The concentration of this empirical research is on the second language effects on academic dishonesty of post-secondary school students. In the current age, the advancement of technology has a drastic contribution to the enhancement of academic and learning activities. It is relevantly significant to recognize the existence of free online tools in respect of google translator metamorphosing the technique of students’ engagement in view of the alternative language. Students at their various academic institutions have developed substantial amount of indulgent interest in the usage of machine translation. Remarkably, issues pertaining to the prevalence of online free translation tools could have been deemed from the perspectives of several critics, as virtually unthinkable. A lot of researchers have conducted studies on issues pertaining to academic integrity such as plagiarism, cheating, falsification, and fabrication of data but most of these studies were done disjointedly. Students who possess the alternative language skill typically have a specific technique to engage in cheating acts and uncommon approaches of their engagement in academic dishonesty. Hence, this study sightsees the impacts of the additional language on the academic dishonesty of students. The participants were the populace of a unique private university students in Baku, Azerbaijan. A self-constructed questionnaire was randomly disseminated among 95 participants of the control group. A plausible contribution of this empirical research is highlighted firstly from the perspective of scarcity of the previous studies as it adds to the existing literature. Earlier studies limited the investigation on the second language students to the classroom settings. Meanwhile, this study expands the scope through the participants’ aptitude to read and comprehend different language aside from the language of instruction at the university. Consequently, the selection of the control group and accurate analysis methods affirm the limitations of this study and open the door of contributions for the succeeding studies

Quality improvement of the teaching process requires teachers to constantly think, analyse and evaluate their own work and try to improve its quality. The paper deals with the introduction of quality management in the teaching process, since one way of improving the quality of education is to build a quality management system at secondary schools, focusing exclusively on schools with Hungarian language of instruction. In the most countries of the world, its trend to create expectations for result of the schools work, we can say standards, which could be regularly controlled. From the most of products it’s required to answer for predetermined standards, and these standards or norms are strictly controlled. In schools they don’t do it. Nobody guaranteed, that the student of that school in which he learn the knowledge, skills, etc. The goal of the study is to point out why these students are unmotivated and in which domain it is worth planning an intervention

The well-known difficulties of the international energy situation and the considerable energy demand of agricultural production require, that the general laws of the main processes in the field of energy and agricultural sciences, which are part of the technical sciences, be explored and analysed with scientific thoroughness. Basic tillage is the deepest tillage in the tillage system. This is often done with a spading machine in greenhouses. The energy required for spading is high. Using a SimuLink simulation based on the assembly model of a spade created with real data, we investigate the effect of operating parameters on the secondary operations of spading, the loosening and shredding. The results obtained are checked by measurements. We measured the compactness of the unworked and worked soil and determine the degree of shredding at three forward speeds. The information can be used in the development of cultivation technology. A kapott eredményeket mérésekkel ellenőrizzük.

Sustainability and education for sustainability play a key role in today’s society. Teacher training and “being a teacher” are particularly important in educating and shaping the environmental awareness of the rising generations. Antecedents of our survey were that environmental and sustainability contents play a key role in our trainings, and we have monitored the results of similar research. In our research we aimed to learn about respondents’ knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours about sustainability in six target groups. The areas of the research were the UN 2015 Sustainable Development Goals that can be related to sustainable living. For our survey, we chose the method of written questioning, and the evaluation of the results was performed using descriptive statistical methods. Based on the results, we have developed stimulating, attitude-forming programs that can also be used in education. In the antecedent of our study, we focused on examining attitudes about sustainability. This publication deals with the analysis of knowledge and behavioural patterns related to sustainability in relation to the six target groups. Tanulmányunk előzményében a fenntarthatósággal kapcsolatos attitűdök vizsgálatára fókuszáltunk, jelen publikáció a fenntarthatósághoz fűződő ismeretek és viselkedésminták elemzésével foglalkozik a hat vizsgált célcsoport kapcsán

When it comes to environmental issues, especially those related to mining and industrial activities, high school students’ primary source of information is their geography lessons. However, as they are being more and more exposed to external influences in our modern world, they are also getting more prone to obtain information from other sources. The objective of this study is to ascertain to what extent they consider the environmental situation in Hungary important, how informed they are, and how they obtain information in relation to the environmental impact of mining and industrial activities affecting this country. 104 junior students – from both vocational and academic high schools – participated in the pilot survey in the academic year of 2019/2020. The results show that even though they regard the environmental situation of Hungary as an important question, they believe its current state is “just” tolerable. In addition, their primary source of information regarding mining and industrial activities is their teachers.Középiskolás diákok környezeti problémákkal, azon belül is a bányászati és az ipari tevékenységek környezeti hatásaival kapcsolatos ismerete elsősorban a földrajz órákról származhat. Mivel egyre több iskolán kívüli hatás éri a diákokat, ezért más információforrásokból is bővítik tudásukat, szereznek új ismeretelemeket.

Comparative analysis of agile and traditional methodologies in IT project management

It is known that initially, during software development, the traditional methodology was used for all IT projects and projects were often unsuccessful due to the rapid growth of the IT industry, and then agile methodologies began to be developed. Traditional methods have some advantages over agile methodologies, and mostly the most common traditional methodology is Waterfall. Given that it has limitations in handling problems, such as unstructured code, team morale, poor visibility, lack of communication between stakeholders and frequent prioritization of user requirements, it would not be bad to use agile methodologies, which focus on working with users, continuous testing, refactoring and incremental development. This paper deals with the comparison of methodologies in IT project management based on other scientific research. Some of the mentioned methodologies are Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, etc. It was concluded that the agile Scrum methodology is mostly used in IT companies, with the combination of several methodologies often appearing, due to the need for projects, in order to eliminate the shortcomings of each methodology

Linguisticism among practicing and prospective teachers of Hungarian in the four countries of the Carpathian Basin

There is a paucity of research on dialect awareness among teachers, particularly in Hungary. The aim of our research was to demonstrate the presence of, linguistic discrimination. The research involved more than 500 Hungarian Language and Literature teachers and teacher trainees from Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine. Data were collected primarily through a technique similar to matched-guise tests (MGT); however, the method of the present research had some additional complexity. The research clearly supported the assumption that linguistic discrimination was widespread in pedagogical evaluation. Student performances were rated differentially depending on content and language variety, with the performances using the standard (and/or elaborated code) being rated the most positively. Performances using a vernecular dialect (or restricted code) were always rated negatively, even when in terms of content the performance was free from shortcomings

The paper focuses on the perception of Covid-19 Distance Education in health care profession in Czechia from perspective of higher education teachers and students.  The study answers two research questions: 1) How satisfied were health profession students and teachers with their education during the COVID-19 pandemic? and 2) How did the perspectives on education in terms of methods differ between health professions teachers and students with education during the COVID-19 pandemic? The research used mixed methods research (quantitative survey and focus groups). There is a significant distance between students\u27 and teachers\u27 perceptions of online education and its forms. Teachers see online education less negatively (29%) than students (51,1%). One of the reasons, it was the lack of communication and support from HEIs. Teachers have didactic problems in managing their teaching, especially when they try to activate students. On the contrary students perceive themselves as active, but this does not entirely correspond to the view of their teachers. Students remain more conservative in their perception of online learning. However, student do not perceive any teaching method simple negatively. An exercise followed by simulation teaching and demonstration teaching and lecture are the best rate the form of teaching by students. Teachers rate demonstration and simulation teaching, discussions and exercises the best

One of the main goals of conservation biology is protection of biodiversity. Some important new tools to achieve this goal are science education and communication to the public, as well as communication of scientific research results for decision makers. Objectives of this study were (1) to investigate what are the main topics in science on communicating the concept of biodiversity, what are the best methods for communicating this concept and (2) to communicate the concept of biodiversity to local community. To obtain more accurate and systematic results, we were working with special settings and metadata of Google Scholar, Web of Science and Scopus. We have analysed the metadata of all the results and 30 highly cited articles, making citation networks using CitationGecko. The results of our analysis showed that we need metaphors, storytelling, strong emotions and framing techniques to reach the policy-makers and non-scientists. To strengthen the nature – people relationship we need local projects. We have started our local work in promoting the notion of biodiversity 2 years ago. Our innovative idea is to present and provide knowledge to local communities not only on diversity of species, but also an ecological diversity using interactive workshops. In this context we have developed a series of games in order to better know and understand our local and regional values
