Prediction of Important Factors for Bleeding in Liver Cirrhosis Disease Using Ensemble Data Mining Approach
No full textThe main motivation to conduct the study presented in this paper was the fact that due to the development of improved solutions for prediction risk of bleeding and thus a faster and more accurate diagnosis of complications in cirrhotic patients, mortality of cirrhosis patients caused by bleeding of varices fell at the turn in the 21th century. Due to this fact, an additional research in this field is needed. The objective of this paper is to develop one prediction model that determines most important factors for bleeding in liver cirrhosis, which is useful for diagnosis and future treatment of patients. To achieve this goal, authors proposed one ensemble data mining methodology, as the most modern in the field of prediction, for integrating on one new way the two most commonly used techniques in prediction, classification with precede attribute number reduction and multiple logistic regression for calibration. Method was evaluated in the study, which analyzed the occurrence of variceal bleeding for 96 patients from the Clinical Center of Nis, Serbia, using 29 data from clinical to the color Doppler. Obtained results showed that proposed method with such big number and different types of data demonstrates better characteristics than individual technique integrated into it
Condition monitoring through engine oil analysis tests
No full textLubricant, as the contact element of the tribomechanical system, is the carrier of information about
the state of the whole system, from the aspect of tribological and other ageing processes. Using oil analysis
programs for engine oils has several benefits: reduction of unscheduled vehicle downtime, improvement of vehicle
reliability, help in organizing effectiveness of maintenance schedules, extension of engine life, optimization of oil
change intervals and reduction of cost of vehicle maintenance. This paper deals with the physical and chemical
tests as a part of oil analysis that are used for its condition assessment. Furthermore, the results of experimental
research of physical and chemical characteristics of oil sampled from engines of vehicles Mercedes O 345, are
shown. It was realized that there were changes of the physical and chemical characteristics of oil for engine. These
changes directly depend on condition of the entire engine elements, i.e. depend on their functional characteristics.
The presented method of oil analysis should contribute to an early detection of failures due to friction and wear
processes in vehicle engines and reduce the need for preventive maintenance

Nova arhitektura i rizici u poslovanju sa platnim karticama
Get PDFDigitalization in all spheres of social life, widespread
distribution and numerouspossibilities of smart phones as well as
increasing amounts and scope of electronic contents and services lead
to the emergence of new expectations and new requirements of banks,
buyers and sellers, which refer to contemporary architecture of
payment card operations. Payments make integral part of business
operations regardless of whether we talk about traditional or on-line
business operations, and this is why it is necessary to find the best
manner to pay for goods or services using new technological and
communications solutions. The subject of research in this paper is the
analysis of characteristics of contemporary risks, development factors,
economic effects and distribution of payment cards within the system of
e-money, e-payment and e-banking, with a view to indicating the
possible positive economic consequences and necessity to innovate and
complete legal regulations in this area.
The paper uses both general and specific scientific methods and
procedures of logical conclusion, statistical, as well as positivist legal method. The manner of research includes the selection and application
of scientific methods, the selection of data and the scope of research.Digitalizacija u svim sferama društvenog života,
velika rasprostranjenost i mogućnosti „pametnih“ telefona i sve veća
zastupljenost elektronskih sadržaja, usluga, dovodi do pojave novih
oĉekivanja i novih zahteva banaka, kupaca i prodavaca, koji se odnose
na savremenu arhitekturu poslovanja sa platnim karticama. Plaćanja
su sastavni deo poslovnih operacija, bez obzira da li se radi o
tradicionalnom ili onlajn poslovanju, te je iz tih razloga neophodno
pronaći najbolji naĉin da se plati za dobra ili uslugu uz korišćenje
novih tehnoloških i komunikacionih rešenja.
Predmet istraživanja u radu je analiza karakteristika
savremenih rizika, faktora razvoja, ekonomskih efekata i zastupljenosti
platnih kartica u sistemu elektronskog novca, plaćanja i elektronskog
bankarstva, sa ciljem da ukažemo na moguće pozitivne ekonomske
posledice i neophodnost inoviranja i upotpunjavanja zakonske
regulative u ovoj oblasti.
U radu su korišćene opšte kao i posebne nauĉne metode i postupci
logiĉnog zakljuĉivanja, statistiĉki, kao i pozitivistiĉki pravni metod.
Naĉin istraživanja sadrži: izbor i primenu nauĉnih metoda, izbor
podataka i obuhvat istraživanja

A contribution to defining of integrity testing in police : crime-investigating aspects
Get PDFThe shortcomings of reactive approach to suppression of corruption in police, as well as in other spheres of so-called consensual and "victimless crime" required introduction of proactive investigations and relying on covert methods of work. New crime-investigating strategy relies largely on building of professional integrity, as well as its testing, including integrity testing. This is a specific mode of simulated investigating methods which should show if the police officers in certain simulated situations are corrupt or prone to commission of other crimes, misusing their position and status. Although hypothetically any member of the police can be tested, the tendency is to do targeted testing, in other words to test those who are suspected of being criminalized. Considering that integrity testing is essentialy simulated deal/activity, in which the subject is put into a simulated environment in order to see if he will commit an indictable act, it is important in its implementation to take care of encouraging, or acting in the role of agent provocateur
A new legal solution on recidivism in Serbian Criminal legislation
Get PDFFrom the adoption of the Criminal Code in 2006 until the latest amendments of 2019, the Serbian criminal legislation treated recidivism as an optional aggravating circumstance, which had its specific legal status in comparison with other mitigating and aggravating circumstances. According to the new legal solution, instead of being optional, recidivism has become a mandatory aggravating circumstance. Together with clearly specified condi-tions for harsher penalties this narrows down the possibility of free judicial decision-making when meting out punishment. The paper answers several questions: whether harsher penalties for recidivists are only the result of con-tinuous tightening of repression at a normative level, whether and to what ex-tent the criminal-law framework has been improved, and whether returning to some solutions, which were not normally applied in court practice, can be marked as approriate to achieve the desired degree of crime prevention. Final critical conculusion is that the new legal solution on recidivism appears regres-sive, given that the court is strictly bound by the law through oblitatory condi-tions regarding prior and persistent offending, which is in compliance with the general trend of tightening repression at the normative level and reducing the role of the court to the level of administrative application of the norm
