    Taylor expansion of inverse function

    Get PDF
application/pdfThough the Taylor series is mathematically basic and important, it has not been used enough in numerical analysis presently. The Taylor series of inverse functions is important to application. In this paper, we compared efficiency of following calculation methods the Picard's method of successive approximation of solving the differential equation of an inverse function, famous the Lagrange inversion formula and the formal Newton's method to inverse functions. We also show that it is possible easily to calculate the maximum and minimum values of the gamma function.departmental bulletin pape

Investigation of 3D Camera Calibration for Measurement by Low-cost Equipment

    Get PDF
application/pdfIt is shown that the calibration of a TV camera for 3D measurement can be implemented by using easily obtainable and inexpensive tools and materials. The camera model for the calibration is the perspective camera model which is based only on hypotheses of no spherical aberration and no chromatic aberration. The camera calibrated is a commercially available monochromatic camera appropriate for measurement. The accuracy of the calibration is sub-pixel order. The time for calibration is not so much for the laboratory use. The target 3D space for calibration is considered to be wide enough for the robot application.departmental bulletin pape

Synthesis and Characterization of Dimethyladamantyl Unit-Containing Semi-Alicyclic Polybenzoxazole

    Get PDF
application/pdf3,5-Dimethyladamantyl unit-containing semi-alicyclic poly(o-hydroxy amide), precursor polymer of the polybenzoxazole, of high molecular weight was synthesized by the low-temperature solution polycondensation of 5,7-dimethyladamantane-1,3-dicarbonyl chloride with N,N',O,O'-tetrakis(trimethylsilyl)-substituted 4,4'-diamino-3,3'-dihydroxybiphenyl. Subsequent thermal cyclodehydration of the precursor polymer at 300°C successfully afforded the polybenzoxazole with high molecular weight. The poly(o-hydroxy amide) dissolved in polar aprotic solvents, whereas the polybenzoxazole was insoluble in any organic medium tested. The polybenzoxazole was stable up to around 400°C under nitrogen and had a low dielectric constant of 2.866. The mechanical properties of the polybenzoxazole film were excellent, its tensile strength, elongation at break, and tensile modulus were 110 MPa, 6%, and 3.3 GPa, respectively.departmental bulletin pape

Aqueous Condensation Polymerization of Butyl Cyanoacetate with Formaldehyde -Research works accomplished by using Electron Microscope System: XIX (2)-

    Get PDF
application/pdfBase-initiated condensation polymerization of butyl cyanoacetate with formaldehyde has been performed in HEPES buffer (pH 7.4). Dimethylamine was used as a base. Particle size increased with an increase in buffer concentration, but higher concentrations resulted in the formation of aggregates during polymerization. Particle number was almost constant at the conversion up to 75%, but decreased to one-half at the conversion of 85%. These results indicate that aggregation of primary particles would occur at the final stage of polymerization.departmental bulletin pape

Random Walk on Sierpinski's Gasket formed by Cellular Automaton method

    Get PDF
application/pdfArrival time and trajectory of a random walk particle on Sierpinski's Gasket formed by the cellular automaton were examined. Start point of the random walk was set at tip (pattern A) and the reverse-direction (pattern B) of Sierpinski's Gasket, respectively. Under the two conditions, each number of steps and a trajectory of particle by random walk was analyzed. Trajectory of the particle was analyzed using the embedding theorem of Takens. It was indicated that the random walk of the particle on the fractal showed a chaotic trajectory.departmental bulletin pape

The Cognitive Structure on Environmental Pollution (6) --The mutipple regression analysis and factor analysis--

    Get PDF
application/pdfThis study was carried out to clarify the cognitive structure of young people on environmental pollution. Subjects were 251 college students. They were asked to express their degree of anxiety on 18 phrases and approval or disapproval on 20 statements related to environmental pollution. First, multiple regression analysis was administered where the criterion variable was the anxiety score and the explanatory vairables were the responses to 20 statements. Several vairables contributed to anxiety score. Secondlly, factor analysis was administerd and three factors were extracted. Those factors were called resignation, nuclear power generation, and pollution. The comparison of factors at three periods showed the change of the years. The ambivalent attitude to nuclear power generation represents Japan of today.departmental bulletin pape

Dispersion relation of Bloch function and Landau diamagnetism

    Get PDF
application/pdfThe possibility of anomalous Landau diamagnetism caused by anomalous dispersion relation in Bloch functions is examined. For this purpose the general restriction on the dispersion relation of Bloch function is investigated in one dimensional case. The analogy between the wave equation as a function of x and the mechanical equation as a function of time is utilized. By the aid of Lagrangean action integral, variations of some important integrals are estimated. The conclusion is given that the derivative of the energy by the momentum exactly equals the current of one electron. The exact relation, although evident in the case of free electron, imposes a rather strict restriction on the dispersion relation of Bloch function.departmental bulletin pape

Charged Fog Generated by Ultrasonic Atomization of Water

    Get PDF
application/pdfThis study examined the electrification quantity of the fog in doing ultrasonic atomization of pure water. In the water of low purity, the electrification fog in proportion to the induced voltage polarity arose. However, in the water of high purity, the electrification fog of the negative polarity arose with no relation to the application of negative induced voltage. Especially, it was found that the negative charged fog arose, even when the induced voltage was not applied in the high-pure water. From this fact, when the purity of the water rises, the electric double layer which exists in air/water interface, seems to have firmly been formed. This fact was supported from the measurement results in mixing the surfactant. In addition, the generation of the electrification fog was promoted, when the chemical compound with hydroxyl group dissolved.departmental bulletin pape

A Suggestion about adjustment algorithm of orders hoped applicants to a number of frames adjustment algorithm

    Get PDF
application/pdfIn a certain group, if you can assign everyone in two or more frames one by one as decided capacity of each frame. It is simple. However, when you reflect the hope of everyone where they want to be transferred, it becomes not simple, because of it is bias their hope. Then, I propose to two methods. One is esteeming their opinions as much as possible, and the other is esteeming their opinions a little in the cause of making the capacity of each frame changeable a little. I show results of practicing each method.departmental bulletin pape
