Dataset for "Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering of Crystal Violet"
Lumerical data includes a text file with the electric field strength data in a plane 26 nm from the silicon substrate surface as presented in graphical form in the paper. The associated material models and fit settings in Lumerical are included in a screen shot. Data set for "Doubly-resonant enhancement of Second Harmonic Generation from a WS2 nanomesh polymorph with a modified energy landscape"
WS2 is an example of a transition metal dichalcogenide, and a highly promising 2D material for nonlinear optics. This dataset contains plots of multiphoton emission spectra and coordinates of second harmonic generation (SHG) hotspots of WS2 polymorphs and thin films formed into a nanomesh, that is, a tridimensional webbed network of densely-packed stacks (of 1–5 layers) of twisted and/or fused 2D nanosheets. The locations of the emission hotspots were determined by illumination at 1225, 1050, and 850 nm incident wavelengths.Multiphoton imaging: Samples were illuminated from 850 to 1300 nm in incrememnts of 25 nm with a constant average power of 0.5 mW. Images of the emission from 425 to 650 in 32 steps were taken.An in house script was used to take the resulting images, convert them to greyscale and averaging the pic intensity in the area specified using the coordinates chosen or the whole of the image. The resultant data was then plotted.Zen Blue was used to obtain the data and Zen Black to convert the .czi to .jif files. A python script was then used and results in a .csv file. Origin was then used to plot the data.Hotspot coordinates are provided in MS Excel format. The plot of pixel intensity versus wavelength is provided as an Origin Unicode Project file, which may be inspected with the Origin Viewer application
Dataset for "Interplay of crystal thickness and in-plane anisotropy and evolution of quasi-one-dimensional electronic character in ReSe2"
Data associated with paper on ARPES and computational studies of rhenium diselenide. Contains:
- Raman data used to identify number of ReSe2 layers;
- ARPES data on an associated pair of monolayer and bulk-like ReSe2 flakes with the same crystallographic orientation;
- ARPES data on a set of monolayer, bilayer and trilayer ReSe2 flakes with the same crystallographic orientation;
- Input parameters and output projected wavefunctions for modelling the band structure of monolayer ReSe2 using the plane-wave density functional theory code Quantum Espresso.Micro-Raman spectroscopy. A Renishaw InVia system was used with 532 nm excitation and a x100 objective, giving a spatial resolution of better than 1 micron, adequate to select each of the 1L, 2L and 3L regions in turn.
Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES). Nano-ARPES data were obtained at the ANTARES beam line of the SOLEIL Synchrotron, Paris, which is equipped with a zone plate allowing a spot size of 120 nm, an angular resolution of ∼0.2 degrees and an energy resolution of ∼10 meV.

Dataset for "Confinement loss of anti-resonant capillaries with curved boundaries"
This dataset contains the data used to create Figures 3 to 7 in the paper, "Confinement loss of anti-resonant capillaries with curved boundaries". The different Figures, and the related datasets, represents the confinement loss of hollow-core fibres with either a solid core surround or an anti-resonant core surround and with a wide range of different geometrical shapes and structural parameters. In all cases, the results are compared with the confinement loss of reference circular fibre structures. Data for Figures 3 to 5 is calculated with an in-house boundary element code. Data for Figures 6 and 7 is calculated using the commercial finite-element solver, COMSOL Multiphysics.Full details of the methodology may be found in the associated paper.Data for Figures 6 and 7 is calculated using the commercial finite-element solver, COMSOL Multiphysics (https://uk.comsol.com/).The spreadsheets are in MS Excel (.xslx) format and are named after the Figure to which each relates. Each spreadsheet contains a "Description" sheet that provides full details of the data

Dataset for "Deep Eutectic Solvent in Water Pickering Emulsions Stabilised by Cellulose Nanofibrils"
These files contain raw SAXS, rheology, and laser diffraction data associated with the paper titled "Deep Eutectic Solvent in Water Pickering Emulsions Stabilised by Cellulose Nanofibrils" in the form of .txt files. This includes information on menthol:dodecanoic acid in water emulsions stabilised with cellulose nanofibrils as well as starch, Tween-20, and SDS.Rheological measurements of each sample were made using a stress-controlled Discovery Hybrid Rheometer, Model HR-3 (TA Instruments) with a sand-blasted 40 mm parallel plate geometry. The temperature was kept at 25 °C using a Peltier unit (±0.1 °C). Results were copied directly from the software to a tab delimited format.
SAXS data was collected on an Anton-Parr SAXSpoint 2.0, using an SDD of 556.9mm. Values for the two sets (1.5 wt% OCNF and 1.5 wt% C8-OCNF are not normalised to each other and so have offset in y). The instrument is known to have a single dead pixel which sometimes results in an anomolous single-point peak.
Droplet size data was collected using a Mastersizer 3000E laser diffraction particle size analyser (Malvern, UK). Droplet size is reported as Sauter diameter D[3,2] for easy comparison
