This dataset contains the source code for two C++ utilities used to generate the data in the paper "Computing diffusivities from particle models out of equilibrium". One utility is written for the Zero Range Process (ZRP), one for the Symmetric Exclusion Process (SEP) and Kawasaki dynamics. Each utility is accompanied by a README file that explains how to run and configure the code, and how the particular data in the paper were produced.The zip file contains two folders, one for the Zero Range Process, and one used for the Simple Exclusion Process and Kawasaki dynamics. Dataset for meta-analysis of techniques to promote motivation for health behaviour change
This dataset was created following data extraction of a systematic review of intervention studies reported within published articles and dissertations conducted through methods described in the paper "A meta-analysis of techniques to promote motivation for health behaviour change from a self-determination theory perspective". The aim of the systematic review and meta-analysis was to explore what behaviour change techniques are used in interventions targeting health behaviour change, and how they influence the theoretical mediators of behaviour change as set out by Self Determination Theory. The mediators analysed were; autonomy, competence and relatedness satisfaction, perceived autonomy support, and autonomous motivation. The dataset includes information on the design, aims, participants and context of each study, and primary data of mean and standard deviations of pre- and post-intervention target mediators where available. Effect sizes were computed from this information for meta-analysis. Where mean and standard deviations were not provided, effect sizes were estimated by converting available data (e.g., change scores, odds ratios, F statistics).The data were gathered through a systematic review of the literature from 1970 to 2017. For details of the search strategy used, see the methods section of the associated paper.Full details of the meta-analysis may be found in the sections 'Analysis' and 'Intervention quality' of the associated paper.All analyses were computed on SPSS for Windows version 22. The .sps macros should be compatible with SPSS for Windows version 6.1 and higher.

Dataset for "Predicting Ligand-Free Cell Attachment on Next Generation Cellulose-Chitosan Hydrogels"
There is a growing appreciation that engineered biointerfaces can regulate cell behaviors, or functions. Most systems aim to mimic the cell-friendly extracellular matrix environment and incorporate protein ligands; however, the understanding of how a ligand-free system can achieve this is limited. Cell scaffold materials comprised of interfused chitosan–cellulose hydrogels promote cell attachment in ligand-free systems, and these data were used to demonstrate the role of cellulose molecular weight (MW) and chitosan content and MW in controlling material properties and thus regulating cell attachment.

Data for 'Efficient characterisation of large deviations using population dynamics'
We have produced a research paper 'Efficient characterisation of large deviations using population dynamics' investigating the nature of rare events in the SSEP. We study activity distribiutions of this process on a one dimensional lattice with periodic boundary conditions. The process is simulated using a C++ code and parallelisation is used to increase computational efficiency. The two parallelisation methods that we use are OpenMP and MPI and these are stored in a repository in this data set. The codes are designed such that they can be used to study rare events in other processes and study observables other than activity. The dataset includes .txt and .mat files output by the C++ files and by the .m files used for processing. Further .m MATLAB files are used to produce the data and tables within the paper.Running simulations with .cpp and .hpp header files. Producing some analytic values with .m MATLAB files.Data processed and plotted with .m Matlab files. To run alternative systems or observables the user is required to define classes in header files.Computational files: .cpp, .hpp and Matlab files are included in this dataset. The OpenMP and serial codes are run with an intel compiler (icpc) and the MPI codes are run with the corresponding intel MPI compiler (mpiicpc). This dataset includes the model data used in the paper "The influence of swash-based reflection on surf zone hydrodynamics: a wave-by-wave approach", published in Coastal Engineering, vol. 122, pp. 27–43. It contains the raw model data from the A6-mono, A7-mono and A6-01 wave tests used in the paper (surface elevation, pressure and horizontal and vertical velocity). The OpenFOAM setup files needed to recreate every wave test from the paper are also provided.For details of the methodology used, see the corresponding paper: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.coastaleng.2017.01.006Modelling was conducted using the computational fluid dynamics package OpenFOAM, v2.1.1 (https://www.openfoam.com/). Data set for Hybrid top-down/bottom-up fabrication of highly uniform and organized faceted AlN nanorod scaffold
This dataset contains scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) pictures and Catodoluminescence (CL) measurements carried out on AlN nanorod. The samples were fabricated via a hybrid top-down/bottom up approach. Displacement Talbot Lithography is used to fabricate Au/Ni metal dots to act as a hard etch mask. Ultrathin AlN nanorod arrays are created thanks to a two-step dry-wet etching process with first, chlorine-based dry etching of an AlN template and second, KOH-based wet etching. AlN facet recovery is performed by Metal Organic Vapor Phase Epitaxy for various regrowth time. TEM and CL were used to assess the structural and optical quality of the AlN nanorod, respectively.Secondary electron images were captured using a Hitachi S-4300 scanning electron microscope (SEM). An accelerating voltage of 5 kV was used to collect the images.
Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images were captured using a JEOL 2100 with an accelerating voltage of 5kV. All acquisition has been performed along the [10-10] zone axis.
Cathodoluminescence hyperspectral imaging measurements were carried out at room temperature in a modified FEI Quanta 250 field emission SEM using electron energies of 15.0 keV and beam currents of approximately 7 nA. Light was collected using an NA 0.28 reflecting objective with its axis perpendicular to the electron beam and focused directly on the entrance of the spectrograph using an off-axis paraboloidal mirror. We used a 125 mm focal length spectrograph with a 600 lines/mm grating and 50 μm entrance slit, coupled to a cooled electron multiplying charge-coupled device (EMCCD) detector.The nanorod investigated by TEM were mechanically removed from the substrate in an ultrasonic bath and then dispersed on a carbon grid

The dataset includes detail of fibre treatments with adhesion promoter and the impact of treatment duration on the fibre ends. Then the detail of mechanical properties of polymer waveguides are presented under both transverse misalignment and tensile stress. The effect of photo-bleaching is also investigated when polymer bridges were put under tensile stress. Finally, extra information is presented about millimetre-long waveguides and how the bidirectional curing technique enabled us to fabricate up to 1.2 mm long polymer waveguides. The supplementary materials also include the actual data (Excel files) used to make the graphs in the paper.For optical transmission experiments all spectra was recorded by Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA). In order to measure insertion loss of each waveguide, the trace associated with optical fibre that polymer waveguide integrated with was subtracted from the trace corresponding to plain fibre which was considered as reference assuming that the loss of 3m-4m can be ignored. the spectra were taken over the wavelength range of OSA ( 350nm-1750nm) which enabled us to measure loss at any particular wavelength in that range. For misalignment measurements and polymer bridge dimensions Image J program was used to measure the distances on micrograph pictures which were taken by high resolution camera mounted on the microscope
