    Get PDF
application/pdfSome of the works that have been performed with the Electron Microscope System during the period of August 2002 to July 2003 are presented. They include: 1) About the Electron Microscope System, 2) Gelation and morphology of poly(vinylidene fluoride)/organic solvents, 3) Molecular weight distribution and morphology of biodegraded poly(butylene succinate), 4) Change in electrical resistivity with B2⇒Al transformation in Cu-40at%Pd alloy, and 5) Deposition of Pt on TiO2 powder.departmental bulletin pape

Mass Spectrometry of TMA/O2 Dissociation in Alumina Preparation on Silicon with Catalytic Chemical Vapor Deposition

    Get PDF
application/pdfWe have investigated a dissociation of tri-methyl aluminum ((CH3)3Al,TMA) mixed with molecular oxygen (O2) dissociated by a tungsten hot wire in a catalytic chemical vapor deposition (Cat-CVD) method to deposit alumina thin films on a silicon crystal. The analysis was performed by a QMS (Quadrupole mass spectrometer). The dissociation of O2 was caused at about 900℃ for only O2 gas atmosphere and TMA at about 500℃ Dissociation of O2 mixed with TMA was caused at about 500℃ lower than 900℃. The temperature coincided with the temperature of 500℃ to abruptly grow Al2O3 on a Si crystal.departmental bulletin pape

Origin of Carrier-induced Ferromagnetism-Limit of Strong Exchange Interaction-

    Get PDF
application/pdfWe considered the case of a strong exchange interaction limit of a diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS) where the magnetic impurity band is separate from a host band. In the case it is thought that a double exchange like mechanism works ideally. This model calculation showed that the curie temperature was proportional to √x.departmental bulletin pape

Relationships between Catfishes and Earthquakes Based on an Experimental Study

    Get PDF
application/pdfThe catfishes are said sensitive fishes for electronic waves, so that when earthquakes brake out, they will move more actively. In this study by means of an experimental method, the relationships between catfishes, tropical fishes and earthquakes those magnitude are over 6.0 and/or are sensitive earthquakes in Kanagawa, were cleared. In results, the prediction of those earthquakes by counting of movements for catfishes and tropical fishes are success in about 50%. This study clarified the breeding of fishes is one of a useful method for prediction of earthquakes by using of an experimental study quantitatively.departmental bulletin pape

Generation of Negative Ion on Ejection and Collision of Water

    Get PDF
application/pdfIt is known that the negative charged fog arises in the circumference of the water jet, when the water is ejected from the nozzle. This report examined the effects of induction field on generation rate of the negative or positive charged fog on the ejection and the collision of the water. In the ejection of the water, it was found that the chaged fog increased over the 2 doigits, when the induction field is applied, and that the much charged fog arose in spite of the purity of the water. From the result, it was discussed that the position of the electrode greatly affects the generation of the charged fog in ejection of the water. In the collision of the water on the metal, it was found that the polarity of the electrification of the water jet did not agree with that of the charged fog. This phenomenon was discussed as collision phenomenon between the charged water jet and the water on the metal.departmental bulletin pape

On 6-semigroups generated by 4 elements from which affine toric varieties can be constructed

    Get PDF
application/pdfThis paper is devoted to constructing an affine toric variety from a 6-semigroup generated by 4 elemetns such that the monomial curve associated with the 6-semigroup is a specialization of the toric variety. A 6-semigroup means a numerical semigroup starting with 6. We know that if we can construct such an affine toric variety from a given numerical semigroup, then the numerical semigroup is Weierstrass1). For that reason we try to construct an affine toric variety from a 6-semigroup generated by 4 elements which is not known to be Weierstrass.departmental bulletin pape

A Study of Hegel's "Science of Logic" 14

application/pdf1. The division particularizes the universal. For this there must be a principle or ground of division. It must be taken from the nature of the very object by the instinct of reason. 2. The theorem represents the object synthetically. That is to say, the object is a synthetic relation of distinct determinations. It needs to be demonstrated. The demonstration shows the necessity of that relation. The theorem is the synthetic cognition. It identifies the theorem with definition. It is the Idea of cognition, namely the practical Idea. 3. The practical Idea is the subject which realizes itself. It is also the urge which realizes itself. But it is something finite and limited, therefore remains an object-to-be. It means the practical Idea opposes to the objective world, for the will separates itself from cognition. That is to say, the external reality is not cognized as it is. Through transcending the difficulty the practical Idea realizes itself.departmental bulletin pape

Relations between Technical High Schools and the Faculties of Engineering in a High School /University Collaboration for Further Education (1st Report : Agreement and Summer School)

    Get PDF
application/pdfUntil not so long ago, it was unthinkable that a student graduating from a technical high school would seek to enter a university. However, over the past few years the proportion of students coming from technical high schools and now gaining admission into the Faculties of Engineering has been steadily growing. In this report, we illustrate a High School / University collaboration, something rarely seen in this country, through the example of collaboration in Kanagawa Prefecture between technical high schools and the Faculties of Engineering. The focus is on a summer school designed to offer students the full university experience by having them attend lectures and sample student life.departmental bulletin pape

The Prevention of Error Generating of Compressed Image Data Using the Error Correcting Code

    Get PDF
application/pdfAs an error occurs in codeword, JPEG2000 has error resilience technology as a function to control the influence of error. The technology specifies the generated error and distributes an error. In this paper, it is controlled that an error be generated by using the error correcting code which is observed with the Turbo code, the low density parity check (LDPC) code, etc. Furthermore, The characteristic of two error correcting codes is compared.departmental bulletin pape
