Toys + Dentistry= Winning Smiles- Combining The Magic Of Play With The Importance Of Oral Health For A Lifetime Of Happy Grins
Background: Kids deal with many of the same feelings adults do. They get frustrated, excited, nervous, sad, jealous, frightened, worried, angry and embarrassed. However young kids usually don\u27t have the vocabulary to talk about how they are feeling. Instead they communicate their feelings in other ways. Understanding the emotion of an immature child is highly useful to study and select the most appropriate behaviour management strategy during a dental appointment. Dental anxiety may present as fear or worry, but can also make children irritable and angry. One of the main reasons for cancelled dental appointments or lack of interest in dental treatment is avoidance behaviour in a child which in turn generates tooth decay, decreased self-esteem, and poor quality of life.
Aims and Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the anxiety levels of pediatric patients visiting the dental OP at a dental college and hospital, Kavalkinaru. This study unveils the novel technique wherein fidget toys were used in the form of CHRIS’S Toys Assisted Therapy to reduce the anxiety in pediatric dental patients.
Results: Results showed that intervention with toys through the CHRIS’S Toys Assisted Therapy significantly reduced the anxiety levels in children.
Conclusion: Thus, CHRIS’S Toys Assisted Therapy is shown to be a promising method of anxiety control, a key to a successful pediatric dental practice
Migration Between Achieving Material Goals And Social Failure: A Sociodemographic Study On Migrants From Algeria To The West
Migration is one of the factors that affect population movement, producing effects on both the population-expelling and receiving countries. For societies, this is a matter of consideration, whereas for individuals, migration often involves personal goals they aim to achieve, unless forced, as in cases of war, for example.
This paper highlights the experiences of individuals migrating in pursuit of their aspirations versus the negative realities they encountered, which were not anticipated until faced in reality. This is through the testimonies of two individuals who have been living abroad for years, with whom several interviews were conducted.
The study found that despite the material gains migrants achieve, they suffer from difficulties in social and cultural integration in their host societies

An Investigation Into The Utilisation Of Biodiesel Fuel For The Purpose Of Assessing Roadworthiness: A Study Conducted In Hong Kong
Because of the upcoming adoption of new emission rules, the automotive industry is working diligently to develop new engine management systems and pollution control technologies. This is because of the fact that the restrictions are about to be implemented. In the year 1992, this idea was conceived with the European Regulation for Heavy-Duty Diesel Vehicle Emissions Limits serving as the main source of inspiration. It is Euro-I. The Euro-II standard was first established in the year 1996, while the Euro-III standard was put into effect in the year 1999. As new energy sources and technologies become available, it is anticipated that more stringent requirements were imposed in the years 2005 (Euro-IV) and 2008. (The Euro-V). Overly high levels of emissions from autos are often the result of improper vehicle maintenance upkeep. When it comes to detecting high emitters within a fleet of vehicles that are presently in operation, inspection, and maintenance (I&M) programmes are the most reliable way. In addition, civic and vocational education are necessary for the promotion of safe driving practices and the increase of employment rates in the field of "automobile maintenance and repair." shop for Over in Japan and the United States, "Diesel vehicles, regardless of whether they are new or old, are subject to comparable restrictions in the majority of states in the United States; however, testing procedures vary." An emission and noise standard has been set by the Hong Kong Police Department (HKEPD) for all cars operating in the city. The yearly inspection and testing of emissions is also a component of "Projects in Instruction and Management," which is a project that aims to prevent the spread of smoke. Emissions from automobiles, trucks, and buses that are presently on the road are monitored and assessed based on fleets
Influence On The Environment In The Lima Megalopolis, Of The Mining Tailings Located In The Middle And Headboard Basins, Of The Chillón, Rímac And Lurin Rivers. Left By The Exploitation Of Metallic Mineral Resources.
We think that the liabilities or mining tailings, which now remain apparently static and inactive on the surface of their base accumulated for years, are active on their surface exposed to weathering, the passage of time and the various external geodynamic processes produced by climatic stations such as the rainy summer, which erodes and transports its particles to the water flows of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, the mineral tailings are the result of the treatment by grinding rocks in concentration plants, they contain, in addition to metallic metals, reagents harmful to the health of the people who live in Lima, such as sodium cyanide, copper sulfate, pine oil, Aeroflot, arsenic, sulfur and iron, these solid wastes, also exposed to the weathering process and pluvial and wind events, are what raise or eroded to be transported to river plains, slopes, peaks or river and marine deposition basins where they are decant, contaminating their various soil horizons with toxic substances and negatively impacting the local and regional environments, which form the ecological spaces where man lives.
It is evident that when man arrived in Peruvian territory it was 5000 thousand years ago, they first used obsidian to make their tools, followed by pre-Inca cultures or civilizations located in various environments or sectors of the erogenous, events that occurred before it began. The Inca Empire the following human cultures are cited:
Chinchorro, Churajon, mayo-Chinchipe, Marañón, Caral, Sechín, Valdivia, Chavín, Cupisnique, Lima, Chancay, Paracas, Wari among others
Perfectionism And The Imposter Phenomenon Among Postgraduate Students In India
Perfectionism is defined as “high standards of performance which are accompanied by tendencies for overly critical evaluations of one’s behaviour” (Frost et. al., 1990). Perfectionism is the tendency to strive for perfectionism and can be adaptive or maladaptive. Imposter phenomenon on the other hand, is a term that was coined by Dr. Pauline Clance and can be described as a feeling or psychological experience of having the belief or assumption that the individual is not accomplished due to his own ability but due to certain external forces not related to one’s genuine ability such as luck or manipulation. The aim of this study was to study the relationship between perfectionism and the imposter phenomenon and between the various dimensions of perfectionism and the imposter phenomenon among Indian postgraduate students. The study consisted of a sample of 189 students and the scales used in the study were the Hewitt & Flett Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (Hewitt & Flett, 1991) and the Clance Imposter Phenomenon Scale (Clance, 1985). The results indicated that there was a significant positive relationship between perfectionism and the imposter phenomenon. The results of the study also indicated that socially prescribed perfectionism had the strongest correlation with imposter phenomenon
Investigation Of The Effectiveness Of The Carpini Scale In Patients,Those Subjected To Endovascular Intervention
Venous thromboembolic complications are one of the leading problems in surgical practice. Prevention of venous thromboembolic complications is an important point of administration for patients in the postoperative period. In most cases, the risk assessment of surgical patients is carried out on the Carpini scale. It is a common scale for risk stratification of all surgical patients, which takes into account both the general condition of the patient at the time of surgery, as well as the type of surgery, its duration and traumatism. The aim of the study was to study the effectiveness of the Carpini scale in patients undergoing endovascular intervention. 115 patients participated in the study. The frequency of venous thromboembolic complications in neurosurgical patients with anesthesia lasting more than 2.5 hours is 6.6±3.1% (4 out of 62 cases). The incidence of venous thromboembolic complications in patients undergoing endovascular intervention with anesthesia lasting less than 1.5 hours is 1.9±2.1% (1 out of 53 cases). The use of the Caprini scale to stratify the risk of venous thromboembolic complications in endovascular interventions can be considered rational
A Quasi experimental study to compare the effects of cool gel packs versus analgesics on post-episiotomy pain reduction in selected hospital Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India
ABSTRACT
Introduction-Pain after episiotomy has reported as the common cause of maternal morbidities in postnatal period. Studies have shown that cold therapy is effective in reducing post episiotomy pain.So the study aimed to compare the effect of cool gel packs versus analgesics on post episiotomy pain reduction in order to improve nursing care practices and to provide maximum comfort to postpartum women.
Method-The research design was quasi experimental and was conducted from Dec. 2023 in obstetrics department of Indra Ghandi medical collage & Hospital Kamala Nehru State Hospital Mother &Child Shimla on 60 subjects (30 for experimental and 30 for control group) of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Intervention in experimental group was application of cool gel packs and in control group was administration of analgesic (as per hospital routine). The socio- Demographic sheet which was structured interview schedule was filled by investigator. Level of pain of postpartum women after normal delivery with episiotomy is assessed by using subjective and objective tool. Pre-intervention and post-intervention assessment (at 0, 30 and 60 min) was done for both the groups.
Results -The results of the study revealed that most of study subjects experienced mild to moderate level of post-episiotomy pain. Cool gel packs help in reduction of post-episiotomy pain in experimental group at 0, 30 and 60 min. With NRS, Cool gel packs were more effective in reducing post-episiotomy pain at 0 min and 30 min of time in experimental group as compared to analgesics in control group but at 60 min of time both analgesics and cool gel packs were equally effective. With BPS, Cool gel packs were more effective in reducing post-episiotomy pain at 0 min, 30 min and at 60 min. No association of post-episiotomy pain with age, parity, duration of 2nd stage of labour, sex of the child was found in the study.
Conclusion- Hence it can be concluded that Cool gel packs are more effective in reducing post episiotomy pain in comparison to analgesics up to 30 min
