    Effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme on Knowledge Regarding Complications Of Elderly Pregnancy Among Married women at Bidadi PHC Area,Ramanagar District

    A growing number of women are getting pregnant above 35 years nowadays. Complications that arises due to elderly pregnancy is also not lesser compared to the women getting pregnant below 35 years of age. Risk of complications can be reduced and controlled provided mothers have thorough knowledge of this condition. This study attempts to evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding complications of elderly pregnancy among married women at Bidadi PHC area, Ramanagar district. The study involved single group pre-test and post test without a control group using pre experimental design, with purposive sampling technique. 50 married women were interviewed by using structured interview schedule. The overall findings of the study clearly showed that the STP was significantly effective in improving the knowledge of married women regarding complications of elderly pregnancy. The results revealed that teaching programme enable and empower married women with adequate knowledge, which in turn contribute to prevent and manage the complications of elderly pregnancy

    This paper presents an overview of a calculation of the short circuit current with respect to rise in temperature for the detection of hotspot and fault level prediction on LT distribution board. PLC/DCS networks providing remote monitoring and alarm capabilities specifically in the detection of the hotspot and fault location, including safety and security services, which improve the system operation. The reliability and efficiency of the system is also improved by continuous monitoring and control of the main bus bar connection.     An Efficient Text Clustering Approach using Affinity Propagation with weight modification

    Recently the text mining has emerged as one of the most important fields of data mining because of most of the searching in the web is done on the basis of provided text, also the increasing use of social web network uses the text as major component and extracting the effective information directly or indirectly requires an efficient grouping algorithm which should be capable of providing efficient clustering. The most widely used techniques use vector space model to find equivalent vector of the text for clustering. The vector space model represents the text on the form of n-tuples numeric array (vector) where each dimension represents the unique word and the value is the weight of that word on the basis of term frequency- inverse document frequency (tf-idf), the problem of the technique is that the unique words count in any document may be very large which will create the similarly long vectors whose processing will require large memory with processing power secondly analysis may be required a bias categorical grouping which not addressed in the above technique. Hence in this paper an efficient clustering approach is presented which uses one dimension for the group of the words representing the similar area of interest with that we have also considered the uneven weighting of each dimension depending upon the categorical bias during clustering. After creating the vector the clustering is performed using seeds-affinity clustering techniq e. Finally to study the performance of the presented algorithm, it is applied to the benchmark data set Reuters-21578 and compared it for F-measure, Entropy and Execution time with k-means algorithm and the original AP (affinity propagation) algorithm the results shows that the presented algorithm outperforms the others by acceptable margin

    Analysis and Reduction of Power using Gating Techniques Near Subthreshold Region

    The subthreshold and gate leakage power consumption in deep submicron CMOS systems are projected to become a significant part of the total power dissipation. This paper presents several dual-threshold voltage techniques for reducing standby power dissipation while still maintaining high performance. A dual-mode logic gate, for selectable operation in either of static and dynamic modes, includes: a static gate which includes at least one logic input and a logic output; a mode selector, configured for outputting a turn-off signal to select static mode operation and for outputting a dynamic clock signal to select dynamic mode operation and a switching element associated with the mode selector static gate, comprising a first input connected to a constant voltage, a second input for inputting the mode selection signal from the mode selector, and an output connected to a logic output of the static gate. The switching elements switches the logic gate operation from static to dynamic mode, by applying the appropriate signal to the switching element. As transistor sizes scale down and levels of integration increase, leakage power has become a critical problem in VLSI designs. This is especially true for ultra-low-voltage (ULV) circuits, where high levels of leakage force designers to choose relatively high threshold voltages, which limits performance.     Malnutrition has an effect on children’s well being and their ability to learn & play normally; therefore healthy food choices may prove a child’s well being & ability to learn and play normally. The dietary habits in childhood impact directly on growth, development and prevalence of disease throughout the life cycle. Healthy eating habits should, thus, established during childhood. The quality of children’s diet usually declines as they move from childhood to adolescence. Healthy eating is usually not a priority for adolescents, and poor eating patterns may thus add a risk for current and future health problems. The school going girls is in a state of process of growing up from puberty to maturity. Adolescent account for 1/5 of the world’s population and in India they account for 22.8% of total population. They are tomorrow’s adult. Their growth and development is closely linked to the diet they receive during childhood. They may represent a window of opportunity to prepare nutritionally for a healthy adult life. They have to encounter a series of serious nutritional challenges not only affecting their growth and development but also their livelihood as adults. Thus it is not surprising that girl population who are “mother to be” is considers as the most important section on which the future of nation depends. A large number of school based nutrition programmers have been implemented globally on obesity, the importance of activity and of vegetables & fruits in the diet. It is much more important to improve nutrition knowledge through nutrition education in order to have a positive influence on healthy food choices. Number of children in India particularly girls live under suboptimal conditions marked by poor nutritional status and high level of morbidity and mortality. In developing countries, factors associated with under nutrition of girls are poor household economic condition, periodic food shortage, burden of diseases, poor knowledge about long term consequences of under nutrition, quantity & quality of food and access to health and nutrition services. Girls have mere easy access to health and nutritional information through schools, recreational activities and mass media than they have later in their lives. Particularly, health and nutrition education and healthy habits of female adolescents will have critical roles to play in maintaining future family health and nutrition. The focus of this project is to determine the nutrition knowledge and nutritional status of school going girls attending purposively selected public school in district Bijnor (U.P)

    Diminution of Natural Resources: With Special Reference to Dungarpur

    The present study was conducted on the diminution of natural resources, especially land and water, in Rajasthan. Dungarpur district of Rajasthan is selected for this study. This study is based on secondary data. The results of the study publicized that over the years, percent share of area below non-agricultural use (5.96%), total cropped area (51.84%) and area sown more than once (16.97%) to total geographical area has progressively gone up in the district. The share of surface water irrigation in total net irrigated area has shrivel from 42.00 per cent to 31.77 per cent while the share of ground water irrigation has increased from 61.40 per cent to 68.23 per cent during the study period

    Lichens are hardy plants; they grow and thrive under conditions which other plants find unfav ourable for their survival. Their slow rate of metabolism results in their sluggish growth. The phenomenon reduces their water and nutritional needs to the minimum and as a consequence lichens are able to withstand xeric conditions for prolonged periods. They can also tolerate extreme range of temperature. Bare and exposed monuments and building surfaces therefore provide ideal, competition free situations for lichen invasion and establishment as pioneers of the biosuccession.Biodeterioration of monumental stone cannot be considered as an isolated phenomenon. It generally occurs with other physical, chemical or physiochemical process; lichen creates all above steps regarding deterioration of monuments. Biophysical stone degradation by lichens results primarily from the penetration of the attachment devices of the pores, preexisting cracks and fissures in the stone. These cracks and fissures may subsequently widen due to an increase in the mass of the thallus during growth

    The interaction of electromagnetic waves with matter is an important area of research from past several decades. Surface plasma on or Surface Plasma Wave (SPW) is a guided electromagnetic mode that propagates along the interface between a conductor and a dielectric. One may use the attenuated total reflection (ATR) geometry in which a metal film is deposited over on a glass prism to excite a SPW . The laser is launched through the glass onto the glass-metal interface with a wave number, whose component along the surface matches the wave number of the SPW at the metal-free space boundary. Plasma processing of materials is one of the major tools in micro electronics industry. The unique property of plasma to modify the surface is exploited in plasma- aided manufacturing processes viz. ion implantation, sputtering, etching etc. Microwave created plasmas have advantages of no contamination & surface damages to substrates and less power requirements as compared to a rf power system. Due to small penetration depth of microwaves, creation of large volume homogenous plasma is difficult. In past few years, efforts have been made to create large-volume microwave created plasmas employing slow -wave structures where the surface plasma wave (SPW) couples with the slow wave of the conductor - dielectric structure to give a slow surface plasma wave. This slow surface plasma wave can sustain a large volume plasma for material processing

    A System to locate and recognize ZIP codes in hand written addresses

    A system to automatically locate and recognize ZIP Codes in handwritten address is described. Given a grey-scale image of hand-written address block, the system preprocesses the image by thresholding, border removal and underline removal. One or more candidate words for the ZIP Code are isolated. Each candidate is divided into 5 or 9 segments and recognition is attempted on each segment. Digit recognition is accomplished by means of an arbitration procedure that takes as input the decision of three different classifierse template matching using stored prototypes, a mixed approach that uses statistical and structural analysis of digit boundary, and a rule-based approach to analyze digit strokes. The result of ZIP Code recognition is verified using a postal directory. Performance of the system, still under refinement, is promising
