On 7-semigroups of genus 9 generated by 5 elements
application/pdfThis paper is devoted to constructing an affine toric variety from a non-primitive 7-semigroup of genus 9 generated by 5 elements such that the monomial curve associated with the 7-semigroup is a specialization of the affine toric variety.departmental bulletin pape
Investigation on the Extraction Accuracy of 3-Dimensional Image Information Using the Multi-directional Imaging Including random Noise
application/pdfThe earth observation by the satellite is very important from the standpoint of the global environmental problem. The 3-dimensional image information can be extracted by the high resolution camera such as the ASTER on board the NASA's Terra spacecraft. In this paper, The 3-dimensional image analysis is carried out using the multi-directional imaging pairs. The investigated results are described focusing on the improvement of the fewer invisible domains of the corresponding areas and the detection accuracy of the 3-dimensional image information.departmental bulletin pape
Numerology in John Donne
application/pdfIn this paper I consider the numerology in John Donne's Songs and Sonnets. Frequent mention has been made of his use of numerology. Fowler (1970) pointed out his use of numerology of the center in "The Exstasie", and Frost (1990) revealed the numerological structure of the D切otionsupon Emergent Occasions. However, the comprehensive study of the number symbolism in the Songs and Sonnets has never been made. The first section deals with the complex and intricate symbolism of the number 5 in "The Primrose" and "The Exstasie". The second section attempts to analyze the numerology of the traditional symbol of the triple circle in "The Sunne Rising" and "A Valediction: of Weeping''. The third section discusses other symbolic circles in "The Undertaking", The Canonization", The Relique", and "The Good-morrow." The final section treats his use of temporal numerology in "The Computation", The Anniversarie", "Loves Usury", and "A Lecture upon the Shadow".departmental bulletin pape
Hand-written Cursive Character Segmentation and Recognition
application/pdfThe purpose of this paper is an improvement of a handwritten cursive character segmentation method for its recognition system. The paper was evaluated segmentation from human decision in the past. Now, this paper is evaluated segmentation from character recognition without the help of human decision. Our segmentation method is an alphabet cursive character recognition system in cooperated with segmentation and evaluated segmentation result. Constructed character recognition system is able to use word slant correction. The same way, it was compared character slant correction. Both recognition performances are compared in order to evaluate from recognition experiments. As a result of the evaluation, segmentation precision has been improved by using character slant correction.departmental bulletin pape
Study of Diamond films Electrode used for Liquid Crystal Display Backlighting
application/pdfMinimization of the breakdown voltage of cold cathode fluorescent lamp as liquid crystal display backlight source requires electrode with large ion-induced secondary electron for cathode. The breakdown voltages for electrode material of CVD diamond films are determined using Lissajous method. It is found that the breakdown voltage for diamond surface without polish is lower than that for diamond surface with polish.departmental bulletin pape
Study on the error correction using Low Density Parity Check Codes and Turbo Codes
application/pdfEb/No (Bit Energy per Noise power density) becomes very small value and decoding becomes difficult by the signal level decreases to very small in the Wireless Communication. The error correcting codes becomes very important in the picture transmission. Recently, Turbo Codes and LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) Codes have been researched as a very strong error correcting codes. The occurrence of the error can be suppressed by using error correcting codes of Turbo Codes and LDPC Codes. This paper analyzes the effect of error correcting codes and shows error rate every SIN (Signal per Noise rate) ratio.departmental bulletin pape
Research Works Accomplished by Using the Electron Microscope System : XVI
application/pdfSome of the works that have been performed with the Electron Microscope System during the period of August 2004 to July 2005 are presented. They include: 1) Decomposition of dichloromethane by photocatalytic reaction of TiO2, 2) Structure of 40% YO1.5-CeO2 solid solution annealed for long period of time, and 3) Preparation of thermosensitive particles with reactive groups.departmental bulletin pape
Magneto-thermoelectric Effect and Fermi Statistics
application/pdfThe response to an impulse electric field is analyzed in order to investigate the heat flow in an electric field and a magnetic field perpendicular to it. The relations of the Fermi statistics with the excited state by an impulse electric field and with the relaxation process are investigated. It is clarified that both are expressed by the strongly modified wave functions at the Fermi level together by the Fermi sphere under it. This state nearly corresponds to the semi-classical theory where the individual electron gains or loses momentum and energy. The heat flow is caused by the energy moment of the strongly modified wave function. It is again confirmed that if the relaxation is forbidden for cooling process the relaxation for heating process on the other edge is also forbidden owing to Fermi statistics.departmental bulletin pape
An Approach to Rational Class Organization Methods in Elective Subjects-based Curricula
application/pdfThis paper proposes an effective lecture allocation method based on users' profiles and utilities in elective subjects. In many universities and colleges, elective subjects systems are employed as a curriculum in which students make their own learning experiences. Students select mutiple subjects based on their interests and preferences. Generally, each university determines members of elective subjects based on only one simple rule, such as the order of grade, random selection, and first arrival. Current determination systems have strong limitations in terms of reflecting users multiple preferences. We propose a new determination algorithm and a user support system based on users' profiles and multi attribute preferences. When users preferences are not reflected in algorithm-based determination, a coordination agent decides lecture allocation cooperatively with each user's agent. Main advantage of our system is mainly that lectures are allocated effectively, that is reflected users' multiple preferences.departmental bulletin pape
Minority Carrier Diffusion Coefficient in Si Wafers
application/pdfA minority-carrier diffusion coefficient for silicon-crystal wafers is demonstrated to express experimental data and to adapt to useful applications. Doping density dependent minority-carrier mobility for Si crystals is theoretically developed along Klaassen scattering model. The model with parameters taken to fit to experimental data revels to well represent the dependence of doping concentration to 1020cm-3 for an n-type Si crystal and 1018cm-3 for a p-type one. A simple formula which represents doping density dependence of a minority-carrier mobiljty was newly deduced from the formula to represent the dependence for majority-carrier mobility. The simple formula proposed represents well the dependence of doping concentration to 1020 cm-3 for an n-type Si crystal and 1018cm-3 for a p-type one. Also is shown the simple formula to show doping density dependence of a minority-carrier diffusion coefficient modified from the above simple function for mobility is proposed to be useful in an application to carrier transport calculation with diffusion process in Si crystal wafers.departmental bulletin pape
