Reduction of N-(γ- or δ-oxoacyl)oxazolidinone
application/pdfWe expected that treatment of optically active N-(γ- or δ-oxoacyl)oxazolidinone 6 or 7 with a reducing agent resulted in the formation of optically active lactone 9 or 11. Using borohydrides as a reducing agent, the corresponding lactone was given via the cyclization of intermediate 8. Unfortunately, enantioselectivity of the synthesized lactone was low. On the other hand, the reduction of 6 or 7 with diisobutylaluminum resulted in transformation into the corresponding tetrahydrofuran or pyran derivative 13 or 14, not the corresponding lactone or lactol. Surface morphology and secondary electron emission property of micro-needle structured diamond electrode fabricated by back sputtering
application/pdfThe roughness of diamond surfaces were formed using O2 gas in a reactive ion etching (RIE) system. The electrode materials were used stainless steel (SUS) and MgO sintered ceramic. The diamond samples to be etched are positioned on the power electrode. After etching the diamond samples with O2 plasma, the roughness of diamond surfaces were observed with atomic force microscope (AFM). The breakdown voltages of diamond electrodes were measured under various Ne pressure with a V-Q Lissajous method. The micro-needle array on the diamond surface was fabricated at MgO electrode. The secondary electron emission coefficient in the case of MgO electrode is about two times higher than those in the case of SUS electrode.departmental bulletin pape
Analysis of Distributed Constant Circuit by FFT
application/pdfThe variation of voltage and current in long distance power transmission lines or in communication lines are obtained as the solution for the distributed constant circuits. In this paper, we treat the case in which the internal impedance of the power supply for the input to the sending end of a network is zero and its receiving end is grounded . On this situation, it is known that the voltage and current in the circuit are expressed by the Fourier series . We show that the result is approximated by certain order finite Fourier transform. By thi s way, we can calculate the voltage and current by using FFT(Fast Fourier Transform). As a result, the calculation time becomes too short . It is shown that the proposed method is effective to the education of transmission lines.departmental bulletin pape
Dependence of Raman spectra on surface orientation of rutile TiO2 single crystal --Research works accomplished by using Electron Microscope System : XXII (3) --
application/pdfRutile TiO2 powder and rutile single crystal TiO2 were studied by Raman spectroscopy . Since powder sample oriented in random crystallographic direction, Raman spectrum of it did not change when measured several times . However the results of Raman spectroscopy for single crystal TiO2 were different. Spectra of (001) and (100) surfaces were quite different from those obtained for powder sample. Especially Raman spectrum of (100) surface changed when it was rotated with respect to the polarization direction of incident beam.departmental bulletin pape
Disruption and electrification of a water droplet on the superhydrophobic surface
application/pdfIt is known that a few highly charged, very tiny drops eject from the relatively large drop which charge-to-mass ratio increases with the evaporation. This phenomenon is known as a Rayleigh limit. This report examined the ejection of the droplet from water drop which caused on the hydrophobic surface of Tefron. It was found that the droplet was ejected by electrostatic force and repulsive force which arises from surface tension of the water and the emission frequency of the droplet increased when Teflon has been charged. In the superhydrophobic surface, there was the ejection of the small droplet in the condition that the surface had not been charged. The charge of the small droplet increased with the electrification of the surface. It was considered that these phenomena was related to the hydrophobicity of the surface, and the effect of material and thickness was secondary.departmental bulletin pape
Characterization of monoclonal antibodies raised against rat colonic mucin
application/pdfTo obtain a tool to study the structural characterization as well as the detection of mucin derived from rat colonic mucosa, we developed four monoclonal antibodies (MAbs), designated RCM1303, RCM2135, RCM3601, and RCM3705, against mucin purified from rat colonic mucosae. In ELISA, all of the MAbs reacted with the immunogenic mucin. However, the MAbs were classified into three groups from the differences in their reactivity against each mucin obtained from gastric, jejunum or colonic mucosae of rats. These results suggest that at least three kinds of mucins are produced and secreted in rat colonic mucosa. These MAbs might be useful tools to evaluate functions of these mucins.departmental bulletin pape
Narrative as solution without solution--the narrative form of Takaaki Yoshimoto's Kyōdō Gensōron--
application/pdfThe goal of this paper is to discuss the form of "narration" and "description" in Takaaki Yoshimoto's Kyōdō Gensōron. I will first survey the intellectual design of Kyōdō Gensōron, and then analyze its narrative form. What becomes clear here is the narrative form of making an "abstract territory" emerge by positioning a transfigured "narrative" behind a juxtaposed "small narrative" and by requiring the reader to change his or her view in order to resolve this connection. In this essay, I will position the primordial topology of the above form as "narrative as solution without solution" by applying the understanding of metaphor in Umberto Eco's "scheme of proportions" in an expansive interpretive fashion. This proceeds as follows: first, by the "narrative" that transfigures the juxtaposed "small narrative" being placed after that small narrative, a frame as solution is established and positivity is given to an "abstract territory" as isotopia. However, by means of the function of the "scheme of proportion" type of metaphor that simultaneously comes out of the juxtapositionality (heterogeneity), the frame as solution comes to identify the "narrative" that never completes (at times, while filling a different frame in an overdeterminative fashion) a meaningful resolution between "narratives." Referring to the above topology of expression, I call this the "narrative as solution without solution." We can see that the new possibility of narrative lie in the topology of "narrative as solution without solution" in Yoshimoto's Kyōdō Gensōron.departmental bulletin pape
