This reduction in file size saves disk/.memory space and allows faster transmission of images over a medium. In this work, image compression is achieved to with robust Error Back propagation algorithm with Gradient Decent learning rate mechanism for a better convergence rate is proposed.To obtain highest peak signal to noise ratio , optimum compression ratio and low mean square error a Neural network is trained After combining Gradient Descent learning rate the network learns faster to converge at fast rate according to the weights and gradient values of the previous one. Compression Ratio of 18.65 is obtained with a Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PNSR) of 28.8730 and Mean Square Error (MSE) of 36.5865 with this method

    Sibling rivalry is a routine part of growing up in families, but when that fighting turns into constant arguments, fights, and the creation of some potentially dangerous situations, it should be dealt with. This study was conducted to assess the knowledge and attitude among mothers of under-five children regarding management of sibling rivalry and also to findout the association between knowledge level and attitude level with selected socio-demographic variables. A descriptive study was carried out among 100 mothers at a selected urban area of Bangalore. Participants were selected through convenience sampling technique. Data was collected through structured self administered questionnaire on socio demographic variables and sibling rivalry. The result showed that 76% of mothers had moderately adequate knowledge and 67% of mothers had moderate level of attitude. There was a statistical significant association between the knowledge and socio-demographic variables such as age of mothers and type of family. There was a positive correlation between the level of knowledge and attitude among mothers of under-five children regarding management of sibling rivalry. When sibling rivalry gets out of hand, the effects can be disastrous. It is important that parents learn how to keep sibling rivalry to a minimum, and how to combat the negative effects of sibling rivalry
