Inicijalni metod za indikaciju mišićne strukture muškaraca definisan MBI metodom
The current generic model of body composition is defined by four primary dimensions: water, proteins, minerals and fat mass. The most contemporary method of body composition analysis is the method of bioelectrical impedance (BIA) which registers a large number of body structure indicators quickly and noninvasively. One of the elements of body structure and the one most responsible for man's quality demonstration of motor abilities is muscle mass structure. In previous technological attempts at the examination of man's morphological structure, muscle mass was estimated indirectly and in that way its quantitative characteristics were defined. The goal of this research is to define the initial model of men's muscle structure indicators measured by means of the direct method and to do that via the multichannel bioelectrical impedance of the latest generation - InBody 720. The basic participant characteristics were: age 30.81±9.73 years, mass 86.17±14.95 kg, height 182.35±7.09 cm, BMI 25.88±3.99. This research comprises six variables for defining muscle components of body structure: two primary (proteins and skeletal muscle mass) and four derived (ratios between: skeletal and muscle mass, proteins and muscle mass, proteins and body mass, BMI and proteins) variables. The results showed the following descriptive values of the measured variables: proteins 14.11±1.64 kg, muscle mass 40.59±4.99 kg, the percentage of muscle mass in the body 47.59±4.34 %, the index of muscle thickness 0.348±0.002 kg, percentage of proteins in the body 0.165±0.015 kg, the ratio between BMI and proteins 1.842±0.246. The dispersion of the data results indicates that all the variables can be used as representative and scientifically valid for further studies.
Teaching computer science in a web-based environment
Programming is a major subject in Computer Science (CS) departments. However, students often face difficulties on the basic programming courses due to several factors that cause these difficulties. Maybe the most important reason is the lack of problem solving abilities that many students show. This paper describes the web-based environment Pex4Fun from Microsoft Research for teaching computer science. Pex4Fun can be used to teach and learn computer programming at many levels, from high school all the way through graduate courses. Pex4Fun was experimentally used for learning Visual Basic with college students, the results of which are presented in this paper
Community Policing and Local Self-Government: A Case Study of Serbia
The concept of community policing is based on constant consultations between the police and the local self-government and a complex system of preventative responses. A qualitative approach has been applied in a rural community based on the analysis of administrative documents from 2003 to 2011, direct observation and a survey examining the attitudes of 65 police officers who participated directly in the project implementation. The major findings include the existence of a centralized police model and traditional policing, the resistance of low and middle managers to change and the absence of continuous consultations between the police and local self-government

Study program selection by aggregated DEA-AHP measure
Upon the completion of the common first-year curriculum, under graduate university students may find it difficult to choose the most appropriate study program. This paper deals with a methodology that may help students select it on the basis of their first-year marks, i.e. their efficiency. We have used data on the students' marks from the official database at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade, to determine the weights of the first-year subjects in order to predict future students' success on each of the study programs, separately. The aggregated measure, as the combination of weights obtained by Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) as an objective, and Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) as a subjective method is defined for determining the subject's weight. Furthermore, based on the weights assigned to subjects according to departments, we have selected subjects relevant for assessment of future students' success and recommended the appropriate study programs
Uloga privatnog obezbeđenja u proceni rizika izvršenja udesa u proizvodnji, prometu, transportu i skladištenju eksplozivnih materija
Although private security services in the Republic of Serbia have not yet been regulated by national law, there are many manifestations of their activities, which are directed towards the protection of people, property, business, and environmental protection. Regarding positive laws on private security sector and the Draft Law on Private Security, as well as up-to-date practice in this area, the author deals with the role and capacity of private security agencies in risk assessment about accidents involving explosives. Special attention is paid to risk assessment involving production, handling, transportation and storage of explosives due to specific requirements for those explosive materials. The author also points out the importance of risk assessment and actions of private security agencies in identifying potential explosive hazards in order to take adequate and timely measures to protect human life and health, property and environment.
Methodological and ethical challenges in crisis and disaster research
The history of civilization essentially represents an uninterrupted series of conflicts
and periods of stability and peace, moving from radical to moderate streams, from barbarism to
progress. Traditions of liberal learning have been severely shaken by the global 2008 economic crisis
and the human intelligence became a weak instrument in front of the onslaught of new mega corporations willing to profit and seize new markets, undermining the objective rules of the morality. The
security of the planet is at risk, and the managing, designing and dosing of the crises and disasters
becomes part of the potential disintegration arsenal as a tool to seek new markets and implications.
Disoriented and disillusioned people, by seeking new bases and values, easily succumb to impose
“revolutions” that suppress the mind, emphasizing conflict paradigm that precisely opens massive
manipulation gaps, spreading spiritual crisis and social pathology. Therefore, the twenty-first century society is in a continuous state of uncertainty, collapse, divisions and paranoia, which favours
further spread of violence and insecurity, so crisis management remains as one of the global security
barrier
Effective risk management liquidity and general standards of liquidity
Liquidity risk is the risk of adverse effects (unexpected losses) on financial results and equity due to bank’s inability to properly fulfill its obligations. Risk management is very important, given that the insolvency of one bank can have far-reaching effects on the entire financial system and the global environment, as confirmed by the crisis in the U.S. mortgage market, which began by subprime loans in 2007 and then spilled over to the entire world. Many debt holders refused or were unable to stop their investments creating huge problems of funding for financial institutions. These problems are exacerbated their difficulties to sell their assets to secure financial resources. This paper analyzes the sources of liquidity, including liquidity risk and asset liquidity risk financing (funding). Liquidity of assets is analyzed as the ability to generate cash, depending on market conditions, spread (bid-ask price) and the impact of the market, and the time horizon of liquidation, and the value at risk (VaR) is extended to VaR adjusted liquidity. Funding liquidity risk analysis, based on an assessment of the basic structure of liabilities and off-balance sheet items, using gap analysis, emphasizes the importance of contingency planning functions financing, practical experiences of managing liquidity risk and introduction of general-Basel III liquidity
Information technology impact on changes in company organizational structure
The nature of production, market competition and the development of human society suggest that the technical and technological development is the condition for economic progress. Engineering and technology in all their dynamics have become both a condition and assumption of further development of a society. Thanks to new technological achievements in information sphere the assumptions have been created for more efficient and more productive business activities. Information Technology (IT) has powerful influence on the entire structure of a company, although it is not realized to the same extent or in the same way within all of its segments. It is more pronounced in some cases and less in some others. However, the IT influence is increasing and in many ways it becomes more important if compared with the influence of other situation factors which determine the company organizational structure
Application of game theory in the modeling function of police negotiation
Game theory is a mathematical theory of conflict situations between rational decision-makers, whose decisions affect each other. In addition, the conflict situations are characterized
by two (or more) opposing sides, with antagonistic goals (mutually opposed and irreconcilable);
where the result of each action of participant depends on what action the opponent will choose.
Due to the antagonism of parties objectives involved in the negotiations, negotiation is particularly
suitable for modeling activities by means of the theory of games. Of special interest to the police organization is the police negotiation organization. In this context, this paper focuses on the modeling of police negotiation through the game theory
