Job submission and monitoring management in integrated computing environment for finite element analysis
Modeling and simulation (M&S) is a promising solution for manufacturers to verify and resolve errors in advance. Recently, M&S using high-performance computing has attracted attention as a technology trend for its efficiency in terms of the time and the cost. However, a huge amount of computing resources is still required to perform an M&S analysis workflow within a short time. For the resolution of this issue, we organize a heterogeneous cluster environment with individual nodes of the diverse performance and OS. An open source-based task scheduler named Son of Grid Engine is used for managing the heterogeneous resources for the experiment. To verify the efficiency and validity of the organization scheme, we have developed an environment for analyzing products and monitoring work through CalculiX, an open source-based finite element analysis solver
Development of Evaluation Perspective and Criteria for the DataON Platform
This study is a preliminary study to develop an evaluation framework necessary for evaluating the DataON platform. The first objective is to examine expert perceptions of the level of DataON platform construction. The second objective is to evaluate the importance, stability, and usability of DataON platform features over OpenAIRE features. The third objective is to derive weights from the evaluation perspective for future DataON platform evaluation. The fourth objective is to examine the preferences of experts in each evaluation perspective and to derive unbiased evaluation criteria. This study used a survey method for potential stakeholders of the DataON platform. The survey included 12 professionals with at least 10 years of experience in the field. The 57 overall functions and services were measured at 3.1 out of 5 for importance. Stability was -0.07 point and usability was measured as -0.05 point. The 42 features and services scored 3.04 points in importance. Stability was -0.58 points and usability was -0.51 points. In particular, the stability and usability scores of the 42 functions and services provided as of 2018 were higher than the total functions were, which is attributed to the stable and user-friendly improvement after development. In terms of the weight of the evaluation point, the collection quality has the highest weight of 27%. Interface usability is then weighted 22%. Subsequently, service quality is weighted 19%, and finally system performance efficiency and user feedback solicitation are equally weighted 16%

Collaborative Information Seeking in Digital Libraries, Learning Styles, Users' Experience, and Task Complexity
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between collaborative information seeking and users' learning style preferences and their experience of information systems. The study investigates the role of four different factors including learning style, task complexity, and user experience in collaborative information seeking in digital environments. Sixty participants (30 pairs) were randomly chosen from volunteer graduate students of Kharazmi University (Iran). Participants completed Kolb's learning style questionnaire and a user experience questionnaire and then performed two information seeking tasks (one simple and one difficult) in a lab setting. They could exchange information with their partners or a librarian using Skype. The sessions were recorded using Camtasia. The results showed that with an increase in task difficulty, collaborative information seeking activities increased and more interactions with partners and the librarian occurred. The number of executive help-seeking requests was higher than the number of instrumental help-seeking requests. This research confirms that learning style is related to the way users interact with the digital library and help seeking. The research showed that in difficult tasks, the differences among users with different learning styles become more evident, and that generally interactions increase in more difficult tasks. Among the learning styles, the accommodating style had the highest number of relationships with collaborative information seeking variables. Most of the statistically significant relationships between users' prior computer experience and collaborative information seeking variables were related to the time variable
