Exploring Socio-Demographic Determinants Of Completed Fertility Among Elderly Women In Manipur, India
Manipur, positioned in the easternmost border of India, presents a diverse landscape of demographic transition stages and notably high fertility rates. Despite the outlined objectives within the National Population Policy (NPP)-2000 to achieve stable population growth through 12 strategic themes, there remains a notable absence of community-based studies elucidating the determinants of completed fertility in Manipur. This study aims to assess the socio-demographic factors contributing to variations in completed fertility among elderly married women aged 50-55 years in Manipur. Utilizing a retrospective cross-sectional design, data were collected from 1263 ever-married women who had experienced menopause, residing in the valley districts through a cluster sampling scheme. The survey, conducted between March 2022 and January 2023, with the 1st March 2022 as reference date for the survey, employed multiple binary logistic regression models to analyse community-based empirical data. The findings reveal a significant association between completed fertility (3.2) and factors such as education (P<0.01), sex of the second child (P<0.01), and the couple\u27s preference for a son (P<0.01) within the population. These identified determinants provide foundational insights for future research endeavours focused on maternal health development and aligning with India\u27s national objectives for population control
Navigating The Work-Life Equation: Insights From IT Professionals In Kerala\u27s Infopark
This study is based on the Work-Life Balance of employees working in the IT industry. 200 employees working in different IT companies in Infopark, Kochi, have been selected as samples. The study assessed the level of Work-Life Balance and identified the relationship that Work-Life Balance possesses with factors like flexibility, Quality Time, Leave facilities, workload, and Turnaround intention. The study found that IT employees possess a moderate work-life balance. Even though the workload is moderate to high and facilities are not up to expectations, employees generally do not have a high turnaround intention. It is analysed that the employees have accepted the IT industry\u27s work culture well, comprising a high workload and fewer leave facilities. It is identified that if the employees are given the factors contributing to good Work-Life Balance like flexibility, Quality Time, Leave facilities, and moderate Workload, the employees will have a good level of Work-Life Balance, and thus, the turnaround intention will be less.

Determining the Factors Influencing Waiting Time to Conception of Women in Manipur, India
This study aims to investigate the factors influencing the waiting time to conception among Manipuri women living in the valley region of Manipur, focusing on the interplay between socio-economic, demographic, and behavioural characteristics. A sample of 979 women, each with a minimum of two pregnancies, was selected using cluster sampling across four districts of Manipur. Besides classical statistical methods Cox\u27s proportional hazard model was employed to assess the data. The results highlight significant factors such as the wife\u27s age at marriage, previous child\u27s death, sex of the previous child, contraceptive usage, and religion (Hindu and Islamic) as impacting conception waiting time. Additionally, lactation, desire for a certain number of sons, and religion (Hindu) emerged as significant predictors. These findings provide insights into the complex factors that shape the waiting time to conception among Manipuri women, informing strategies for improved reproductive health services

Some Generalized Results On Common Fixed Point In Vector Valued Rectangular Metric Spaces
The concept of rectangular metric space was initially introduced by Branciari [6] in 2000. This paper aims to demonstrate various common fixed point results for vector valued rectangular metric spaces. Our findings extend and certain established results in the scalar valued case. We also give some examples to illustrate our work
Reconstructing Home In Ethno-Religious Conflict Of Diaspora: A Study Of Nadeem Aslam’s Maps For Lost Lovers
Migration leaves certain consequences, like the coalition between the homeland tradition and the social structure of the hostland where migrants try to maintain their homely associations in the newly settled place, which is dynamic with time and generations. The formation of diaspora community, thus, in some point shows the adaptability of the migrants in the new land. Even journeying to some other place provides a space to the individual where one can have a choice of the way of living which is somewhat indiscernible in a religiously rigid society. Religion in this process becomes an intricate part of the migrants especially for people of South-Asian Muslim descent. As religious beliefs and practices form an essential link between migrant and his place of origin and acts as the backbone of the community, integration is often perceived as a process of conversion or to negotiate with one’s own cultural values. The present study tries to explore the conflict of religious belief system and the concept of home for migrants with reference to the novel written by Nadeem Aslam, Maps for Lost Lovers. Aslam’s novel dramatizes ethno-religious conflict of Pakistani migrant community living in England. The tight knot of the community creates a boundary between the host and home culture where each and every extraneous element is either equated to strangeness or the alien. Even home signifies a different concept for each individual in the text. While some characters presented in this novel are very conscious about their home, culture and religious practices, some are trying to cross the religious orthodox belief syste
Veiled Realities: Unraveling The Everyday In Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale
‘Everyday’ refers to the routine and commonplace aspects of daily life, encompassing the ordinary moments, activities, and interactions that collectively shape our existence. It represents the fabric of our routine, where the familiar and mundane intertwine to form the backdrop against which we navigate the complexities of the human experience. In The Handmaid\u27s Tale, everyday takes on a chilling significance within the confines of Gilead\u27s dystopian regime. The ordinary becomes a battleground for the characters, as rituals and interactions, once mundane, transform into acts of resistance, highlighting the profound impact of the everyday in shaping identity and resilience within a repressive society. our exploration unfolds within the constraints of Gilead, a society where individual autonomy is sacrificed on the altar of authoritarian rule. Against the backdrop of the characters’ daily struggles for survival, this research paper meticulously examines the ordinary moments that become acts of resistance. From the constrained rituals of the Handmaids to the subtle rebellions woven into the fabric of their existence, this study unravels the layers of the everyday, revealing its transformative power in the face of oppression. The analysis encompasses the characters’ rituals, relationships, and moments of defiance, contributing to a nuanced understanding of the ordinary’s resilience in oppressive environments. As we unravel the complexities of the ordinary in Gilead, this study emphasizes the enduring relevance of the everyday in shaping our understanding of autonomy, resistance, and the indomitable human spirit. “Veiled Realities” seeks to bridge the gap between fiction and reality, prompting reflection on the parallels between the novel’s dystopian landscape and the universal quest for individual agency and freedom
