LINGUISTIC CATEGORIZATION OF COLOR IN STATIC SYSTEMS AND SUBLTE DIFFERENCES DETECTED BY GENDER
Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate how individuals in a specific culture perform the linguistic categorization of the dominant color in an image and to identify potential differences in such categorization.
Theoretical Framework: Language is a fundamental component not only of culture but also of the mechanisms of the human brain, influencing both information processing and perception of the world. In this sense, linguistic categorization can provide insight into the functioning of the human mind, the perceptual experience of certain phenomena, and how language and visual perception interact across different cultures.
Method: An empirical study was conducted in which participants were exposed to images with a dominant color. The linguistic categorization of this color was evaluated based on the participants' gender.
Results and Discussion: The results showed variation in the linguistic categorization of the dominant color by gender. Women exhibited a broader range of categorization for different colors, which was also influenced by the intrinsic qualities of the object as well as by the visual processing derived from human structure
Implications of the Research: The findings could influence how colors are used in products and advertising in a culturally sensitive manner, where color perception is critical based on gender differences.
Originality/Value: This study examines how the intrinsic qualities of objects and human visual structure can alter perception and categorization, offering a new perspective on the relationship between language, culture, and the recognition of static systems

AN ASSESSMENT OF GENDER RELATED FACTORS AND ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTIONS OF STUDENTS IN SELECTED PUBLIC TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN NIGERIA
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine gender related factors and entrepreneurial intentions of students in selected tertiary institutions in Nigeria. It was as well focused on the barriers to male and female entrepreneurial activities in the selected tertiary institutions in Nigeria, to determine how effective entrepreneurship education is shaping the entrepreneurial intentions of female and male students in the selected tertiary institutions, examine how entrepreneurial intention of male and female students differ in the selected tertiary institutions; and to assess the gender stereotype for male and female students in the selected tertiary institutions.
Theoretical Framework: The common stereotypical view of females being submissive to their male counterparts is said to be clashing with the inherent nature of entrepreneurship intention, and the propensity towards launching an entrepreneurial business may be seen as an impairing factor for female students. In this sense, the paper has sought to systematically review various publications on gender related factors and entrepreneurial intentions of students of public tertiary institutions.
Design/Methodology/Approach: The study adopted a cross-sectional survey method using a structured questionnaire. The study area comprised of selected public tertiary institutions in Southwest Nigeria. Six tertiary institutions were selected for the purpose of this study. Students that have participated in entrepreneurship education in the selected tertiary institution in Nigeria are the target population for the study. Data from 351 respondents were assessed based on gender related factors and entrepreneurial intentions of students in selected tertiary institutions in Nigeria using descriptive and inferential statistics.
Findings: The study found female students facing more barriers in balancing academic and entrepreneurial activities compared to male students. The study recommends that proper orientation should be given to students on the importance of entrepreneurship education and how it can help them to become self-employed after school and students should be properly oriented on barriers and gender stereotypes, and how it influence their entrepreneurial intentions.
Originality/Value: The study therefore concludes that the distribution of barriers is not the same across the two categories of gender. Meanwhile, balancing academic and entrepreneurial activities, bad state of the economy and lack of capital as well as access to funds were the most popular barriers to entrepreneurial activities among tertiary institution students in Nigeria. Entrepreneurship education has statistically significant influence on entrepreneurial intention of students in Nigerian tertiary institutions. Three gender based stereotypes: active and energetic, sensitive to the needs of others and prone to position were statistically significantly different between female and male students which are not sufficient for generalization in this study. Nevertheless, the level of entrepreneurial intention is the same across the two categories of gender

We have created a database covering more than 250 thematic routes.
Findings: Good practices discovered during our research confirm that the development of tourist thematic routes can be an effective tool for the protection of rural heritage and for the development of rural gastronomy, in the presence of a suitable management organization.
Research, Practical & Social Implications: The German practice can serve as a good example in other countries in the development and operation of effective tourist thematic routes. However, effective operation requires a responsible "host" organization, professional management, and it is necessary to take into account trends affecting the demand-side of tourism during development.
Originality/Value: The results show the chronological distribution of the development of the thematic routes, and contain a recommendation on the important aspects to be taken into account during development
Diagnosis About Work Accidents in Textile Industry: Insights to Implement Occupational Health and Safety Systems
Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the occupational health and safety data in the textile industry to guide the implementation of the ISO 45001 standard.
Theoretical Framework: The global estimates of the International Labor Organization show that the world economy loses about 4% of GDP annually to occupational diseases and accidents, which, in addition to human losses, result in a loss of productivity due to unsafe or unhealthy environments. Motivated by the transition from the OHSAS 18000 standard to the ISO 45001, it is necessary to understand the scenario of industries and the impact that accidents cause.
Design/Methodology/Approach: From the collection of data from the state of Santa Catarina in the southern region of Brazil, a diagnosis is presented that may serve as a starting point for improvement actions regarding worker health and safety and as a benchmark for other companies in other sectors. The methodology began with analyzing the state of the art in occupational health and safety management, accident concepts, and the history of this theme worldwide.
Findings: The results showed that the main accidents that occurred in the textile factories of Santa Catarina from 2012 to 2022 were with machinery and equipment, followed by accidents with chemical agents, transport vehicles, and biological agents. As for the most affected body parts, these were the fingers, followed by feet, hands (except wrists and fingers), and eyes. Another research question was to identify the sectors of the textile industry that had the most accidents in the period, which were the spinning, weaving, and textile processing sectors. Also, there were two thousand days lost in 2021 alone and, cumulatively, 45,900 days lost in this interim.
Research, Practical & Social Implications: The absence of studies of this type for the textile industry and also a starting point for improvement actions regarding worker health and safety and as a benchmark for other companies in other sectors. The adoption of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System with the application of the ISO 45001 standard is a preventive and necessary measure to reduce the rates of accidents and diseases raised in the research carried out.
Originality/Value: The relevance of the topic is demonstrated by the large number of accidents registered in Brazil and worldwide and, at the same time, the absence of studies of this type for the textile industry. The clipping of this sector helps to understand the data regarding the most affected body parts, the number of registered work accidents, expenses and waste for companies, their causes, and the sector in which the most accidents occur, thus guiding managers to the implementation of an effective occupational health and safety management system
