Competitiveness of the Aviation Sector and Ensuring National Security of the Government
CC BY-NC-ND 4.0In relation to modern global environmental problems, it is very important
not only to use the air space correctly and the entire aviation activity in general, but also
timely apply modern innovative technologies, introduce the latest technical means and
modernize the existing aviation hub of the country to minimize environmental damage.
Kazakh airlines have been carrying out passenger and other transportation on many
international routes for quite a long time. This objective factor represents them as real
serious subjects of the global aviation market. Republic of Kazakhstan after gaining
independence and sovereignty began to form a new system of state authority providing
full-scale of national security, which includes the formation and development of the
aviation sector. In view of recent events of the last year, it should be said that the aviation
sector of the studied country has attracted particular attention in terms of ensuring a proper level of aviation security. Republic of Kazakhstan, there are still regions in which it would
be necessary to develop competitiveness, taking into account what is needed for the younger
generation. Young citizens of the country need to be involved in something more important
than just learning, giving an education and a job. The research field is exactly what that
could change the current situation in the country. Local authorities should pay attention
to such spheres as: labor productivity growth; income growth due to the growth of labor
productivity in the manufacturing industry; stimulating the policy of increasing the role
of small and medium-sized businesses in the light of the priorities of the strategy

Mobingo raiška viešajame sektoriuje: Lietuvos Respublikos Krašto apsaugos ministerijos ir jai priklausančių institucijų atvejis
One element of any organization’s success is its organizational culture that manifests itself through the creation of a value system and emphasis on the well-being of employees. In this context, mobbing is a phenomenon understood as psychological stress experienced by individuals at work as a result of certain actions by another person leading to negative consequences for the individual, the organization and society. Given the fact that mobbing institutory organizations or in organisations involved in their activities has hardly been studied, this article aims to reveal the peculiarities of mobbing in the Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania and its institutions through the organizational environment and employees’ relationships. Two hundred and one participants responded to the questionnaire. It was found that mobbing exists in the Ministry of National Defence and its institutions, but the number of employees experiencing workplace bullying corresponds to the general trend established by scientific research. The results also revealed that mobbing does not depend on the employee’s length of service, it is most commonly expressed through verbal communication and women experience it more often than men. It can be stated that the prevention of mobbing in the institutions under analysis is very weak and conflicts are solved in a time-consuming manner, concentrating only on local measures
English Language Learning Through Non-Technology Games: A Case Study of International Students at a Lithuanian University
Research on gamified language learning often involves the use of digital games. Little is known about the use of non-technology games in promoting language learning despite their accessibility. This paper aims to fill in this lacuna by providing insights into international students’ engagement in non-technology gamified English language learning in the context of a Lithuanian university. The research, which used a case study approach as its methodology, involved a total of 30 international students at a Lithuanian university together with their two instructors. They were observed for two weeks, and then interviewed by the researchers. An inductive thematic analysis approach proposed by Braun and Clark was used to analyse the data. The findings revealed that the students’ engagement with the non-technology gamified lessons have impacted them positively as they believe that they have improved English language proficiency and better mastery of the 21-st century learning skills. However, the participants raised several issues related to cultural sensitivity and blurred learning outcomes. This study concluded that non-technology games serve as a useful tool in promoting language learning in the 21st century if it is carefully designed to attract learners’ interests and at the same to time meet the learning outcomes. This study is hoped to encourage practitioners to experiment with non-technology gamified lessons and provide guidelines for them in conducting effective non-technology gamified lessons
Ensuring Employee Job Security when Implementing Changes in the Company: A Case Study of Lithuanian Industry
The process of companies undertaking adaptation in the face of changing conditions
that have been influenced by factors such as globalization, technological changes, environmental
changes, competition, political decisions, worker mobility, population structure, and so on is one
of the major challenges of modern corporate governance. Changes in a company are inevitable,
but they do not always directly correlate with employees’ sense of security, including whether an
employee feels safe about their workplace, income, or future roles in the company in the face of
potential changes. There is an inverse relationship between employees’ sense of security and their
time spent with the company. One way of managing this that can help to ensure a sense of security
for employees within the company is to directly involve them in the process of implementing changes
in the organization. The main goal of this paper is to highlight the principal aspects of employee
engagement in change management processes and to gain an increased level of understanding in
terms of the implementation of change at the organizational level by involving employees. Research
methods: a systematic and comparative analysis of concepts and methods that have been published in
the available scientific literature, statistical processing, an instrumental case study, interviews, surveys,
and a content analysis of strategic documents, followed by modeling. The theoretical contribution of
the paper demonstrates construction of methodology guided by the emergent perspective and new
theoretical insights on professional discourse. Practical input shows that employee involvement in
change processes is directly related to the speed of strategic change in the company
The Impact of Brexit on the Settlement of Civil and Commercial Disputes with a Lithuanian-United Kingdom Element in Lithuania
On 1 February 2020, after the United Kingdom left the European Union as well as
after the expiration of the transitional period provided for in the Withdrawal Agreement, the socalled
Hard Brexit for judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters occurred. Differently
from judicial cooperation in criminal matters, the European Union and the United Kingdom did
not reach an agreement on the determination of jurisdiction and applicable law, procedures of exequatur
and judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters, which definitely complicated the
courts’ proceedings in such categories of cases in the European Union as well as the United Kingdom.
The Hard Brexit for judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters led to the fact that the
courts of the European Union and the United Kingdom as well as other persons faced difficulties in
choosing the applicable normative legal acts, since the conflict of laws rules on the determination of
jurisdiction and applicable law, procedures of exequatur and judicial cooperation in different periods
of time (before and after the end of the transitional period) were set out in various normative legal
acts (international agreements / European Union law / national law). Inevitably, mistakes in the application
of these normative legal acts took place in the practice of the Lithuanian courts. Therefore,
this article focuses on civil and commercial disputes arising from conflict of laws rules governing the
determination of jurisdiction and applicable law, procedures of exequatur and judicial cooperation
after the United Kingdom has left the European Union
Practices of Public Perception of Social Work and Social Workers (Case of Kazakhstan)
CC BY-NC-ND 4.0Nowadays, many careers still suffer from stereotypes that have been
developed over the years, and which are difficult to move away from. One of these careers is
a social worker. Therefore, an important aspect is the selection of social workers who will be
the "face" of the social service. Social work, its mission and mandate should also be defined
on the state political arena and included in the discourse of social policy and the social
protection system of the country's population with the support of relevant structures and
organisations. The public should be informed about social work as a career that contributes
to prevention of violence, social injustice and development of an adequate social policy
focused on addressing the issues of socially vulnerable groups of the population. Positive
understanding and perception of social work in the Kazakh society develop a broad
public support, joint efforts in achieving global goals in its professional promotion and
development of social work as an activity at the micro and macro levels
Advanced practice anesthesia and intense therapy nurse in a acute care unit: systematic literature review
Nurses, who study advanced practice nursing, experience career resocialization. The freshness of the profession raises new challenges and requires constant improvement, development and refinement for complete integration. Before full incorporation of an advanced practice anesthesia and intense care nurses (further on -
APAICN) into an organized team, it is important to prepare highly skilled specialists, who would not, just excel in their deeper knowledge and understanding of required rights, duties, competencies
and responsibilities, but even be able to engage in a well thought out practice, work in a dynamic environment and have a strong clinician approach. Goal - review the integration of the advanced practice anesthesia and intensive care nurse into acute care teams through a systematic literature overview. Research material and methods – The search for scientific articles took place in MEDLINE, Google Scholar databases and eLABa and Cochrane repositories using Vilnius University access. The analyzed articles
were divided into three subgroups according to the tasks set: 1. In the intensive care unit (further on - ICU) the APAICN enrich the
team by providing a patient oriented and science based medical
care, thus ensuring better quality of health care and easing the workload for other team members
Minimizing the Agency Problem and Aligning the Interests in International Commercial Agency
Purpose of the current research is how to ensure the balance of rights and lawful interests for the participants in legal relations of representation (agent, principal, third parties) in international commercial agency from the perspective of civil law and common law. Even though, the perception of legal institutions via just these legal systems has been widely critiqued as being too simplistic on both theoretical and empirical grounds (Coffee, 2001; Armour, at al., 2009), a closer look at these systems shows that approaches vary greatly regarding what mechanisms of controlling and minimizing the conflicts of interests are the most effective (Filatotchev, Jackson, & Nakajima, 2013, p. 975).
Design/methodology/approach in the research paper will be mainly aimed at revealing all the significant features of aligning the interests of commercial agency actors in common law and civil legal systems. The scientific work is based on the view and principles of qualitative methodology as it permits a study of a discrete phenomenon in order to discover its new perspectives without the need to come to a preliminary view on the nature of the problem set.
Findings. The analysis of scientific works has shown that agency theory is regarded as very pragmatic and widely applied. It has roots in different academic fields and its usefulness is very extensive and prominent.
Nevertheless, the theory is vastly “under-theorized” as there has been no unified explanation or theory adopted on
how legal and social environments shape the identities, interactions and interests among participants to agency relations in different countries
The Application of Teaching/Learning Strategies and Methods to Nursing Students in Teaching Evidence-Based Practice
CC BY-NC-NDEvidence-based practice (EBP) in nursing is one of the ways for professional practice to
be based on reliable and valid evidence, on which clinical decisions that are acceptable not
only to nursing staff but also to the patient can be formulated. After completing the first
level of higher education in nursing programs, students often lack the knowledge and skills
to apply EBP in their professional activities. It is therefore essential that EBP training be
fully integrated into nursing training curricula to properly train future nursing specialists.
The education of future nurses must be geared towards EBP education strategies that integrate both the principles of the profession and substantiated scientific evidence, improving
the quality of patient care and creating an appropriate educational space for the student
(Martins, Baptista, Coutinho, Fernandes, & Fernandes, 2018). However, there is a lack of
clearly defined information on how this training space needs to be designed and adapted for
effectual EBP training. Many researchers emphasize that higher education institutions in
different countries support the teaching of EBP in nursing education. Nevertheless, higher
education institutions do not include it entirely in their study programs due to the higher
costs of organizing the study process or due to the lack of skills and knowledge of teachers
on how to organize EBP training when choosing teaching/learning strategies. According to
Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt (2011), teaching/learning strategies must be understandable
and easy for all those involved in the learning process, and the integration of EBP must be a
natural part of academic culture. The object of this research is the application of teaching/
learning strategies and methods to nursing students in teaching evidence-based practices.
The aim of this research is to analyze the application of teaching/learning strategies and
methods to nursing students in teaching evidence-based practices
The Treaty on the Foundations of Interstate Relations between Lithuania and Russia
The process of negotiations between the Republic of Lithuania and the Russian Federation, then the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR), on the treaty on the Foundations of Interstate Relations lasted for almost
11 months. In 1990, the Republic of Lithuania, which de iure became a fully independent state under the Act of 11 March, sought to restore the former state relations between the two independent states that existed before the occupation
and annexation of Lithuania by the USSR in 1940. But the USSR leader Mikhail Gorbachev wanted to preserve the USSR empire and annexed Lithuania as a part of it. In the initial stage of “negotiations on negotiations” the USSR made
a precondition that the negotiations should be conducted only on the status of Lithuania’s statehood within the Soviet Union. The adoption of the Declaration on the State Sovereignty of the RSFSR on 12 June 1990 which opened up a real
opportunity for Lithuania to regulate state relations directly with the Russian Federation could be considered the breakthrough of the process
