    Proposal of Web Browsing Method with Document Thumbnail for Visually Impaired People

    Particle Densities in Lamp of Narrow Tube Used for Liquid Crystal Display Backlighting

    application/pdfA lamp of extremely narrow inner diameter (usually narrower than 6mm) has been recently developed for liquid crystal display (LCD) backlighting and its importance is undoubtedly increasing. In this work, the Hg6p3P0,1,2 state densities, Hg+ ion density, electric field strength and electron temperature on the tube axis of Ar-Hg discharge lamp were measured under a varied Ar pressure. Ar+ ion and Ar2+ molecular ion in Ar discharge were detected with a quadrupole mass spectrometer as a function of Ar pressure. The variations of the Hg6p3P0,1,2 state densities and Hg+ ion ground state density are similar with varied Ar pressure. The formation of Hg+ ion with variation of Ar pressure at bath temperature 60℃ is the dominant ionization from the collision of the Hg6p3P0,1,2 metastable state atoms.departmental bulletin pape

The result by this method agrees with an exact calculation by a mirror image method. However, it has a possibility of general applicability as different from a mirror image.     A generalization of a non-symmetric numerical semigroup generated by three elements

    application/pdfWe investigate thep roperty of an on-symmetricn umericals emigroup generated by three elements. We consider the numerical semigroups generated by at least 4 elements with the property which is said to be neat. The concept of a neat semigroup is a generalization of that of a non-symmetric semigroup generated by three elements. Moreover, the notions of "quasi-toric type" and "toric type" are introduced to neat semigroups. We show that every neat semigroup generated by 4 elements is of quasi-toric type.     Numerology in John Milton

    application/pdfThe purpose of this paper is to consider the numerology in John Milton's "On the Morning of Christ's Nativity." This poem consists of the Proem (4 7-line stanzas and 28 lines) and the Hymn (27 8-line stanzas and 216 lines). Rostvig (1975) pointed out that the overall structure of the Hymn combines two patterns, a sequence of 12-3-12 and another of 1-9-7-9-1 stanzas. Davies (1975) indicated three beginnings in this poem: (1) the actual beginning of the poem; (2) stanza 3 of the Proem, the outermost limit of the symmetrical structure centered at stanza 13 of the Hymn; (3) stanza 1 of the Hymn, the beginning of the Hymn as a sequence of 15-11-1 stanzas Empson (1974) showed the ambiguity of the symbolism of Lucifer in Milton's poetry. Lucifer (stanza 6 of the Hymn) and the total number of lines of the Hymn 216(=63) provide clues to the numerology in this poem. The first section deals with Rostvig (1975) and Davies (1975). The second section analyzes the complex and intricate symbolism of the number 6 in the Hymn. The third section interprets Milton's use of other symbolic numbers.     application/pdfKyogen can be called a theatre art that keeps moving forward. In every Kyogen play, changes of locations take place, and a multiple number of times in most plays. Shown mostly in stereo-typical blocking patterns, the changes of place bear many purposes-from going on an errand in the neighborhood, to traveling a long distance from Kyoto to a northern province. Not oniy Kyogen's changes of place are efficiently executed, they create lively rhythm in the overall performance and dynamic spatial design throughout the perfonnance space. In Part III, which will be the final discussion of Kyogen's changes of place, we will look at some plays in which such changes take place in super-dimensions, that is, in the realm not belonging to our daily environments.     application/pdfFeatures of the early works of Kizaemon Aruga (Ariga)1 are the devotion to the Shirakaba school and to the Yanagita's Folklore. These are, however, neither just the pastime works before starting sociological research, nor are they merely some episode in his adolescence. Rather, the early works of his are the original formation of the vast Aruga's sociology afterwards, based on his deep discernment to traditional customs of Japan. For Aruga's interests reached far and wide, it is difficult to identify his early works only as the category called "sociology". So, it is important to look back upon the time when he started his works, and to rethink the developing process before an early masterpiece ''Nago no Fueki" (1933) which is famous as his first sociological paper. It results that his early works as 'Kyodo' studies (the rural studies on his own hometown) played a large part in the roots of Aruga's sociology.departmental bulletin pape

Shape of triangular mesh model is formed some skeletons which put inside of the triangular mesh model. When a designer operates on the skeleton, the triangular mesh model deforms by following the skeleton. At that time, imaginary-forces such as coniraciion, smooihness, a repulsion force from the skeleton and inhibition affect on the surface of the triangularm esh model,d etarmine as hape of the triangular mesh model by balancing these imaginary-forces. A designer inputs coefficients for each force and the number of repetitions for the calculations. Here, balancing of the imaginary-force is calculated automatically. In this work, we have investigated how the magnetization is accompanied with the change in magnetic impurity states.
