While the healthcare ecosystem continues to change rapidly, with the digital world stepping into possession of the old and new antipodes of e-prescriptions, mHealth apps, and AI-assisted systems for clinical decision making; much promulgating is occurring in physicians\u27 medical prescribing decision-making process. This research paper looks into the factors governing gynaecologists\u27 prescription behavior in the digital age, i.e., usage of any digital tool and demographical parameters influencing clinical decision making. The research was quantitative, trimming subjects from 40 practitioners of gynaecology in Pune city, using a structured questionnaire. The sample was selected through stratified random sampling to maintain representation in terms of age, experience, and levels of digital awareness. Statistical analysis using SPSS was conducted with the first hypothesis subjected to regression analysis: Is there any relation between the use of tools in digital healthcare and prescriptions? The second hypothesis was: Do the more traditional people differ significantly in their mode of prescribing compared to the other class? The results gave a full confirmation to both hypotheses, with digital tools having a strong positive influence on the accurate and efficient prescriptions. Secondly, demographic factors like age, clinical experience, and digital literacy were significant in defining technology adoption and prescription patterns. Digital tools were found to be increasingly used by gynaecologists, but uptake was influenced by personal characteristics. It suggests that directed digital literacy education and infrastructure investment may further facilitate effective technology adoption into gynaecological care. These results provide practical suggestions to healthcare policy makers, hospital managers, and digital technology developers that aim at optimizing digital transformation in clinical environments

    Get PDF
Ayurveda is one of the ancient systems of traditional medicine that gained its reputation in the treatment of disease because it offered a comprehensive system of healthcare. The focus on Ayurvedic formulations has come back with a bang since it exhibits a therapeutic potential in the treatment of various chronic and lifestyle diseases. This review analyses both clinical and experimental studies on Ayurvedic formulations by studying their effectiveness in managing the disease alongside the pharmacological mechanism. The primary therapeutic applications considered in this review are metabolic disorders, along with neurological diseases, cardiovascular diseases, immunomodulation therapy, cancer treatment, and gastrointestinal health and dermatology treatment. The scientific review examines the pharmacologic effects of Ashwagandha, Curcumin, Giloy, Triphala, Arjuna, and Withaferin A, used to demonstrate their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, neuroprotective, and immunomodulatory properties. Experimental studies revealed the medicinal processes that support the medical findings in the management of diabetes, together with the treatment of neurodegenerative, cardiovascular disorders, and infectious diseases. Meanwhile, clinical trials recorded successful results in these cases. The use of Ayurvedic therapies in modern medicine has been facing adoption barriers due to issues related to implementation standards, regulatory limitations, and the need to conduct extensive clinical research. Future research must integrate Ayurvedic practices with advanced medical technologies to improve their acceptance and naturally align them with evidence-based healthcare. The review demonstrates the necessity for interdisciplinary research to establish a connection between ancient knowledge and contemporary scientific evidence to validate Ayurveda as a valuable complementary medical practice

    Get PDF
This study examined the effectiveness of integrating structured resistance training into the regular physical education curriculum to enhance athletic fitness components in school basketball players. A total of 96 high school basketball players (aged 15-18 years) from eight schools were randomly assigned to four groups (n=24 per group): Group I received integrated resistance training within PE classes plus regular basketball training, Group II participated in traditional PE curriculum with basketball training, Group III engaged in after-school resistance training with regular PE and basketball, and Group IV served as the control group with standard PE and basketball training only. The intervention lasted 20 weeks during the academic year, with PE-integrated resistance training occurring three times weekly during regular class periods. Pre- and post-intervention assessments measured key athletic fitness components including muscular strength (1RM bench press, squat), power (vertical jump, medicine ball throw), speed (20m sprint), agility (T-test), and basketball-specific skills (shooting accuracy, defensive sliding). Results demonstrated that the PE-integrated resistance training group (Group I) achieved significant improvements across all fitness parameters, with gains comparable to or exceeding the dedicated after-school training group. Vertical jump height increased by 18.7%, squat strength improved by 31.4%, and basketball shooting accuracy enhanced by 22.3% in the integrated training group. These findings indicate that incorporating resistance training into PE curriculum represents a practical and effective strategy for improving athletic fitness in school basketball players while maximizing educational resources and ensuring equitable access to strength training benefits

    Get PDF
Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) is a rapidly spreading vector-borne disease that poses significant global health risks due to its recurrent outbreaks, long-lasting arthralgia, and diagnostic overlap with other arboviruses such as dengue and Zika. Effective monitoring and decision-making systems are crucial to improve outbreak prediction, optimize resource allocation, and enhance public health responses. This study explores a wide range of decision-making techniques and time-series models, mechanistic and Bayesian frameworks, machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), geospatial and spatiotemporal models, and IoT/edge-enabled decision support. We compare their interpretability, data requirements, real-time suitability, and adaptability to low-resource settings. In addition, we emphasize challenges such as data scarcity, non-stationary dynamics due to climate variability, and the need for explainable and equitable AI-driven systems. By synthesizing state-of-the-art methods and emerging digital health technologies, this paper provides actionable insights for researchers, healthcare practitioners, and policymakers in building robust, scalable, and context-aware monitoring frameworks for Chikungunya disease

    Get PDF
Medo Roga (Sthaulya) is a metabolic disorder described in Ayurveda as excessive accumulation of Meda Dhatu resulting from Kapha aggravation and Agni Mandya. It is closely correlated with obesity, a major global health issue associated with lifestyle, dietary excess, and metabolic imbalance. Navaka Guggulu, a classical Lekhana and Medohara formulation, is mentioned for managing disorders caused by Meda Dhatu Vriddhi. Aim: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Navaka Guggulu in the management of Medo Roga (obesity). Materials and Methods: An open clinical study was conducted on 23 patients diagnosed with Medo Roga. Patients were administered Navaka Guggulu 4 g/day in divided doses with lukewarm water for 60 days. Shunthi Churna and Triphala Churna were given initially for Ama Pachana and Koshtha Shuddhi. Assessment was based on subjective parameters (Kshudha Atimatrata, Swedabadhata, Daurbalya, etc.) and objective parameters (Body Weight, BMI, WHR, SFT, and lipid profile). Follow-ups were done every 15 days. Results: Significant reductions were observed in body weight (↓3.81 kg), BMI (↓5.4%), serum cholesterol (↓14.2%), triglycerides (↓21.8%), LDL (↓16.8%), and VLDL (↓24.1%), along with an increase in HDL (↑19.2%). Clinically, 53.3% of patients showed marked improvement, 40% moderate improvement, and 6.6% mild improvement. No adverse reactions were reported. Conclusion: Navaka Guggulu demonstrated significant efficacy in reducing body weight and correcting lipid metabolism. Its Kapha-Medohara, Lekhana, and Srotoshodhaka actions contribute to its beneficial role in obesity management. The formulation is safe, effective, and can be integrated with dietary and lifestyle modifications for sustainable outcomes

Redefining Youth Political Participation in the Digital Age of Democracy.

    Get PDF
The digital world has radically changed the environment of democratic participation especially among the youth. Digital activism, online activism and social media mobilizations are complementing, and in some cases substituting the natural forms of political active participation such as voting, party membership and street demonstrations. The paper examines applications of digital platforms in transforming youth political engagement where young citizens are able to voice their opinion, form movements and control policies without the traditional institutional restrictions. The emergence of social media platforms like Twitter (X), Instagram and YouTube platforms have contributed to the new kinds of participatory democracy in which information sharing, discussion and mobilization are in real-time. Although these platforms provide a platform that gives youth a voice and democratizes access to political discourse, these platforms also have problems like misinformation, digital divides and superficial participation or clicktivism. Based on this, the paper considers how the youths use the electronic spaces to bargain the identity, influence and civic duty by using global and Indian examples to develop the concepts of identity, power and civic duty. In the paper, it is argued that digital participation does not simply complement traditional democracy but instead, it reconfigures the ethos of traditional democracy by decentralising power and transnational activism around issues. The rebranding of youth political engagement in the digital era, finally, is an indication of a paradigm shift to a more participatory, networked and inclusive version of democracy which requires reformulation of conceptualization of engagement, citizenship, and governance in the 21 st century
