A study of figure drawing authentication using accelerometer attached pen
Get PDFapplication/pdfIn recent years, smartphones and tablet PCs are widely used in our daily lives. Therefore, there is a need for more enhanced security of every terminal and mobile device. However, there are several problems on operation specific to touch screen devices. One of the problems is that there is a possibility that the information about passphrases, which are entered by users to operate the devices, will be able to read by attackers and others. In this article, we propose a figure drawing authentication method, and also we explain our analysis method with SOM (Self-Organizing Maps) as a suitable biometric authentication method. In this study, we measured the value of Z axis acceleration to check the tilt of the pen, and then we calculated SOM to train the personal feature pattern of every user, and as a result we evaluated the usefulness of a personal identification method.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFapplication/pdfPowder of anatase-type titanium dioxide (TiO2) was pressure treated repeatedly under hydrostatic pressure of 1 GPa at room temperature. Formation of α-PbO2-type TiO2 by the pressure treatment was detected by X-ray diffraction and Ramen scattering studeies. Amount of α-PbO2-type TiO2 formed was less than one formed by ball-milling of anatase-type TiO〓 powder. However, the α-PbO2-type TiO2 can be prepared with less contamination by the method presented here than by the ball-milling.departmental bulletin pape
A personal authentication method for smartphone against shoulder surfing
Get PDFapplication/pdfIn this article, we discussed features of resistant for shoulder-surfing attack on smartphone at the time of PIN code inputting. Generally, smartphone is not safe for shoulder-surfing attack, because it has large screen and operational movements of fingers are shown on the touch panel. Therefore we propose a personal authentication method and an interface against shoulder-surfing attack for smartphone. The proposed method has 3 features to defend shoulder-surfing attacks as following: 1) variable alignment of ten keys on 5x6 key matrix, 2) control of constraint display time and 3) dummy keys contained in key matrix. Using proposed interface, we experimented 20 subjects to compare our method from usual PIN code input method. Then the result of the experiment showed that proposed method can decrease more than 70% success rate ofshoulder-surfmg attacks. Mit dem Hinweis skizziert die vorliegende Abhandlung seines ursprüngliches Denken an die „Kulturindustrie". In meiner Dissertation, die über die Bedeutung der frühen Werken Horkheimers hervorgehoben hat, ich habe seine Pubertät als die Termin einst betrachtet, die er unter den Deutschen Expressionismus geriet. Solches künstlerisches Erlebnis in seinen jungen Jahren ausrichtete ein wesentliches Moment seiner politische und philosophische Einsichten. Diesmal will ich durch seine Studien auf gegenwärtigen Problematik der Massenmedien bemerken. Hier geht es eine Hauptfrage, heißt es, wie kann man als ein Subjekt ästhetische und politische Expression ausdrucken? A Sociological Study on "No Answer" in an Opinion Research

It fluctuates according to the relation between the respondents' attribute and the question. In this paper, it became clear that "no answer" increases in proportion to "reply impossibility " and a lack of party-concerned consciousness of respondents'. On the other hand, if the questions can be answered by applying "common sense" and "general feeling", or if they can be recognized to be "problems which a municipal government should tackle" by a citizen view, "no answer" decreases.departmental bulletin pape
Preparation of Glycidyl Methacrylate-Styrene Copolymer Latex and Particle Adsorption --Research works accomplished by using Electron Microscope System : XXII (1)--
Get PDFapplication/pdfGlycidyl methacrylate (GMA)-styrene (St) copolymer latex has been prepared from the polymerization in an emulsifier-free aqueous medium. The effects of GMA weight fraction in the monomer feed on the particle size, and the adsorption of bovine serum albumin (BSA) onto the resulting particles were investigated. Transmission electron microscopy measurements showed that final particle size decreased with GMA weight fraction up to 70wt% and then slightly increased at fraction of 90wt%. The amounts of adsorbed BSA for these particles significantly decreased with an increase in GMA fraction up to 30wt% and were then kept constant at 30wt% or above. These results indicate that little non-specific protein adsorption would occur for glycidyl methacrylate-styrene copolymer latex prepared at GMA fraction at 30wt% or above.departmental bulletin pape
