The Examination of Lotka - Volterra Oscilation System Considering the Time Delay
application/pdfAdding effects of time delays for Lotka-Volterra non-linear oscillation system, we examined dynamic behavious of these systems. The delay of exponential smoothing of time was introduced. The effects of these time delays on the dependent variables X and Y in Lotka - Volterra oscillation systems showed divergent or convergent behavious according to applications of time delays to X and/or Y.departmental bulletin pape
Three-dimensional Detection of On-board Small Projections with Diffraction in the Shadow Region
application/pdfWe analyzed the shadow region diffraction pattern of two micron-size projections illuminated using coherent light on a straight line and a small cylinder, on the three-dimensional plane. We found that the intensity and fringe spacing of the diffraction in the shadow regions easily gave three-dimensional infonnation about the surface of the small projection.departmental bulletin pape
Comparison between the Coherent Potential Approximation and the Mean Field Approximation
application/pdfWe have calculated the Curie temperature Tc of diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) by applying three approximations for a simple model; the coherent potential approximation (CPA) the virtual crystal approximation (VCA), and the mean-field approximation (MFA). Comparison of the results reveals that both the VCA and the MFA overestimate the Tc for appropriate carrier density n, suggesting that the high Tc's predicted on the basis of the VCA are artificial.departmental bulletin pape
Experiment and Analysis Regarding the S/N Improvement of CCD Camera by Time Delay and Integmtion Method
application/pdfRecently, the importance of the earth observation from the space has been recognized from the standpoint of the giobai environmenial problem. As various meihods for acquiring the image has been developed rapidly, the improvement of the signal to noise ratio (S/N) becomes a subject for the high-resolution image. To solve the problem, the time delay integration (TDI) method has been introduced and investigated in this paper. This paper describes the influence of the attitude change of the satellite and the noise which is generated during the image acquisition. And the S/N improvement based on the TDI is shown experimentally.departmental bulletin pape
Development of the Educational Method for Assistive Technology Based on Collaboration with Community
application/pdfThe aim of this study was to investigate the physical activities in the daily life and the physical education class, and to relate those activities with the physical fitness. The level of physical activities; the number of steps, was measured by pedometer. The heart rate and the number of steps in the badminton exercise of physical education were simultaneously measured. The measurement parameters of the physical fitness were step test, side step, vertical jump, and sit up. The results were as follows : 1) The daily physical activity in students was relatively small but gained almost 40% by physical education class. 2) Students in the higher level of the daily physical activity had higher step test score. 3) The correlation was not observed significantly between the number of steps and the heart rate in physical education class. 4) The exercise intensity in physical education was approximately 100-160 beat/min (50-75%HRmax). We think that the physical education should lead students in order to increase the daily physical activity that is vital for the good health.departmental bulletin pape
Radiation Characteristics of Fluorescent Lamp Used for LCD Backlighting by Dc Pulse of High Frequency
application/pdfThe emission intensity of Hg I spectral line was measured for fluorescent lamp in narrow tube used for liquid Crystal display (LCD) backlighting. The lamp with external electrodes was operated by de pulse of high frequency. The emission intensity had a maximum at a frequency of about 70kHz and saturated above a duty ratio of 30%. The emission intensity in afterglow (pulse interval) was higher than that in applied voltage.departmental bulletin pape
A Study on Convenient Methods to Create Education Support Contents
application/pdfAn application soft-ware easy to use for developing education support contents on the world-wide-web has been selected for those who are not highly skilled creators.T he contents to help students understand how the internal combustion engine really works were developed based on the selected application soft-ware. The contents were tested in the class of machine shop practice and mechanical engineering laboratories. The test results show that (1) the use of the contents in the class increases the average short test score by about 25% and (2) the utilization of the contents on the world-wide-web as homework enhances the average short test score by about 15%.departmental bulletin pape
A Study of Hegel's "Science of Logic" 15
application/pdfThe absolute Idea is the unity of the Idea of life with the Idea of cognition. The absolute Idea is an object in which all determinations have come together. It determinates itself, and also it is an unitiy itself. The logic is what grasps the Idea. Therefore, the determinations of the Idea and all process of it can be the object of the logic. The logic has the beginning, its content is an immediate, but an immidiate that has the significance and form of abstract universality, that is to say, the beginning is a manifold and the universality is not posited in it. Then its immediacy is denied and the concrete universality must be posited. A dealectic is a logic of the process in which the concrete universality is posited.departmental bulletin pape
Experimental Study of Detecting Information about Pollens Using the Diffraction in their Shadow Region(II)
application/pdfThe diffraction in the shadow region illuminated by coherent light gave precise information on the shape of small pollen grains. Here, we report on the experimental techniques used in counting pollen grains using the linearity in the spectrum of diffraction patterns appearing in their shadow regions.departmental bulletin pape
Intellectual Eye Detection Using GA Multi Window
application/pdfThere have been a variety of eye detections reported in the past, however, many of approaches require the geometrical relations among the parts in facial image. We have reported the way of eyes' detection by window-pair chasing in a facial image based on Genetic Algorithm. Here, symmetry of eyes was utilized in order not to fall into incorrect locations while finding eye locations, although there were some Probiems remained for its detecting capability. in this paper, our improved version, so caiied Multi-Window model is introduced. The Multi-Window, three windows are used in this experiment; the window pair for two eyes and the rest one for either mouse or nose. Thus, our trial applying to sample images resulted in the recognition rate of more than 99%. On the other hand, parameters to activate GA must be decreased and/or optimized without any help of human in the future.departmental bulletin pape
