    Study of Security Consciousness, Knowledge, and Behavior on a Smart Phone: Questionnaire survey for students

    application/pdfWe conducted a questionnaire survey to students about the security consciousness, knowledge, and behavior on a smart phone. Though we considered that there might be relations among them, there are no relations as a result of survey. On the other hand, it becomes clear that a student's gender influences the security knowledge and the behavior on SNS, and that the faculty to which a student belongs influences the security consciousness and the attacker or victim experiences. Moreover, a student's "behavioral patterns", such as a practical use of functions on a smart phone and a participating situation to SNS, affects to the behaviors on SNS and to the attacker or victim experiences. The Social attribution such as gender and a faculty and the usual "behavioral pattern" on a smart phone influence whether a student behavior is safe or risky, rather than the security consciousness and knowledge. Therefore, we propose that a suitable "training (experience study)" for each social attribution is more effective in the security countermeasures on a smart phone than a lecture.departmental bulletin pape

    Actual condition survey of home return of elderly from Geriatric Health Services Facility

    application/pdfThis study aimed to clarify the factors that promote a smooth home return of elderly from Geriatric Health Services Facility, by investigating support activities associated with return and responses from family members about receiving elderly members back into their homes. We performed an interview survey of 5 nurses (2 senior nurses, 1 staff nurse, and 2 nurses) at Geriatric Health Services Facility in Tokyo. Semi-structured interviews were performed and interview contents were summarized as individual data using unique IDs. Data were then classified into categories and sub-categories according to conceptual commonality and differences. The results revealed that the factors that promote smooth home return formed 15 subcategories within 10 categories.departmental bulletin pape

    Magnetic and transport properties of degenerate ferromagnetic semiconductors

    application/pdfBy applying the coherent potential approximation (CPA) to simple models, we have studied the temperature (T) dependence of the normalized magnetization M(T) and electrical resistivity ρ(T) of rare-earth-doped EuO. The present result reveals that in degenerate EuO, the Coulomb attraction between a donor electron and an impurity center is so well-screened that the magnetization is described by a Electron-doped EuO model. The strong double-dome feature of M(T) of Gd-doped EuO is a consequence of half-metallicity and low dopant activation resulting from less than one electron being donated per Gd atom. In degenerate EuO, the temperature dependence of the resistivity is well described as ρ(T) = ρC + ρm(M), where the ρC is the nonmagnetic scattering contribution (independent of T) and ρm(M) is the magnetic scattering contribution due to the exchange interaction with localized f spins. The screening effect considerably reduces the difference in M(T) and ρ(T) between Gd- and La-doped EuO.departmental bulletin pape

    application/pdfMesoporous SiO2 (SBA-15) was synthesized at different stirring speeds during the preparation process. Samples were characterized by TEM and small-angle x-ray diffraction. Sizes of mesopore were calculated from these results. It was found that stirring the liquid solution at 200 rpm resulted in the highest small-angle x-ray diffraction peak at 2 6 =1 °. To make mesopores with uniform diameter, the solution should be stirred at 200 rpm within the experimental condition (60-400 rpm) used in this study.departmental bulletin pape

    application/pdfIt is known that Ca14Al10Zn6O35: Mn4+ synthesized by a solid state reaction from metal oxides and carbonates are red phosphors. In the present study, Ca14Al10Zn6O35 based phosphors were successfully synthesized for the first time by a polymerized complex method. In addition to manganese, titanium was added as a luminescent center and luminescent color of Ca14Al10Zn6O35 based phosphor was modified by varying the ratio of both luminescent centers. The phosphor containing only titanium as a luminescent center showed blue fluorescence under irradiation of UV at 254 nm. The luminescent color was changed from blue to magenta with increasing manganese content, and the luminescent color of the phosphor containing only manganese as a luminescent center was red.departmental bulletin pape

    Development of ECHONET Lite SDKs Considering Multiple Platforms and International Competition

    application/pdfHEMS Certification Support Center has been doing activities to promote ECHONET Lite, communication protocol that is a key component to build Home Energy Management System (HEMS). We introduce some Software Development Kits (SDKs) we have developed in this report. In order to build HEMS, various devices and controllers need to implement ECHONET Lite protocol, and run-time environment of software varies between embed system, PC and smartphone in terms of hardware specifications and type of Operating System (OS). So we developed several Software Development Kit (SDK) to support various platforms. On the other side, there are several communication protocols for Home Automation and HEMS in the world, such as Superior Energy Performance (SEP), KNX, HomeKit and NEST.     Development of a HEMS User Interface for Conserving Electric Power Consumption

    application/pdfAfter the Great East Japan Earthquake, Home Energy Management System (HEMS) attracts attention for using a method to conserve electric power consumption. There are several studies on HEMS such as automatic generation of power saving advice and a model of gamification to incent users' behaviors. However, a problem of the former is to consider only demand of electric power. For generating advice, we need consider not only demands but also consumption. In the latter, a method for continual utilization is insufficient because there is no efforts when a user achieved a mission. This paper develops a HEMS user interface for conserving electric power consumption. The interface has two functions. First function notifies power saving advice by animation characters.
