Get PDFThis article promotes a reading on notions some of Contemporary thinkers that take into account the "practical of man about himself", by taking limits the theses Nietzsche’s mnemotechnical and Sloterdijk’s anthropotechnical, which have the aim was to show how the human "adaptation" the statutes socializing over millennia, but perceived intensively only since the nineteenth century. Processes of containment, care of man to man and domestication are exposed weaknesses pointing this being, as well as the new directions of Contemporary Philosophy before all human yearnings for control, maintenance and handling of life.Este artigo promove uma leitura sobre noções de alguns pensadores da Contemporaneidade que levam em consideração as “práticas do homem sobre si mesmo”, tendo por limites as teses de mnemotécnica de Nietzsche e de antropotécnica de Sloterdijk, as quais apresentam o intuito de mostrar como ocorreu a “adaptação” humana a estatutos sociabilizantes ao longo de milênios, mas percebida de maneira intensiva somente a partir do século XIX. Processos de contenção, cuidado do homem para com o homem e domesticação são expostos apontando as fragilidades desse ser, bem como os novos rumos da Filosofia Contemporânea diante de todos os anseios humanos por controle, manutenção e manipulação da vida

Get PDFThis article aims to bring an analysis of the notion of "affirmative culture" in Herbert Marcuse, establishing some approximations of critical theory with reflections on the technique undertaken by Martin Heidegger. What we have in mind is that culture shape society, constituting civilization. But can we say that civilization and society are the same thing? Does culture really is what form society and civilization? The concern we have, therefore, is to try to define what makes us human and what makes us live in society. With this analysis, mainly literature, we intend to show that Marcuse can point us a way to overcome the "affirmative culture", seeking an aesthetic pleasure that is above the economic and ideological relations of bourgeois society.Este artigo tem como objetivo trazer uma análise da noção de "cultura afirmativa" em Herbert Marcuse, estabelecendo algumas aproximações de sua teoria crítica com as reflexões a respeito da técnica empreendidas por Martin Heidegger. O que temos em mente é que a cultura forma a sociedade, constituindo a civilização. Mas será que podemos dizer que civilização e sociedade são a mesma coisa? Será que a cultura realmente é aquilo que forma a sociedade e a civilização? A preocupação que devemos ter, portanto, é tentar definir o que nos faz sermos humanos e o que nos faz viver em sociedade. Com esta análise, essencialmente bibliográfica, pretendemos mostrar que Marcuse pode nos apontar um caminho para a superação da "cultura afirmativa", buscando uma fruição estética que esteja acima das relações econômicas e ideológicas da sociedade burguesa
Trágico nos trópicos. Trabalhando Nietzsche no Brasil
Get PDFThis paper is a presentation of the first results of a research in progress, whose main objective is to establish a reflection on the constitution of a philosophy of the tragic in Brazil. The philosophy of the tragic in modernity is born under the influence of German idealism and intensifies, with Nietzsche, as an alternative to conceptual rationality of modern science and the hierarchy of values proposed by the Judeo-Christian morals. Just as the young Nietzsche finds in ancient Greece the foundation for the development of his philosophy of the tragic - the Dionysian – it is possible that we can extract from the worldview of Yoruba culture, which survives even today in West African and Brazilian territories, within the liturgical process of worshiping the Orisa, elements that allow the formulation of our own tragic thought. Both Nietzsche and the Yoruba culture value the body as the primordial instance in the production of knowledge. Thus, we should observe how the production of concepts from the Yoruba worldview can contribute as an alternative to the knowledge that privilege at its base what Derrida pointed as "ethnocentrism" and "logocentrism."Este trabalho é uma exposição dos primeiros resultados de uma pesquisa de mestrado em andamento, cujo objetivo principal é estabelecer uma reflexão sobre a constituição de uma filosofia do trágico no Brasil. A filosofia do trágico nasce na modernidade sob a influência do idealismo alemão e se intensifica, com Nietzsche, como alternativa à racionalidade conceitual da ciência moderna e à hierarquia dos valores proposta pela moral judaico-cristã. Assim como o jovem Nietzsche encontra na Grécia Antiga o fundamento para a elaboração de sua filosofia do trágico – o dionisíaco – é possível que possamos extrair da cosmovisão da cultura yorùbá, que até hoje sobrevive em território africano e em território brasileiro no processo litúrgico do culto aos orìsà, elementos que permitam a formulação do nosso próprio pensamento trágico. Tanto em Nietzsche como na cultura yorùbá, o corpo é valorizado como instância primordial na produção do saber. Assim, deveremos observar como a produção de conceitos a partir da cosmovisão yorùbá pode contribuir como alternativa aos saberes que privilegiam em sua base o que Derrida apontou como “etnocentrismo” e “logocentrismo”

Get PDFThis paper aims to discuss Jean-Francois Lyotard´s aesthetics from two principle axes: 1) his conception of mass culture and 2) his conception of art. Through the interpretation of some of the main works of Lyotard, we aim to show how throughout the theoretical production of Lyotard about postmodern there is a valuation of new, exotic and multiculturalism that puts him in difficulties to define mass culture and art. The hypothesis that guides this paper is that Lyotard deliberately confuses the two domains. Because of this, his thinking is no longer critical of capitalist cultural production. In fact, what happens is the opposite: his thought is conniving with consumerism in contemporary societies.Este artigo se propõe a discutir a estética de Jean-François Lyotard a partir de dois eixos principais: 1) sua concepção de cultura de massa e 2) sua concepção de arte. Mediante a interpretação de algumas das principais obras de Lyotard, objetivamos mostrar como, ao longo da produção teórica de Lyotard sobre o pós-moderno, encontra-se uma valorização do novo, do exótico e do multiculturalismo que coloca o filósofo em dificuldades para definir cultura de massa e arte. A hipótese que norteia este artigo é a de que Lyotard por vezes deliberadamente confunde os dois domínios, de modo que seu pensamento deixa de ser crítico em relação às produções culturais capitalistas, tornando-se conivente com o consumismo presente nas sociedades contemporâneas

Serão os costumes que encaminham os homens a servir? Ou ainda, a servidão voluntária é resultado de um acaso, o “mau encontro”? Ao mesmo tempo temos os admiradores do tirano, que visando exercerem a opressão ou ainda, visando tomarem o poder do seu senhor, fomentam no cotidiano humano a servidão gratuita.
