Study on Longitudinal Collision Risk of Closely Spaced Parallel Runways Paired Approach
This study asserts that paired aircraft can withstand specific wake turbulence levels and explores the longitudinal collision risk in closely spaced parallel runway approaches. The goal is to enhance the safety margin of the paired approach and allow for more flexible implementation. Based on QAR data, a theoretical spacing model for paired aircraft and a probability distribution of acceleration error are established to facilitate the analysis of the actual spacing of paired aircraft. Wake turbulence attenuation is modelled using large eddy simulation, creating a vortex attenuation model. Drawing inspiration from the Hallock-Burnham vortex model, new models for induced velocity and vortex core motion are proposed. The study assumes that trailing aircraft can handle certain wake intensities, leading to a new model for calculating wake turbulence safety intervals, limiting the trailing aircraft’s maximum roll angle to its critical limit. Using probability theory, a model for longitudinal collision risk is formulated, combining wake turbulence safety separation and the actual separation of paired aircraft. The study also examines various factors influencing longitudinal collision risk, emphasising the significant impact of crosswind conditions. It concludes that a stronger crosswind component reduces the wake turbulence safety separation, thereby increasing the risk of longitudinal collisions, particularly during the final stage of the approach. Notably, collision risk is directly proportional to the crosswind component and initial longitudinal separation, but inversely proportional to runway spacing
A Literary and Comparative Analysis of the Amnon and Tamar Story (2 Sam 13:1-22)
Drugi je dio književna analiza pripovijesti o Amnonu i Tamari, čiji su glavni elementi: njezin kontekst, ekspozicija, Amnonova ljubav, mudrost njegova prijatelja Jonadaba, silovanje, mržnja i istjerivanje. In this article, the author conducts a literary and comparative analysis of one of the most tragic tales in the Bible, the story of Amnon and Tamar – a tale of moral failure that includes rape and bloodshed within the house of King David. The author demonstrates in his analysis the broader context of the story, closely relating it to the episode of David and Bat-Sheba and the trilogy of Absalom’s tales, which includes the rape of Tamar by Amnon, the murder of Amnon by Absalom, and Absalom's rebellion, which ends in his death. The author's main argument in this paper is that the biblical writer weaves various hidden literary motifs into the objective description of the story, creating a complex system of analogies to help the reader understand the moral lesson through a literary, linguistic, and stylistic analysis of the plot, background, and characters. The article is divided into three main parts. The first part provides two short introductions: one about the literary design of narratives in the Bible and the other to clarify Tamar's family lineage. The second part of the article is a literary analysis of the story of Amnon and Tamar, focusing on the main elements, which include the context of the story, the exposition, Amnon's love, the wisdom of his friend Jonadab, the rape, the hatred, and the expulsion. The third part is a comparative analysis of the story of Amnon and Tamar with the following biblical stories and texts: the story of Joseph, the story of Dina's rape, the story of Judah and Tamar, and finally, the Song of Songs. The author uses many sources from rabbinic literature, ranging from Talmudic times through the Middle Ages to modern times. Much of this literature has been translated into Croatian from Hebrew and Aramaic for the first time by the author

Osteoporosis as a risk factor for the development of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo
Objectives: The aim of this study is to examine the association of vitamin D levels, ionized calcium,
and densitometry findings with the onset of BPPV.
Participants and methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted, including 40 subjects over the age
of 18 who were diagnosed with BPPV based on a positive result of the Dix-Hallpike maneuver. Clinical
assessments were performed by an otorhinolaryngology specialist. Subjects with a confirmed diagnosis of
BPPV were further referred for laboratory tests to measure vitamin D levels, ionized calcium in the blood,
and bone densitometry.
Results: Out of 40 subjects, 37 (93%) were women, and 3 (7%) were men. In all cases, the posterior
semicircular canal was involved. The right side was affected in 23 subjects (58%). Osteopenia and
osteoporosis were recorded in 34 subjects (85%). Reference range values for vitamin D were recorded in
19 subjects (4%), while ionized calcium levels were within the reference range in 7 subjects (18%). Sixteen
subjects (40%) had both values within the reference range. No significant associations were found between
gender, clinical form, or affected side and the values of vitamin D, calcium, or densitometry findings.
Conclusion: However, an association was observed between the presence of osteoporosis and BPPV,
suggesting that osteoporosis may be a risk factor for the development of BPPV. The study could not
establish the influence of low vitamin D or ionized calcium levels on the development of BPPV. Further
research is needed to better understand these potential relationships
FOX-Inspired Optimizer with Support Vector Regression Modeling of Water-Based CaCO3-CuO-SiO2 Trihybrid Nanofluids Thermal Properties: Comparative Study
Recent advances in artificial intelligence have spurred significant interest in accurately predicting the thermophysical properties and rheological behavior of nanofluids. This study introduces four support vector regression (SVR) models optimized using the Dragonfly Algorithm (DA) and the novel FOX-inspired Optimization Algorithm (FOA). The models were evaluated with two cross-validation techniques, Leave-M-Out (LMO) and Holdout, to estimate the thermal properties of trihybrid nanofluids (THNFs). Trained and tested on a diverse dataset compiled from published experimental studies, these models exhibited exceptional predictive accuracy. Performance evaluation using metrics such as mean squared error (MSE) and Theil's U² revealed remarkably low error values, with all models achieving correlation coefficients (R) and determination coefficients (R²) exceeding 0.999. The results demonstrate the superior capability of these models to predict dynamic viscosity and thermal conductivity with high precision. This study’s findings hold substantial industrial significance, particularly in energy, thermal management, and manufacturing sectors

IntroductionPsychocardiology is an interdisciplinary field that connects psychology and cardiology in order to provide comprehensive care for patients with cardiovascular (CV) diseases. Psychological factors such as stress and depression significantly influence the progression of these diseases, while empathy and resilience play a crucial role in improving treatment outcomes.
MethodsA systematic literature review was conducted using the PubMed and Google Scholar databases for the period between 2011 and 2023. Studies assessing the impact of empathy and resilience on health outcomes in CV patients were analyzed, as well as studies evaluating interventions aimed at developing these traits. Inclusion criteria encompassed both quantitative and qualitative studies that tracked long-term treatment outcomes in hospitalized patients.
ResultsAn empathetic approach in cardiological care was associated with higher adherence rates to therapeutic recommendations and reduced hospitalizations. Patients who experienced empathy from healthcare professionals had a 25% higher adherence rate to treatment and 40% fewer hospital readmissions within a year. Resilience was linked to better patient adaptation to chronic illness, reducing stress and promoting healthier lifestyle choices. Interventions such as education and support significantly enhanceed these traits, thereby lowering the risk of complications and improving recovery.
ConclusionEmpathy and resilience play key roles in the care of CV patients, positively influencing their psychological and physical outcomes. Implementing programs to strengthen the empathy of healthcare professionals and the resilience of patients can improve treatment quality and overall well-being in CV patients
Evaluating nutrient degradation and degradation kinetics of some starch-rich cereal and legume grains in sheep consuming a starch-rich diet
This study aimed to determine the in-situ nutrient degradation and degradation kinetics of some starch-rich cereal and legume grains in sheep consuming diet containing high (32%) level of starch. Three cannulated Akkaraman sheep, 5-6 years old, were utilized in the study. Sheep with rumen cannula were fed with diets containing 32% starch 10 days before and throughout the trial. The study used barley, and corn as starch-rich cereal grains, Hungarian vetch, and forage pea grains as pulse grains to determine nutrient degradations. The feed samples used in the in-situ study were incubated for 0, 2, 4, 8, 12, 24 and 48 hours in the rumen for 3 sheep as 6 replicates for each incubation time. Dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), crude protein (CP) and starch degradation rate of feeds were calculated. The water-soluble fraction, the potentially degradable fraction, and the non-degradable nutrient fraction were also calculated. Degradation kinetics of nutrients were determined. By-pass CP contents of feedstuffs were calculated using 12 h incubation values. Except for starch, all degradation values for all incubation times, degradation rates, and nutrient fractions for all nutrients were significantly different among feedstuffs (P < 0.05). It can be concluded from this study that DM, OM and CP degradations of corn and forage peas and Hungarian vetch (HV) were higher after 48 hours of incubation, while starch degradations of barley were higher than corn. From the point of view of acidosis, it was concluded that the degradation rates of corn and HV were significantly slower than barley and forage pea and that these feedstuffs can be preferred at higher rates, especially in high starch rations, which may reduce the risk of acidosis
Dvogodišnje istraživanje utjecaja vremena zriobe na svojstva predivog lana (Linum usitatissimum L.) i vlakana
To revitalise the production of flax fibres in Croatia, a joint effort of different experts, such as textile and agronomist specialists, was needed. Considering that flax fibres were a significant part of Croatian cultural heritage and that natural fibres are now attracting increasing interest in fashion, the need for reviving flax production seems meaningful. To revitalise flax fibre production, an interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology and the Faculty of Agriculture was established. The goal was to revive flax production in Croatia in the traditional way to define and improve the quality of flax fibres. The paper presents the results of several achieved morphological and physical-mechanical properties of foreign flax fibre cultivars, pulled at three different maturity stages (green, yellow, and full). The trial involved five flax fibre cultivars: Viking, Viola, Venica, Agatha, and Electra, which were cultivated over two years at two different experimental fields (Zagreb, Križevci). The investigation in this way enables the identification of the possibility of introducing foreign cultivars to the continental lowland region of north-western Croatia. The results indicate that cultivars Viola and Agatha achieved higher values, particularly at the Križevci location. The highest values of investigated properties were recorded when the fibre flax was pulled at the green maturity stage compared to other maturity stages. U radu su prikazani rezultati nekoliko postignutih morfoloških svojstava stranih kultivara predivog lana i fizikalno-mehanička svojstva lanenih vlakana, ubran u tri različita vremena zriobe (zelena, žuta i puna).
