Analisis Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Keberlanjutan Bisnis UKM Coffee Shop di Kota Bogor
The high competition for coffee shops in Bogor City can be seen from the
number of coffee shops that are increasing from year to year. In 2019, the number
of coffee shops in Bogor City reached more than 90 stores. Independent coffee
shops include SMEs that are of interest to the community to visit or become a
business or main livelihood. The number of coffee shops that young entrepreneurs
in Indonesia are interested in are because coffee is a commodity that is currently in
vogue and in demand by the world community.
From 2015 to 2018, the total coffee consumption in Indonesia was more
than 1,125,000 tonnes (ICO 2019). The high level of coffee consumption in
Indonesia is offset by the high level of coffee production in Indonesia. In 2015 to
2018, total production reached 2,663,760 tons. According to Syafrudin, Chairman
of Specialty Coffee Indonesia in (Zuhriyah 2019), said there is no data on the
number of coffee shops in Indonesia, but growth in 2019 will reach 15% - 20%.
The very rapid growth will also result in many coffee shop failures in the first five
years. Based on the background and problem formulations described, the purpose
of this study is to determine the critical success factors for the sustainability of an
independent coffee shop in Bogor City, and customer satisfaction who has visited
an independent coffee shop with an age of more than two years. The factors used
in this research are managerial, service, environment, company size and product.
There are two types of respondents used in this study, owners or managers
of independent coffee shops and consumers who have visited independent coffee
shops with an age of more than two years. The number of coffee shop owner or
manager respondents obtained were 65 respondents who were processed using
SEM PLS, and the number of consumer respondents was 154 who were processed
using regression. The result of this research is that the sustainability of independent
coffee shops in the city of Bogor is influenced by three factors, namely managerial,
service and product. The owner and manager of an independent coffee shop in
Bogor City feels the most about the improvement in service in the last one year
managing a coffee shop. This service improvement is the easiest to feel because the
owners always evaluate the service from time to time. Increased service will also
affect customer satisfaction. Consumers who are satisfied with independent coffee
shops in Bogor City are due to good consumer experience when visiting
independent coffee shops
Pengaruh karakteristik Dewan Komisaris terhadap kinerja perusahaan: studi kasus pada BUMN persero terbuka tahun 2014-2018
Public listed SOEs on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) have a strategic
position in the formation of the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) which is one of the
indicators in the national economy. In addition, the role of SOEs that are open to
the state is also very vital (being a payment for dividends and taxes for the state).
Not only that, state-owned enterprises (SOEs) are seen as driving the economy and
nation building through their various business sectors. With a very strategic
position, this public listed SOEs must be managed professionally by implementing
good corporate governance practices.
In the corporate governance mechanism in Indonesia which adopts a two-tier
system, shareholders delegate the authority to supervise the management of the
company which is carried out by the board of directors to the board of
commissioners. Thus, the board of commissioners with their characteristics has a
strategic role to increase the value of the company through the process of
monitoring the management of the company. As far as the researchers' knowledge,
in the context of research on the influence of corporate governance on the
performance of Indonesian companies, there has not been any research that
specifically examines public listed SOEs.
Based on this background, this study aims to (1) analyze the effect of the
number of commissioners on company performance; (2) analyzing the effect of
board of commissioners meetings on company performance; (3) analyze the effect
of the number of independent commissioners on company performance; (4)
analyzing the effect of the education level of the board of commissioners on
company performance; and (5) analyzing the effect of board members' age on
company performance. The measured company performance is ROE and Tobin's Q
in public listed SOEs in the 2014-2018 period.
With data processing techniques using panel data regression on research
variables, the best research model is obtained to measure the effect of the
characteristics of the board of commissioners on company performance. The result
is that the number of independent commissioners and the age of the board of
commissioners have a significant positive effect on company performance (ROE
and Tobin's Q), while the education level of the board members and board of
commissioners meetings has a positive effect on ROE but has a negative effect on
Tobin's Q. Number of board of commissioners do not have a significant effect on
ROE, but have a positive effect on Tobin's Q. The results of this study carry several
managerial implications that can be applied, namely that the Ministry of SOEs
needs to improve several policies related to the regulation of corporate governance
mechanisms, especially on the aspect of the board of commissioners
Pengaruh Karakteristik Individu dan Insentif Kehadiran terhadap Motivasi Kerja dan Kepuasan Kerja serta Kinerja Tenaga Kependidikan
One of the factors of performance appraisal is attendance. Coming late to
the office and leaving early can cause a cost burden for an organization. As an
attempt to increase motivation to attend work on time, IPB University took an
initiative to provide attendance incentives in accordance with Rector's Decree No.
127/IT3/KU/2018 on Incentives for On-Time Attendance for Education Staff in
IPB University. High work motivation is expected to meet the need for job
satisfaction which can improve performance as the final result. Individual
performance is the basis for the achievement of institutional performance, for that
institutions need to understand individual behavior. Individual behavior is affected
by individual characteristics that represent a variety of identities and attitudes. This
study was conducted to analyze the relationship between individual characteristics
and attendance incentives on work motivation, job satisfaction and performance of
education staff.
This research utilized primary data and secondary data. Primary data were
collected through questionnaire distribution to 305 people obtained from a
population of 1,282 education staff using the Slovin formula. In-depth interviews
were conducted with Vice Dean for Resources, Cooperation and Development and
Head of Administration at IPB University. Furthermore, secondary data were
obtained from strategic plans, performance reports, staffing databases, attendance
incentives submission data, performance appraisal data and annual reports in the
Directorate of Human Resources of IPB University. In addition, this research used
descriptive analysis method, Chi-Square cross tabulation to determine the
relationship between respondent characteristics with work motivation, job
satisfaction and performance, and Structural Equational Modeling-Partial Least
Square (SEM-PLS) modeling to analyze the influence between variables.
Chi-Square test results indicated that individual characteristics have a
significant relationship with work motivation, job satisfaction and performance. Job
characteristics have a significant relationship with job satisfaction and performance,
but they have not had an effect on work motivation. Importantly, SEM-PLS analysis
showed that individual characteristics have a stronger effect on work motivation
than on job satisfaction, but they have no effect on performance. Attendance
incentives have a stronger effect on work motivation than on performance. Work
motivation has a significant and stronger influence on job satisfaction than on
performance and other variables in the study. Additionally, job satisfaction
consisting of indicators of expertise, work targets, work comfort, relationships with
superiors, support from colleagues, family atmosphere, family support and own
desire to work has a positive and significant effect on performance
Analisis Pengaruh Eksternal dan Internal terhadap Non Performing Loan Bank XYZ
Banking has a vital role in the economic system of a country. Credit is the
main business activity of a bank, which is a productive asset for a bank.
Therefore, the main risk that a bank has is credit risk. Banking performance in
Indonesia is also getting better with the growth of assets and non-performing
loans (NPL) maintained. This study focuses on the ratio of Non-performing loans
(NPL) at XYZ Bank, which is influenced by external and internal factors.
Bank XYZ has a maintained NPL level. However, in terms of the NPL
ratio per segment, divided into the micro, retail, medium, and corporate elements,
the NPL levels vary. The NPL level in certain segments is worse than the Total
NPL of Bank XYZ. The purpose of this research is to analyze the credit portfolio
conditions of Bank XYZ and to analyze the influence of external and internal
factors on XYZ Bank NPL per segment in both short and long term models.
The data used in this study are secondary data from 2010 - 2017 quarterly,
obtained from various sources (Bank Indonesia, BPS, Financial Services
Authority, and Bank XYZ data). The sample population used in this study is
Indonesian macroeconomic data and financial data at XYZ Bank. The sample
selection method was carried out by purposive sampling. The sample chosen not
randomly using specific considerations that adjusted to the objectives and research
problems.
The cointegration regression model is used in this study to investigate the
factors that affect long-term non-performing loans for Bank XYZ. The
independent research variable (X) includes external and internal factors, namely
GDP, BI Rate, credit growth per segment, ROA, and GCG. The research
dependent variable (Y) provides total NPL, micro NPL, retail NPL, medium NPL,
and corporate NPL. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis and
uses the Error Correction Model (ECM) analysis using time series data.
Based on the discussion and analysis results, internal factors have a more
significant influence in increasing or decreasing the NPL value of Bank XYZ than
the external factors. In the long-term model, the external factors GDP has a
negative and significant effect on all NPL segments of Bank XYZ. In contrast, in
the short-term model, it has a positive and significant impact on Total NPL, Micro
NPL, and Retail NPL. The BI Rate variable has no effect the the long and shortterm
models.
In the long-term model, the internal factor credit growth significantly
affects Total NPL, Retail NPL and Medium NPL. ROA has a negative and
significant impact on the overall NPL of Bank XYZ. Moreover, GCG does not
involve changes in NPL in the long term. The credit growth variable has a
negative and significant effect on Retail NPL and Medium NPL in the short-term
model. On the other hand, Corporate NPL has a positive and significant impact.
ROA variable has a negative and significant effect on Total NPL, Micro NPL,
Medium NPL and Corporate NPL. GCG only has a negative and significant
impact on Corporate NPL.
Further research can do analyzing the influence of external and internal
factor variables outside the model and dividing the NPL per economic sector, per
product, or intended use of credit. It is necessary to identify and analyze further by
refining the model and searching for data sources, especially the test results that
are different from previous theories or research

Good infrastructure is needed to support economic activities. Based on a report from the World Bank (2019) on the global ranking logistic performance index, the condition of Indonesia's infrastructure is ranked 46th, while Singapore 7, Thailand 32 and Malaysia 41. Overcoming the condition of Indonesia's infrastructure, the government undertakes activities to accelerate infrastructure development by increasing the budget allocation for infrastructure development which is expected to be able to provide positive construction industry market sentiment.
Profitability is the company's ability to generate profits or profits, analysis to see the ability to obtain profits on investments made known as Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE). ROA shows the company's financial performance in generating net income from assets used for company operations (Hendrayani 2014), while ROE is a ratio used to measure the company's ability to generate profits using its own capital, the higher the value of ROE obtained will reflect the company's performance more good and vice versa (Susiani 2016).
The ROA and ROE of the building construction sub-sector has decreased every year, the company's profitability is influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors are everything that can be controlled by the company such as cost of revenue and external factors include macroeconomic conditions that occur such as interest rates, inflation, rupiah exchange rate and gross domestic product. So that the growth of this construction sector can be very sensitive to macroeconomic indicators ( Directorate of 2016). Some external problems experienced by construction sub-sector companies include the weakening of the rupiah against the dollar and rising inflation.
Therefore, it is necessary to examine the external and internal factors of the company that influence the company's performance and its impact on the profitability of the building construction sub sector. The research objective is to analyze: (1) the factors that influence the performance of companies in the building construction sub-sector, and (2) the impact of external and internal factors on the profitability of the building construction sub-sector company.

The profitability model of the building construction sub sector company is formulated in the form of a recursive equation system, consisting of 13 equations (7 structural equations and 6 identity equations). The identification results state that the model is overidentified and estimated using the Two Stage Least Squares (2SLS) method.
The results showed that civil income, building income is influenced by the lag variable t-1. Earning before interest and tax is influenced by the company's gross profit and operating expenses. The company's interest expense is affected by the company's total liability. The company's net profit is affected by earnings before interest and tax, company interest expense lag t-1 and tax expense. Return on assets is influenced by the company's net profit and total assets of the company. Return On Equity is influenced by Return On Equity lag t-1.
The impact of external and internal factors on the profitability of building construction sub-sector companies, as follows: (1) in the condition of gross domestic product by 2% and cost of revenue decreased by 2% resulted in an increase in return on assets by 3.57% (ROA to 1.79) and Return On Equity of 0.85% (ROE to 27.21), (2) if inflation rises by 0.5 points and the cost of revenue decreases by 5%, the increase in return on assets is 9.71% (ROA to 1.89) and an increase in return on equity of 1.41% (ROE to 27.36), (3) if the interest rate rises by 10 basis points, the cost of revenue decreases by 8%, resulting in an increase in Return On Assets by 9.47% (ROA to 1.89) and an increase in Return On Equity by 0.51% (ROE to 27.12)

Faktor-Faktor Penentu Brand Switching Produk Kosmetika dengan Sistem Penjualan Langsung Berjenjang Syariah
The rapid development of the cosmetics business industry with a direct
sales system and the high market share of cosmetic products in Indonesia, also led
to the competition of cosmetics product companies. The competition has an
impact on consumers, with the availability of many alternative cosmetic products
that cause many consumers to do brand switching. The cause of the brand shift
made by consumers is also influenced by the need to find variety (Variety
Seeking). In addition to dissatisfaction and finding variations, other factors that
drive brand switching decisions by consumers are also influenced by word of
mouth. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence brand
switching of cosmetics products with a sharia tiered direct sales system.
The sampling technique is done using non-probability sampling, with a
purposive sampling method. Data collection from respondents was carried out
with a structured questionnaire. Some questions in the questionnaire are based on
a scale (scaled response question). The scaling technique used is a Likert scale
where respondents are required to choose one of the Likert scales with five
variations of answers in the order of strongly disagreeing to strongly agreeing.
The data processing uses descriptive analysis and SEM.
The number of indicator variables that make up the SEM model in this
study was 33 indicators, so the number of samples taken was 150 samples.
Sample respondents are consumers who have bought and used Nu Skin products.
The results showed word of mouth and marketing mix had a significant effect on
brand image. Religiosity and marketing mix have a significant influence on brand
attitude. Brand image and brand attitude have a significant effect on brand
switching. Religiosity does not significantly affect brand switching.
Managerial implications based on the results of the study indicate the
influence of the WOM effect on brand image. Nu Skin products marketers can be
used as a reference marketing strategy of consumer habits in accessing social
media by reading product reviews from the circle of friends who have used Nu
Skin products before. The more people review and recommend to others, the
greater the consumer's interest in buying Nu Skin products and the smaller the
intensity involved in brand switching behavior
