Landau Diamagnetism in a Transient Field Strength
application/pdfThe Landau diamagnetism in a transient field strength is studied. The orbit radius of the ground state is smaller than the sample size, while those near the Fermi energy are larger. The thermodynamic potential Ω (H,μ) is investigated. The shift in Ω (H,μ) due to the boundary effect is far larger than the Landau energy,however,nearly the same term already exists at H=0. The E-o relations are examined for the boundary condition that the phase at the boundary is r/2. The average of the shift in Ω (H,μ) for 0 and 1/2 is evaluated. A singular diamagnetic moment is possible to appear in the transient region.departmental bulletin pape
The Practice of the Parallelization of the Serial Program Using the Marketing Parallel Personal Computer
application/pdfThe parallel program was constructed using parallel processing board (mp98) of the personal computer correspondence which can easily handle parallel computer. The calculation speed was then measured by using parallelization of the primarity test processing for showing the difficulty of the construction of the parallel program. As the result, the processing speed was drastically different by the method of the parallelization, i.e., the calculation time became shorter in the case of dynamic load dispersion.departmental bulletin pape
Falling Motion of a Neodymium Magnet in an Aluminum Pipe
application/pdfBraking effect by electromagnetic induction is one of physical phenomena of magnetic field. Due to easiness of observation this phenomenon is used to exemplification experiments in physics education. Authors measured time and falling velocity of a neodymium magnet in an aluminum pipe, and modeling of the motion and simple formulation by the approximation in the falling were examined. In an aluminum pipe, time for the falling of the magnet was longer than in an ordinary environment. In addition, falling velocity in the pipe was almost fixed, and time for the falling was almost proportional to the square of the central magnetic flux density of the magnets.departmental bulletin pape
Etching of Diamond and Plasma Parameters in O2/CF4 Plasma
application/pdfDiamond films were etched using a reactive ion etching system in O2/CF4 plasma with narrow electrode gap. The maximum etching rate was obtained with the addition of 20%CF4 in O2 under conditions that the RF power was 100W, the gas pressure 20Pa and the total flow rate 20sccm. Changes in Electrical Resistivity during Continuous Heating of Cu-13at.%Pt Alloys Quenched from Various Temperatures
application/pdfThe changes in electrical resistivit.y during continuous heating of Cu-13at.%Pt alloys with L12 type structure, annealed at various temperatures and immediately quenched, are carefully examined and the relationships between the residual resistivity and the temperature coefficient of resistivity and the order parameter deduced from differential scanning calorimetory are experimentally investigated. The results are compared with those for Cu3Pd alloys with the same ordered structure, previously reported. The electrical measurement reveals that the electrical resistivity increases just below the order-disorder transition temperature in the same way as that of Cu3Pd alloys, but the relative magnitude of this increase with respect to the total change upon ordering is smaller than in Cu3Pd alloys. It is also found that the resistivity change during heating deduced from the thermal behaviour using an experimental equation derived here, agrees sufficiently well with the results of measurement.departmental bulletin pape
Between Noh and Kyogen : The Heart that Dances and the Heart that does not Dance, Part One
application/pdfNoh and Kyogen, the two brother theatre arts from the medieval Japan, are both holistic theatre arts in which acting is closely intertwined with aural and dvisual elements, though at varying degrees. Dance is one crucial non-verbal element that distinguishes Noh, in particular, from Occidental theatres. Kyogen also has dance in a number of plays. There are similarities and differences between Noh and Kyogen dance. ln this treatise varying degrees of Noh and Kyogen dance will be examined, ranging from a situational dance,a theatrical dance that delineates the character's state of mind, and a theatrical dance that sublimates the motif of the play. Considerations will also be given to the theatrical motivations behind Noh and Kyogen dance--when dance happens, why it happens, and when dance does not happen, why it does not. Experimental Study of Detecting Information about Pollens Using the Diffraction in their Shadow Region(I)
application/pdfWe report a technique for obtaining simple measurements of small particle sizes by using the diffraction in their shadow region. We find that the diffraction in this region has precise information about shapes and sizes of small pollens. The Study of Real Image 3-dimensional Analysis Using High Resolution Linear CCD
application/pdfThere are various types in the noise included in image, such as ar andom noise existing in photodetector and a thermal noise existing in an electronic circuit. It becomes an important indicator for evaluating an imaging system to get to know the affects of each noise. In this paper, we perform 3-dimensional analysis and consider affects of each noise. We analyze an image of ideal state where only Multiplicative Noise or Additive White Gaussian Noise exists. Development of Chair Ski for Rehabilitation
application/pdfIn order to serve both as leisure and rehabilitation for an elder or a disabled person. chair ski that the turn of skiing can be done by weight movement on the chair is designed. Five types of the chair ski are developed. The chair of them is mounted on a pair of ski and those linkages are different. From the experiment by using a ski simulator, the chair ski shows almost as the same skiing cbaracterstic as the skiing obtained from a healthy person.
