A Study Based on the Open Circuit Voltage to Measure the Remaining Charge of the Nickel-Metal Hydride Battery.
application/pdfThe objective of this study is to define the parameters, which especially related to the capacity of the rechargeable battery, and to quantify the relationships between the parameters and the amount of charge. In this paper, we focused on the characteristics of terminal voltage during discharge and after discharge. To grasp the remaining capacity, it can be estimated by the relationship between discharge stopped voltage and open circuit voltage, which is based on the experimental data. Preparation of silica gels releasing aldehyde molecules upon contact with water and moisture.
application/pdfSilica gels bearing imine moieties on its surface were prepared from the corresponding silane coupling agent and unmodified silica gels. The imine moieties effectively hydrolyzed in an aqueous suspension, inducing the release of covalently bound aldehyde molecules such as benzaldehyde from the silica gels. Moreover, the hydrolysis and simultaneous release were observed upon contact with moisture, showing that the modified silica gels were responsive to the surrounding moisture content. These results indicate that the humidity-controlled substance releasing system was achieved, and can find invaluable use in the field of environment-sensitive releasing materials.departmental bulletin pape
Social Acceptance of the Japanese National Identification Number System
application/pdfThis is a social acceptance study of the Japanese National Identification Number System (My Number System). This study finds that perceived usefulness gives positive effects on people's attitude toward the system and perceived risk gives negative effects on it. In addition, perceived fairness and perceived convenience give positive effects on perceived usefulness and perceived privacy threat gives positive effects on perceived risk. A Study of Mutual-Reliability Protocol on Push-Type Communication for Mobile Cloud
application/pdfGoogle Cloud Messaging for Android (GCM) is a service that allows us to send data from our server to our users' Android-powered device, and also to receive messages from devices on the same connection. The GCM service handles all aspects of queue of messages and delivery to the target Android application running on the target device. It is desirable that the communication port of the users' device is always open. This is a practical problem of power consumption of the mobile terminal. To solve this problem, there is a push-type communication for mobile cloud. In this paper, we study how to establish the safety and encrypts the message in push-based one-way communication. Effect of methanol addition to mixture of electrode paste on the performance of direct ethanol fuel cells --Research works accomplished by using Electron Microscope System: XXIV(3)--
application/pdfTo mix Pt powder, carbon powder and SiO2 powder is an important step to create efficient electrode paste for direct ethanol fuel cells (DEFC). In this study, electrode paste for DEFC was prepared with/without methanol addition. Then the current and the power density of the cells were measured to fmd the optimum amount of methanol for the mixing process. The microstructures of mixed pastes were also observed by scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. It was found that addition of 45 % methanol into the paste components yielded the best power density and current. The good performance was due to the fact that SiO2 was evenly distributed in the paste when 45 % methanol was mixed. The reason behind this result was discussed.departmental bulletin pape
Mechanical Design Education Incorporating the Manufacturing of Individual Specification

They are convenient for the expert engineer in a machine design method. However, it can use easily also for the student who has not mastered space grasp capability and the rule of a design. Therefore, the result which designs the difficult product of manufacture or use in fact is caused. Our mechanical design is large class about 80 students. Therefore, the individual counseling is difficult in large class. Furthermore, it is difficult to manufacture the designed parts to all student in school hours. High efficiency encapsulation of nano particles in the chaperonin GroEL--Research works accomplished by using Electron Microscope System: XXIV(2)--
application/pdfThe chaperonin GroEL is a double-ring structure which is constructed with 7 subunit ring of 57 kD, and those ring forms back to back. GroEL is bound with ATP and the co chaperon GroES for assisting protein folding in the cell. GroES is a septemer ring structure of 10 kD, and forms an asymmetric bullet shaped complex and a symmetric football shaped complex with GroEL. We tried to encapsulate metal nano particle in the mutant GroEL which can constructs stable football shaped complexes.
