Storage Of Latent Heat And Thermal Energy For Controlling The Indoor Comfort Level: A Study To Identify Techno-Economic Feasibility
One of the most important historical events was the introduction of Homo sapiens in the last four seconds of the day before. It was during the Industrial that fossil fuels were first discovered two centuries ago and were extracted in large Revolution quantities. Global temperatures are expected to rise by 2 to 6 degrees Celsius by 2100 due to the excessive use of fossil fuels, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). As a result, the need for energy-efficient procedures is rising. This study looks at load shifting and peak shaving applications of energy storage technology to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, boost the use of renewable energy sources, and enhance system energy efficiency without sacrificing quality of life. Latent heat (LH) is the primary thermal energy storage medium in a high level of thermal energy storage (TES) technologies powered by phase transition materials. However, applying LHTES in the constructed environment presents challenges, such as inadequate knowledge of system dynamics, unpredictable component design, and unrecorded material properties. To tackle these problems, the research develops precise numerical models of the LHTES element that include shaped-stabilized and free-flowing PCMs. These models are verified by experiments, and promising results were obtained from a study on the possibility of using multistage multi-PCM to enhance thermal power efficiency. The study also concentrated on transient TES integrated systems with the goal of lowering the marginal energy coming from fossil fuels and other sources to provide a cleaner environment
Feminist Critique And Psychodynamic Concepts With Special Reference To Elaine Showalter’s ‘Towards A Feminist Poetics’: A Preview
Elaine Showalter is a popular American feminist, social activist and literary critic, who is one of the founders of feminist literary criticism in United States Academia. She splits feminist criticism mainly into two categories- ‘Woman as reader’ and ‘Woman as writer’. She advocates that in woman as reader — woman is treated as the consumer of male-produced literature. This is with the way in which the hypothesis of a female reader changes our apprehension of a given text, awakening us to the significance of its sexual codes. This kind of analysis may be called as the feminist critique. Like other kinds of critique, it is a historically grounded inquiry to probe the ideological assumptions of literary phenomena. Its subjects include the images and stereotypes of women in literature, the omissions and misconceptions about women in criticism, and the fissures in male-constructed literary history.
According to Showalter, the second type of feminist criticism is concerned with woman as writer to consider woman as the producer of textual meaning, with the history, themes, genres and structures of literature by women. An attempt is made in this paper to include the subjects of psychodynamics of female creativity; linguistics and the problem of a female language; the trajectory of the individual or collective female literary career; literary history and the studies of particular writers and their works. So to say, no term exists in English for such a specialized discourse. Effect of marma therapy on Musculoskeletal health and Psychological wellbeing of computer operators
The prevalence of musculoskeletal and psychological conditions among computer operators is a significant concern, as these professionals are often exposed to prolonged periods of sedentary work and repetitive tasks, which can lead to various health issues. Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are notably prevalent among computer operators. Research indicates that these individuals frequently experience discomfort and pain in the neck, shoulders, and upper limbs due to prolonged computer use and poor ergonomic practices like a study highlights that computer operators often report neck and shoulder pain, which is attributed to sustained static postures and repetitive movements.1–4 Specific studies report neck pain (51-64%), shoulder pain (30-41%), and lower back pain (42%) as common issues. 3–6
Studies reported that there are Psychosocial Factors and Job Strains like High job strain and negative working atmosphere are significant risk factors for developing musculoskeletal symptoms, especially in the neck and shoulders. Researches are also of opinion that Stress and psychosocial factors, such as job demands, lack of job control, and emotional exhaustion, are also linked to higher incidences of MSDs.5–8
Malińska\u27s study points out that computer operators are at an increased risk of developing stress-related conditions due to the high cognitive demands and lack of physical activity associated with their work. 3 Mental disorders, including stress and anguish, are reported among computer operators, though at lower rates compared to musculoskeletal issues. 2,7Psychological stress is often intertwined with physical symptoms, exacerbating the overall health burden7–9.
Anareh and ZohoorAlinia further elaborate on the psychological strain experienced by these workers, noting that prolonged exposure to computer screens and the pressure to meet deadlines can exacerbate feelings of anxiety and depression 10. Moreover, the interplay between musculoskeletal and psychological conditions is significant. For example, Serbia Jelena\u27s research suggests that the physical discomfort from MSDs can lead to increased stress levels, creating a vicious cycle that affects overall well-being [5]. This is supported by findings from Rana et al., who report that the presence of musculoskeletal pain can negatively impact mental health, leading to decreased job satisfaction and productivity.11 Additionally, Bugajska et al. point out that individual factors such as age, gender, and pre-existing health conditions can influence the prevalence and severity of these disorders, suggesting the need for personalized interventions12
Traditional medical treatments, including pharmacological and surgical interventions, are often recommended for managing MSDs. However, these approaches can have limitations, such as side effects and incomplete pain relief 13,14. Due to this complementary therapies are often explored which offer a non-invasive alternative that can enhance symptom management and potentially prevent the need for surgery.13 These therapies include a range of interventions such as myofascial trigger release, icing, infrared therapy, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, stretch release, aqua therapy, taping, acupuncture, Marma therapy , yoga, naturopathay, etc. which have shown significant pain reduction and improved functionality in patients and potentially preventing or postponing surgeries for musculoskeletal complaints13–15 Moreover, Naturopathy and yoga, focusing on lifestyle correction, therapeutic fasting, diet modifications, hydrotherapy, mud therapy, massage, and exercise therapy, have been effective in managing various musculoskeletal conditions, including rotator cuff tendonitis and knee osteoarthritis, by improving pain, functional status, and quality of life. 16
Marma therapy, an ancient Ayurvedic practice, involves stimulating specific anatomical points known as Marmas, which are considered vital for the flow of life energy (Prana) in the body. These points are intersections of muscles, veins, ligaments, bones, and joints, and their stimulation is believed to have therapeutic effects on both psychological and musculoskeletal conditions 17,18. In terms of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly osteoarthritis of the knee (Janu Sandhigata Vata), Marma therapy has shown promising results. Studies have demonstrated that integrating Marma therapy with other Ayurvedic treatments like Janu Basti (a localized oil treatment) can significantly alleviate symptoms such as pain (Shoola), swelling (Shotha), stiffness (Stabdhata), and crepitus (Atopa)19–21. These studies involved applying Marma therapy to specific points on the legs, which resulted in improved subjective and objective measures, including the WOMAC Index, range of motion, and walking time. The therapy not only provided short-term relief but also facilitated long-term self-management of symptoms, as evidenced by follow-up studies where patients continued to experience benefits from self-administered Marma therapy and massage.21 Psychologically, Marma therapy is suggested to have benefits due to its holistic approach, which aligns with the principles of Ayurveda that emphasize the balance of body, mind, and spirit. Although specific studies on the psychological effects of Marma therapy are limited, the general therapeutic benefits of Marma stimulation in alleviating pain and improving physical function can indirectly enhance mental well-being by reducing stress and improving quality of life.18 The ancient texts and recent studies suggest that Marma therapy can be effective in treating various physical and mental disorders, although more focused research is needed to substantiate these claims specifically for psychological conditions 17. Bioethanol Production From Shorea Robusta Seeds By Using Chemical Pretreatment
The study explores the impact of acid treatment on bioethanol production by pre-treating S. robusta with varying concentrations of hydrochloric acid (HCI) and sulphuric acid. The solubilization of hemicellulose increases porosity and digestibility with maximum enzymatic hydrolysis. The maximum bioethanol production was observed to be 9.7±0.0% (v/v) with 1.5% concentration of HCI pretreated sample.Alkali-based pretreatment effectively delignifies lignocellulose by disrupting ester bonds between lignin and xylan, resulting in cellulose and hemicellulose fractions. This process increases surface area, allowing water molecules to penetrate inner layers. The study used S. robusta pretreated with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and calcium hydroxide (CaOH)2, and the maximum bioethanol production was 8.7±0.2% with 2% NaOH pretreated sample

Yogic Intervention and its effect on Health-Related Physical Fitness
Abstract: The objective of the study was to investigate the effects of yogic training on selected physiological and health-related fitness variables of taekwondo players. Specifically, the study was aimed to assess the impact of yogic training on resting pulse rate, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in taekwondo players and to evaluate the influence of yogic training on flexibility and cardiorespiratory endurance in taekwondo players, utilizing standardized test (sit-and-reach flexibility measurements, Cooper 12 min run walk test for endurance).
Methodology: For the purpose of this study 40 (20 Experimental and 20 Control Group) taekwondo female players age ranging from 14 to 17 years were selected from Taekwondo Academy, Nalbari, Assam, India.The experimental group underwent yogic training intervention for 6 (Six Weeks) 5 (five)days in a week and the control group did not underwent any specific training. Physiological variables such as resting heart rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure were dependent variable. And the health-related fitness variables such as flexibility, endurance was tested and measured by sit and reach test (in centimetre) and 12 minutes run/walk (in meter) respectively.
Result: the findings showed that there was a significant difference in experimental and a control group on endurance, resting heart ratesystolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressureand whereas there was insignificant difference on flexibility between the groups respectively.
Conclusion: The findings of the study highlighted the potential benefits of yogic training for taekwondo players in improving selected physiological and health-related fitness variables. It is concluded that yogic intervention of six weeks training elicited significant improvement on V02 max, Resting heart rate, blood pressure among the female taekwondo players
Formulation, Development And Characterization Of Nanostructured Lipid Carriers For Exemestane
Aim & Objective: This study aimed to formulate, develop and characterize nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) for delivering exemestane (EXE), a BCS Class-IV anticancer drug with poor bioavailability, to enhance its therapeutic efficacy.
Methods: NLCs formulated using melt emulsification with cetylpalmitate (solid lipid), almond oil (liquid lipid), cetyl alcohol (surfactant). Developed formulations were tested for appearance, pH, entrapment efficiency, particle size, polydispersity index (PI), zeta potential, in vitro diffusion, and stability.
Results: All formulated NLCs appeared as milky white dispersions with a pH of 4-5. Entrapment efficiency for EXE ranged from 59.64% to 80.82%, with NLCEXE2 showing the highest at 80.82%. Particle sizes ranged from 79.90 nm to 694.00 nm; NLCEXE2 had a size of 103.30 nm and a PI of 0.409. Its zeta potential was -32.54 mV, indicating stability. NLCEXE2 had the highest diffusion efficiency (88.42%), while NLCEXE7 had the lowest (60.14%) over 12 hours. Stability studies confirmed that NLCEXE2 maintained its quality over 6 months.
Conclusion: This research highlights NLCs potential as a delivery system for poorly soluble drugs like exemestane, improving therapeutic efficacy. Further research and clinical trials are needed to confirm these findings and facilitate practical applications
Coupling Mechanisms Between Lower And Upper Atmosphere Through Planetary Wave Coherence: Correlation Studies
Research into the relationship between the lower and the upper atmosphere and the feedback mechanisms which control the state of the entire atmosphere is crucial. This work aims to determine whether the planetary wave coherence could be the mechanism that mediates the connections between these atmospheric domains. In the present work we determine the correlation among wave activity at the lower and upper atmosphere based on field observational datasets. These results reveal that the behavior of planetary waves in the troposphere and the stratosphere is critically coupled with the physical processes that are simultaneously taking place in the said levels. In addition, we set some connections between coherence and seasons weather conditions. These outcomes are a reminder of the importance of planetary waves in driving atmospheric transport and the effect the associated conclusions could potentially have on weather and climate guidance. The work presented is important because it contributes to understanding communication among various aspects of the atmosphere and offers a good basis for the study of the mechanisms through which communication occurs
Pragmatics Perspectives On Language Use In Aravind Adiga\u27s The White Tiger
Aravind Adiga’s The White Tiger is taken up in this review as a contribution to social critique through the use of language as a pragmatic tool used in the tale. Using the lens of pragmatics, this study examines through the pragmatist lens basic concepts like speech act, implicature, politeness strategies and code switching in the context of the protagonist, Balram Halwai. This analysis shows how Balram’s language use reflects his changing self-perception and his way of dealing with class dynamics and power relations in modern India. Using many pragmatic strategies, Adiga manages to present a nuanced skight of the caste system and also the struggles of the \u27servant class.\u27 The research makes Balram’s journey from subjugation to empowerment the study’s focus, and highlights language’s contribution towards propagating or subverting social norms. Finally, this paper showcases how pragmatics is essential to literary analysis and adds to this broader understanding of how language affects identity and mocks socio economic discrepancies in modern Indian society
