    Dataset for "Influence of MOVPE environment on the selective area thermal etching of GaN nanohole arrays"

    This dataset contains scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images of various selective area thermal etching (SATE) experiments. SiN circular nano-opening are created via Displacement Talbot Lithography and Inductively coupled plasma dry etching. Then thermal etching is performed for various conditions within a metal organic vapour phase epitaxy growth reactor to create highly organized GaN nanoholes.Secondary electron images were captured using a Hitachi S-4300 scanning electron microscope (SEM). An accelerating voltage of 5 kV was used to collect the imagesThe (11-22) GaN layer used for SATE was grown on m-plane sapphire using our high temperature AlN buffer technique by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). The substrate is initially subjected to thermal cleaning in flowing H2, and an atomically flat AlN layer with a thickness of 220 nm is then grown at 1170 °C, followed by the growth of a single GaN with a thickness of 1.3 μm at 1100 °C. SiNx mask were fabricated on 2-inch c-plane GaN and (11-22) semi-polar GaN template. 30 nm SiNx was first deposited by Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD). A ~ 270 nm bottom antireflective coating (BARC) (Wide 30W – Brewer Science) layer and a ~ 360 nm high-contrast positive resist (Dow® Ultra-i 123 diluted with Dow® EC11 solvent) were spin-coated at 3000 rpm. Circular openings were defined in the resist via Displacement Talbot Lithography (PhableR 100, Eulitha) using a coherent 375 nm light source, an energy density of 1 mW.cm-2 and a gap of 150 μm. An integration time comprised between 210 and 270 sec and a Talbot length of 8.81 μm was employed for the 1.5 μm pitch amplitude mask with 800 nm diameter circular opening while an integration time of 60 sec and a Talbot length of 750 nm was employed for the 500 nm pitch phase mask with 300 nm diameter circular opening. After a post-bake at 120°C for 1 min 30 sec, the resist was developed in MF-CD-26 for 90 sec. The circular openings were then transferred into the BARC and SiNx layers via an inductively coupled plasma dry etch system (Oxford Instruments System 100 Cobra) with the following parameters: a CHF3 chemistry of 25 sccm, a temperature set to 20 °C, a pressure of 8 mTorr, 50 RF power and 300 W ICP source power. Finally, the wafer was cleaned in a piranha solution (3:1) to remove the resist and BARC, an oxygen plasma to remove any residue and deep in BOE 100:1 for 10 sec. SATE was carried out in a 1 x 2” horizontal Aixtron MOVPE reactor

    Dataset for 'PrFeO3 photocathodes prepared through spray pyrolysis'

    PrFeO3 (PFO) has been shown to be an active photochemical water reduction in slurry reactors, but has yet to be shown as a photocathode for photoelectrochemical water reduction, to the best of our knowledge. The work herein describes the fabrication of active PFO photocathodes through a spray pyrolysis method with subsequent calcination at 500, 600 and 700˚C. The films were prepared on fluorine-doped tin oxide aluminoborosilcate glass for the application of solar water reduction. This dataset includes characterisation of these PFO films including, XRD, XPS, photoelectrochemical measurements and electronic impedance spectroscopy measurements. Datasets are also included from those incorporated within the supplementary information.Characterisation of PrFeO3 films on FTO-ABS glass slides were obtained. Including X-ray diffraction, UV-Vis and photoelectrochemical measurements.XRD diffraction patterns were obtained from a STOE STADI P double setup, equipped with Mythen detectors, using pure Cu-Kα1 radiation (λ= 1.540562 Å) with a range of 2θ from 20 to 80°. PEC measurements were carried out in a three electrode PEC quartz cell with working electrode, Pt counter electrode, an Ag/AgCl reference electrode, and a 0.1 M Na2SO4 electrolyte of pH 12. A 300 W Xe lamp equipped with an AM1.5G solar simulator filter (LOT Quantum Design) was used with an 8mm-diameter masked area. The intensity was measured to be 100 mW cm-2 determined by the distance to the working electrode. An external potential (provided by Ivium CompactStat) was linearly swept from 0.2 to -1.12 VAg/AgCl at a rate of 20 mVs-1 under chopped solar illumination. Stability measurements were held at held at 0.43 VRHE for 1 h. IPCE measurements were conducted at 0.29 VRHE. Electronic impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements for RC limited current calculations were carried out in 0.1 M NaSO4 with a DC of -0.3 VAgCl and AC potential frequency range 10^5-0.1 Hz with an amplitude of 5 mV under dark conditions. Experimental transient photocurrents were obtained under chopped illumination (1 sun) at 0.3 VAgCl with a data collection interval of 0.01 s. Electrochemically active surface area (ECSA) measurements were carried out by conducting cyclic voltammetry (CV) between 0.2 to -0.3 VAgCl at varying scan rates between 10 and 200 mV s-1. The difference in anodic and cathodic current densities recorded at -0.03 VAgCl was plotted against scan rate. The double layer capacitance (Cdl) can be calculated by dividing the gradient by two, where Cdl is directly proportional to the ECSA.     The dataset contains data for testing the Scholexplorer API (https://scholexplorer.openaire.eu/) based on the Scholix (Scholarly Link eXchange) framework, link to Python code for testing, and data collected from the API using the code developed. Data was collected in two phases for testing purpose - in September and November 2019. Output data include DOI and metadata (title, author name, publisher name) for datasets associated with University of Bath research outputs.To find any links between University of Bath research output and datasets published in external archives, DOIs of University of Bath research outputs were collected from the Pure system. A set of Python code was developed to test the Scholix API for this purpose. The code was then used to collect data from the API. The zip file with codes includes instructions for using the code in a README.md file.Statistical programming language R was used for data analysis and visualization.Python 2.7.1

    This dataset consists of hourly internal and daily external temperature data from 82 certified Passivhaus dwellings in the UK. The data can be used for calculating overheating risk and guaging how comfortable a home would be in the summer. This data come from 16 different sites and includes houses and flats. Some of the data is from the living room only, for other dwellings there were sensors in muitple rooms and these are indicated. As this data was compared to CIBSE TM59 "Design methodology for the assessment of overheating risk in homes", there is a calculation of the running mean temperature and maximum temperature.This data was provided by the Technology Stratergy Board Building Performance Evaluation Program, and is available from the digital catapault. Other data was provided by WARM low energy Consultancy and indidiual home owners.     The witness-aimed first account: A new technique for interviewing autistic witnesses and victims, experimental data 2017-2019

    Thirty-three autistic and 30 typically developing (TD) participants were interviewed about their memory for two videos depicting criminal events. Clip segments of one video were ‘scrambled’, disrupting the event’s narrative structure; the other video was watched intact. Autistic people experience social communication difficulties alongside specific memory difficulties that can impact their ability to recall episodic events. Police interviewing techniques do not take account of these differences, and so are often ineffective. Here we introduce a novel Witness-Aimed First Account (WAFA) interview technique, designed to better support autistic witnesses by diminishing socio-cognitive and executive demands through encouraging participants to generate and direct their own discrete, parameter-bound event topics, before freely recalling information within each parameter-bound topic. Since witnessed events are rarely cohesive stories with a logical chain of events, we also explored witnesses’ recall when the narrative structure of the to-be-remembered event was lost. Although both autistic and TD witnesses recalled fewer details with less accuracy from the scrambled video, WAFA interviews resulted in more detailed and accurate recall from autistic and TD witnesses, for both scrambled and unscrambled videos. The WAFA technique may be a useful tool to improve autistic and TD witnesses’ accounts within a legally appropriate, non-leading framework.Note: ASD = autism spectrum disorder; TD = typically developing; WAFA, Witness-Aimed First Account interview. The study employed a 2 (Group: ASD vs. TD) × 2 (Interview: WAFA vs. control interview) × 2 (Video: scrambled vs. unscrambled) mixed design, where Video was within participants (counterbalanced between the two videos, groups, and interview conditions). All participants watched two videos, one of which was scrambled, and were interviewed about each video with either a WAFA interview or control interview. The dependent variable was interview performance, measured by the number of correct and incorrect details reported, and overall accuracy scores (correct details as a function of total details recalled). PARTICIPANTS: A total of 63 participants were recruited: 33 autistic adults (27 males) and 30 TD adults (16 males). Autistic participants were recruited through existing databases at the University of Bath and City, University of London, and through ongoing recruitment calls for new participants via social media, local autism networks and organisations, and local newspaper advertisements. All autistic participants had received a formal diagnosis of ASD by experienced clinicians through the UK’s National Health Service according to DSM–IV (American Psychiatric Association, 2000) or DSM-5 criteria (American Psychiatric Association, 2013), which was confirmed with a copy of their original detailed diagnostic report. Those who had received a diagnosis but were unable to produce a detailed letter received the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2; Lord et al., 2012), to confirm their diagnoses

    Supplement for "Me vs. Super(wo)man: Effects of Customization and Identification in a VR Exergame"

    This supplement describes an approach that can be used to create an “enhanced“ avatar based on a) a realistic, current avatar (R) and b) an idealised, desired future avatar (I) of a user. The aim of the approach is to create avatars that reflect “enhancements” of the realistic avatar along a realistic trajectory. The realistic avatar is used as a starting point, and the idealised avatar as a “goal”.The participants are asked to create a realistic avatar (R) and an Idealistic avatar (I) using an off-the-shelf software tool for video game character design, Autodesk Character Generator. The tool provides an interface for the design of avatars based on blend shapes, i.e. pre-defined body shapes that can be combined to adjust face and body design. Participants are given guidance on how to customise a base character to make an avatar in their own likeness by choosing the character sex (male or female), face shape (by blending two faces together), facial features including eye, mouth and nose shape, body shape (by blending two body shapes together). Customising body shape and eye colour. Skin tone, hairstyle, hair colour and eye colour. Finally, participants were are given a choice of garments for the top half and lower half, plus a choice of shoes. Once the realistic and idealistic avatars have been produced the aim of the approach is to create avatars that reflect “enhancements” of the realistic avatar along a realistic trajectory.
