analitzen un d’aquests grafits (CIL IV, 5296), que fou descobert a Pompeia a finals del segle XVIII i que, pel seu contingut i característiques, ha estat objecte
de diverses lectures i interpretacions. Així doncs, s’estableix un estat de la qüestió i es posen de relleu les interpretacions més plausibles, i també s’aporta un aparat crític on es recullen les diferents edicions.Graffiti provide valuable insights into everyday life and, in particular, about the written culture of ancient Rome. Get PDFLes innovacions que l’empresa Toyota ha aportat a la indústria automobilística ens han deixat una sèrie de tècniques i pràctiques que encara avui es continuen utilitzant per a la gestió dels processos de producció i, sobretot, de la cadena de producció. L’origen d’aquestes tècniques al Japó explica que ens arribessin, acompanyant-les, les denominacions japoneses corresponents (andon, jidoka, kaizen, poka-yoke…), que sovint són simplement paraules comunes en la llengua d’origen. L’objectiu d’aquest article és respondre a la pregunta sobre si és preferible mantenir aquestes formes en la llengua original, buscar denominacions catalanes que ens permetin fer-hi referència o anar combinant aquestes solucions segons el cas. Per fer-ho, descrivim els principis i criteris aplicats pel Consell Supervisor del TERMCAT per fixar les propostes denominatives per a un conjunt de termes relacionats amb el sistema de producció de Toyota i pertanyents a l’àrea de cadena de subministrament.The innovations contributed by Toyota Motor Company to the car industry involved a set of techniques and practices that are still used to manage production processes today, especially on the production line. Since these techniques were originally from Japan, the names they received came from the Japanese (andon, jidoka, kaizen, poka-yoke…), a language in which they were mostly common words. The aim of this paper is to answer the question as to whether it is better to keep these concepts in their original language, to look for Catalan designations, or to combine both solutions depending on the case. To do that, we describe the principles and criteria applied by the TERMCAT Supervising Council to fix the denominative proposals for a set of terms related to Toyota’s production system that belong to the supply chain domain

Get PDFEn una societat cada vegada més digitalitzada, els hipertrucatges, tecnologies basades en intel·ligència artificial, representen un repte creixent. Aquests continguts multimèdia falsos poden imitar imatges, vídeos i àudios amb gran realisme, i generar preocupacions sobre la seva utilització per a la manipulació i la desinformació. Aquest article explora què són els hipertrucatges, les tècniques utilitzades per crear-los i els mètodes avançats de detecció, com les xarxes neuronals convolucionals (en anglès, convolutional neural networks, CNN) i la reconfiguració de xarxes generatives adversàries (en anglès, generative adversial network, GAN). També s’aborda la importància de l’autenticació del contingut digital mitjançant tècniques com les signatures digitals i la cadena de custòdia. L’article conclou amb una reflexió sobre la necessitat d’una resposta coordinada, tant tecnològica com legal, per mitigar els riscos
associats als hipertrucatges.In an increasingly digitalized society, deepfakes, which are AI-based technologies, represent a growing challenge. These false multimedia contents can realistically mimic images, videos, and audio, raising concerns about their potential use for manipulation and disinformation. This article explores what deepfakes are, the techniques used to create them, and advanced detection methods, such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and generative adversial network (GAN) reconfiguration. It also addresses the importance of digital content authentication through techniques like digital signatures and chain of custody. The article concludes with a reflection on the need for a coordinated response, both technological and legal, to mitigate the risks associated with deepfakes
Use of Fourier series in S2 to approximate star-shaped surfaces
Get PDFPrimer ens centrem a estendre la noció de sèrie de Fourier, estudiant com podem representar funcions de quadrat integrable sobre varietats de Riemann. Per fer això ens ajudem del teorema de Hodge, que ens permetrà trobar bases d’aquests espais a partir del laplacià.Després veiem com aquest mètode es pot utilitzar per trobar les sèries de Fourier per a funcions periòdiques, i per a les funcions L2(S2), el cas principal. També discutim com estimar l’error en norma L2, i implementem totes les fórmules que es troben a l’article a un programa per poder visualitzar els resultats obtinguts.First we will focus in extending the notion of Fourier series, studying how can we represent functions of integrable square over Riemannian manifolds. To do this we will use the Hodge theorem, that will allow us to find basis of these spaces through the Laplacian. Then we will see how this method can be used to find the Fourier series for periodic functions, and for the functions L2(S2), our main case of study. We will also discuss how to estimate the L2-error, and we implement all the formulas found in the article in a program to be able to visualize the obtained results
