with one of the main aspects of early education—creativity and its importance for a child’s psychosocial development. The preschool curriculum has been designed for children of the preschool educational institutions to provide them with a rich learning experience and to help them to develop properly. Creative education starts at an early age, therefore kindergartens and families play a very important role in supporting and developing creativity in child’s everyday routine. The Right to a Fair Trial: Remote Procedures
No full textThis article analyses the expression of the right to a fair trial
under the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic within selected countries,
and the content of this right while court hearings are organised and carried
out remotely. Questions are raised as to whether the remote process meets the
legal expectations of the participants of the criminal justice system, whether
the implementation of justice changes its appearance, and whether this
implementation is genuine or potentially fictitious. Alongside this analysis,
the provisions of laws regulating the criminal procedure regarding remote
legal procedures before and during the COVID-19 pandemic are examined.
Law-making initiatives and novelties in the sphere of legal regulation are
considered. Apprehension is urged in considering whether present attempts to
move the “locomotive” of criminal justice do not create preconditions for the
construction of narrow constitutional guarantees which may diverge from the
fundamental principles of criminal procedures. In concluding, it is emphasised
that the right to a fair trial cannot have its application narrowed without
sufficient grounds, and that the right to access a court in-person cannot be
limited. Fundamentally, the authors note that a balance must be struck between
legal values such as social safety, the protection of health, and an individual’s
right to direct participation in court hearings. This should be observed via the
avoidance of spontaneous and impulsive law-making initiatives
COVID-19 Lessons: Experience in Organization of Distance Pre-School Education
Get PDFCC BY-NC-ND 4.0The article is for analysis of new experience in the national context - organisation of distance education in preschool education and the challenges in application of the innovation, when the implementation as such has not been planned and modelled for getting ready for it in advance. In Lithuania, before the COVID-19 pandemic distance education in the preschool education meant for reparation of a child ready for school was not applied, there were no specific guidelines, tested teaching platforms or pedagogic practices. The study deals with the results of a focus groups research performed in June of 2020, designated for discussing of experiences of the Lithuanian preschool education institutions in distance education gained during the quarantine (16/03/2020 to 29/05/2020). The performed analysis of experiences in organisation of distant education in preschool education disclosed the essential challenges faced when applying this form of education in the education of six-year-old children. It has been established that the key challenges organizing distance education in the preschool education are related to lack of the IT solutions for distant education; readiness of the participants of the education process for distant education and engagement into such process of education, as well as the lack of support from national and regional institutions in organisation of distant education. The results of the research open possibilities for further researches which are necessary for efficient and sustainable distant education integration into preschool education. In this background, explicit, deep research related to analysis of appropriateness of distance education platforms in the stages of early age, search for didactic solutions of digital content for them and deep researches of implementation cases and etc. is necessary
