Technology Induced Learning During Covid-19: A Review
No full textOver the past two and a half years, the whole world is facing COVID-19. The majority of countries are affected by this. Even the Education field is a sufferer. Online Teaching is a new way of teaching which play a crucial role during this Pandemic Time. Students can study even from distance and in separation from other companions due to lockdown or isolation periods. This Paper is an attempt to review literature from different sources to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on Education at different levels. There has been a lot of research in this area in a short time, although it is still too early to conclude. Research articles and reports from relevant sources are analyzed, and key findings are summarized by using commonly used management tools. It can also open up discussion about the future of a technology-oriented education system, made possible by advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, simulation, etc. It can also use as a study to compare data during pre and post-COVID-19.
 
Retrograde Intra-Renal Surgery: A Prospective Observational Study At A Tertiary Care Hospital In Kashmir Valley- Our Initial Experience
No full textBackground: Urinary calculi is a common affliction of the urinary tract, removal of which is one of the most important clinical aspect of a urologist. A variety of procedures like shockwave lithotripsy (SWL), flexible ureterorenoscopy (FURS) and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) have been employed for removal of stones. A new procedure in this list is Retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS).
Aims: To describe our experience and outcome of RIRS for the treatment of Urolithiasis and to assess its effectiveness and safety in terms of Stone Free Rate/ Operation Time/ Hospital Stay/ Post-Operative blood Transfusion/ Sepsis/ Need For Second Session of RIRS/Auxiliary Procedures.
Methods: Prospective observational study of 23 months duration (March 2021 to January 2023) which included patients presenting with single stones ≤ 2 cm or multiple stones with conglomerate diameter ≤2 cm or unsuccessful ESWL for stones ≤ 2cm or residual stone after PCNL ≤ 2cm or based on patient preference. Patients who were pregnant, with active urinary tract infection or uncorrected coagulopathy were excluded from the study. Pre-operative stenting was done using 5F/26cm DJ stent within 2 weeks of the date of procedure Standard surgical procedure of RIRS/ FURSL was done. Follow up was done after 1 week and 4 weeks. After 4 weeks NCCT KUB was done. If stone was cleared, DJ stent was removed. Demographic parameters, Side/ number/ size/ location/ anatomy/ HU characteristics of stones were noted. Indication of RIRS, pre-op stenting duration, ease of access were noted. Main outcome was stone clearance. Other parameters noted were sepsis, bleeding, duration of hospital stay, findings on follow Up NCCT for residual stones, management of residual stone and post-operative stent duration were all noted. Results:Majority Of the patients had no comorbidities (59%) among the study population. Stones were more right sided than left side (59.8% vs 40.2%), single (72%) and had an average stone size of 14.86+6.2 mm, with 52.6% belonging to 15-20 mm group and 42.1% belonging to 10-15mm group. Common location of the stones were pelvis (26.3%), upper ureter (21%), lower calyx (19.7%) followed by other locations. Majority of the patients had normal anatomy (63.15%). Bifid PCS was noted in 2.63%, blocked infundibulum noted in 3.94% and narrow infundibulum noted in 3.28%. RIRS was done as a primary procedure in majority of the cases (81%). There was difficulty encountered in access sheath placement in 3% of the patients. The average time taken for operative procedure was 78.51±27.2 minutes. Complete stone clearance was obtained in 93% of the patients. (141/152).
Conclusion: RIRS is applicable to wide range of location of stones and characteristics of stones. Only minor complications like mild-grade sepsis and haemorrhage are expected in a small group of patients. Patients undergoing RIRS require only minimal hospital stay (2-3 days). RIRS appears to be an excellent modality for treatment of renal stones

Cytotoxic effect of nutmeg oleoresins assisted zinc oxide nanoparticles using breast cancer cell line
Get PDFCancer is a leading cause of death globally. Though there are different treatments available for cancer, the side effects associated are sometimes worse than the disease itself. Hence there is a constant search for new drug candidates to treat the condition and reduce the side effects. Many plant mediated nanoparticles are studied extensively and proved for their anticancer activity.Nutmeg is known for its diuretic, an antidepressant and memory-enhancing properties. It also exhibits great anti-oxidative capacity due to its polyphenolic compounds which may be used for many other uses of this plant. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the cytotoxic activity of nutmeg oleoresin mediated Zinc oxide nanoparticles against breast cancer cell lines. In the present study, nutmeg oleoresin mediated ZnO nanoparticles were prepared initially and confirmed by measuring the absorbance between 350 nm to 700 nm using UV- Visible spectroscopy . It was further evaluated for its anticancer activity on breast cancer cell line . The Cells were treated with different concentrations (10, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 μg/ml) for 24hrs. The zinc nanoparticles prepared from nutmeg oleoresin showed good cytotoxic activity. The percentage viability was reduced with increase in concentration of nutmeg oleoresin mediated ZnO nanoparticle.The 50% of inhibition was observed at a concentration of 40 μg/ml and was considered as the IC50 value . The present study concluded the dose dependent nutmeg oleoresin mediated zinc oxide nanoparticles on breast cancer cell line. Hence, nutmeg oleoresin mediated zinc nanoparticles may be recommended for its use as an anticancer drug after further invivo studies

The English syllabus\u27s content is, in some respects, rather dense. It incorporates all aspects and capacities of language. However, the teaching-learning process continues to provide disappointing results. When we analyze the teaching-learning process in public schools, we can be certain that a variety of circumstances contributed to the poor conclusion. To begin, language training is separate from other subject-matter teachings. Language training is not only about transferring knowledge. It is more about conveying information than anything else. It takes time and effort to train someone to become skilled in using language abilities. Purpose: There is a deficiency in the research about the evaluation of these Human Capital Management aspects and their implementation outcomes. This research aims to determine or investigate the effects of applying these Human Capital management principles. The major goal of this research was to compare Human Capital Management practises across public and private banks in Vijayawada.
Design/Methodology/Approach: Both primary and secondary sources were used to compile this report. Books, journals, magazines, websites, bank instructions, files, and records were mined for secondary data. The core data for this research was gathered using a carefully designed and pilot-tested questionnaire in order to elicit respondents\u27 thoughtful responses. In order to collect data from both public and private sector bank personnel, a Purposive Sampling strategy was used.
Findings: The private sector banks employees possess Entrepreneurial Spirit, intellectual
qualities and also better training in job encourages them to enlighten their Communication Capabilities in their work place. Human Capital Management techniques in both public and private sector banks lead to promising organisational success in terms of employee efficiency, bank efficiency, and overall productivity.
Practical Implications: The practice of HCM in public sector banks helps the higher officials to recognize efficient employees and their true value and in private sector banks the practice of HCM develops entrepreneurial spirit and provides efficient training opportunities to the employees. If policymakers don\u27t pay attention, regulatory hurdles and agency issues might prohibit banks from diversifying their revenue as much as they should. Human capital was shown to have a modest influence on bank performance, prompting the study\u27s authors to recommend that both governments and banks increase their spending in this area.
Conclusion: The HCM strategy analyses core HR issues with an eye on bolstering HR\u27s effectiveness and charting new territory. Stakeholders are communicated with via Human Capital Management\u27s performance measurement and reporting in relation to established objectives (workers, shareholders, and consumers) about the importance of Human Capital Management in attaining sustainability and demonstrating banking responsibility

Building a Psychological Scale of Adaptation Skills for Mosul University Students

The sample of the research consisted of (400) male and female students from the scientific and humanities departments at Mosul University. The researcher prepared (48) items preliminarily and the apparent validity was used. One item was deleted and the total number of the items became (47) items and then the apparent validity, construction validity, auto validity and the logical validity were determined. Also, the discrimination and the relationship of the item with the total score were calculated. In addition to that, invariability was calculated using the retesting and Alpha-Cronbach methods. As for the reliability , it was done in a retesting method, and the internal consistency method, and the appropriate statistical methods were used, represented by the T-tests for one samples, and they T-test, for two independents samples, and “the Pearson correlation” equation, and after analyzing the data statistically, they results, showed the following:

Get PDFIn concern with the emerging issue in problematic use of internet among adolescents, there is an urgent need to develop and validate a tool to measure the occupational performance and psychosocial variables 1) To develop psychosocial and occupational performance assessment for adolescent’s internet users in India.2) To establish strong psychometric properties for the developed psychosocial and occupational performance assessment for adolescent’s internet users in India. There are three main phases, each of which describes and explains population, sample, sampling technique, setting area, instrument, data collection, and data analysis. Phase I: Concept formation and development of the test – the background analysis is carried out though review of literature and operation definition for construct of the test is framed. Then the test items are generated through focus group discussion and through conduction of semi structured interview from subject matter experts. Phase II: Pilot study to validate the developed tool\u27s content through 1,000 adolescents for preliminary samples analysis. The collected data is analyzed though SPSS IBM 24. There is item reduction and factor analysis. Phase III: Test-retest reliability, internal consistency reliability, concurrent validity, and construct validity are established. The study expects the developed tool will be helpful in screening and to assessing the severity level of internet addiction among adolescents. It will lead to development of intervention module for dealing with PIU in adolescents. Conclusion and recommendations, the anticipated conclusion of the study will be a pioneer of develop new tool in the field of occupational therapy professionals.
