Psikologi Kegelapan: Membedah Konflik Batin Tokoh Utama Dalam Novel Rumah Tanpa Cahaya
Full text linkThis study examines the psychology of the main character in the novel Rumah Tanpa Cahaya by Regita-Lenn Liu. The research aims to identify the psychological conflict experienced by the main character, Natta, through Sigmund Freud's personality theory (id, ego, superego) that illustrates the mental turmoil caused by family dynamics. The methodology used is hermeneutic qualitative analysis, focusing on symbolic and textual interpretation. The results of the analysis show that Natta experiences internal conflict between desire (id), reality (ego), and moral values (superego), especially in her relationship with her younger brother, Alie, who is ostracised by his family. This conflict shapes Natta's decisions, showing that the id has an important role in the positive actions she takes, despite going against her social environment. This study reveals that psychological elements in novels can provide an in-depth understanding of the complexity of characters and their impact on the storyline. The implication is that psychological analysis of literature helps readers understand personality dynamics in fictional narratives and their relevance to real-life conflicts
Pengembangan Media Papan Huruf untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas 1 SDN Natakupe
Full text linkThis research aims to develop learning media in the form of a letterboard designed to increase the learning motivation of grade 1 students of SDN Natakupe, especially in learning Indonesian, and to test its feasibility. Student learning motivation is a major concern because it plays an important role in supporting an effective learning process. This research focuses on the question, "How feasible is the use of typeboard media as a learning tool in grade 1 elementary school?" The research uses the Research and Development (RD) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The subject of the study was a 1st grade student of SDN Natakupe. Data was collected through a survey involving material experts, media experts, design experts, and users, with instruments in the form of questionnaires that were validated quantitatively and qualitatively. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical methods to determine the feasibility level of letterboard media. The results of the validation of the letterboard media showed that the aspects of practicality, aesthetics, and content suitability obtained an average score of 90% (very feasible), 87% (very feasible) media experts, and 80% (feasible) design experts. The trial on students generated a positive response, with an average score of 96% for increased attractiveness, ease of use, and motivation to learn. The use of this media not only attracts students' attention, but also increases their active involvement in the learning process through a play-by-play approach to learning. Letterboard media has proven to be effective as a learning tool and can be used as an alternative media to increase student learning motivation at the elementary school level. More research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of this medium on a wider student population
Inferioritas dan Superioritas Tokoh-tokoh dalam Novel Selena Karya Tere Liye (Kajian Psikologi Sastra Alferd Adler)
Full text linkThe purpose of this study is to describe the forms of inferiority and superiority found in the novel Selena by Tere Liye. The benefits of this study are to increase knowledge about literary science, especially in the field of literary psychology research. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research method. The data used in this study are sentences, quotes, or excerpts that show conformity with Alfred Adler's Inferiority and Superiority theory. The data collection techniques used in this study are library techniques, reading techniques, and note-taking techniques. Then the data analysis technique in this study uses the Miles and Huberman analysis technique which consists of data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions from the data obtained. The results of this study indicate the existence of forms of inferiority in the form of timidity, hesitance, insecurity, cowardice, and submissive obedience. Meanwhile, the form of superiority contained in the Selena novel by Tere Liye is in the form of the final goal that the main character wants to achieve, namely to become a student at the High Shadow Academy (ABTT) and to be able to defend himself to become a student at the High Shadow Academy (ABTT), then the strength of struggle as a form of compensation manifested in the form of courage, stubbornness, rebelliousness, and opposition. And the struggle that is carried out is to achieve personal superiority
Penggunaan Media Komik Strip Terhadap Pembelajaran Menulis Teks Anekdot di SMK Muhammadiyah Kajen
Full text linkThe study was intended to describe the use of a comic book strip to teach anecdoatic text writing in class X SMK Muhammadiyah Kajen school year 2023/2024. The study uses a qualitative type of descriptive research. The data sources in the study are secondary and primary data. Primary data in research include student interviews, and interviews with educators. Secondary data in the study are the educators module for class X anecdote text material, the vlue data acquired by educated participants, the comics generated by educated, and the documentation during the process. Data collection techniques in this study include direct observation, interviews, and documentation. Studies have shown that the use of comics to write anecdotal texts has been found to be 31 (83%) educated people who get excellent credit, and there are 6 (17%) educated peole who score well on the overall rate of learnes. The strip’s comic media can be an alternative or solution in the learning process that can arouse learner’s interest in learning and learning motivation

Full text linkThe politeness of speech acts can be influenced by certain sociological factors, for example, relative power, social distance, and the presence of elements of coercion. In its development, politeness in speech acts also develops in its opposite form, namely impoliteness. The focus of the study in this research is the language impoliteness strategy in the film "Siap, Gan!" which appears as a reflection of differences in social levels by focusing discussion on the five strategies of impoliteness according to Culpeper's theory. This research aims to describe impolite language strategies in films. The type of research used in this research is qualitative and the data provision technique used in this research is observation/observation techniques. Observation techniques are carried out without involving what is being observed. The data source for this research comes from a video film entitled "Siap, Gan!" obtained on the YouTube channel. The analysis carried out in this research uses contextual analysis. Contextual analysis involves several elements, namely identifying speakers and speech partners, observing the background or causes of the speech, and the goals to be achieved through the speech data analysis, it is known what types of language impoliteness appear in the film "Siap, Gan!" namely bald on record impoliteness, positive impoliteness, and negative impoliteness. The most frequently used strategy is negative impoliteness. This proves the impoliteness in the film "Siap, Gan!" This tends to be used to attack the speaker's negative face. Some of the data findings indicate that several forms of words that are personally offensive to the speaker due to different social strata are also found to be presented as directly impolite with harsh, insulting, degrading, and critical language

Full text linkThis study examines the process of translating song lyrics from Javanese to Indonesian, focusing on the translation techniques used by Mad Lyric, a popular YouTube channel known for its song translations. The increasing popularity of Javanese songs plays a significant role in preserving cultural heritage, but translating song lyrics poses challenges in maintaining the authenticity of meaning and linguistic style. The aim of this study is to identify the translation techniques applied by Mad Lyric and to understand how they preserve meaning and style in the translated lyrics. A descriptive qualitative approach with content analysis was used, focusing on the lyrics translated by Mad Lyric on their YouTube channel. The data were analyzed based on translation techniques, such as literal translation, reduction, amplification, and modulation. The results show that Mad Lyric prioritizes maintaining the original message while adapting it into a more natural and easily understandable style in Indonesian. Modulation and amplification techniques were more dominant in preserving the original nuance of the lyrics while adjusting expressions to the target language. These findings highlight the importance of understa nding cultural and linguistic contexts in music translation, which ultimately enhances the quality of interlanguage translation while preserving the essence of the original message

In applying media in learning, teachers are advised to apply media that can make students interested in learning and raise their motivation in learning. As technology develops in the current digital era, there are more and more technology-based learning media. Powtoon media is a technology-based learning media that can attract students to learn and raise their motivation. This is because the media is an animated video that combines audio and visuals which can provide a special attraction in learning negotiation texts for class X-4 students. This research examines the application of Powtoon media in learning negotiation texts for class X-4 students at SMA N 5 Semarang. The main problem is the low interest of students in learning about negotiation text material which is delivered only through the lecture method without interactive learning media. Therefore, researchers apply new innovations in the learning process in the form of applying Powtoon media in learning negotiation texts with the aim of increasing activity so that students are more enthusiastic and active in learning, in addition to making students understand more about the structure of negotiation texts Powtoon media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through tests and non-tests. The research results show that the application of Powtoon is effective in increasing student participation, this is shown by the test results of students with the highest score of 95 and the lowest score of 85, and non-test results in the form of interviews and observations show that students are active and enthusiastic in learning

Full text linkLiterary literacy in schools was essential because it had a positive impact on both the academic and personal development of students, such as enhancing critical thinking skills. Students learnt to analyze plot, characters, and themes, as well as evaluated various perspectives and meanings within texts. Literary literacy also enriched vocabulary and language skills. Reading various literary genres expanded students' vocabulary and improved their ability to understand and use language effectively. The aimed of this study was to understand how literary literacy fostered and developeded in schools. This research used a literature study method with a narrative review model. In this narrative review, data from several journals were analyzed and summarized based on the author's experience. The study employed a qualitative method with secondary data obtained from relevant journals. The researchers used a descriptive analytical method, collecting, identifying, organizing, and analyzing various data found. The results of the study showed that the development and enhancement of literary literacy in schools in Indonesia include: 1) Intensive Reading Programs within the GLS program, 2) Use of Technology, 3) Interactive Teaching Methods, 4) Teacher Training and Professional Development, and 5) Improvement of School Libraries

Full text linkThis research is motivated by shifts in increasingly complex religious values. The widespread news regarding the phenomenon of excessive selfies during the Umrah pilgrimage illustrates a shift in religious values. This research aims to describe the religious values contained in the novel Assalamu'alaikum Baitullah by Asma Nadia. The method used is qualitative with descriptive data analysis techniques. This research uses two data collection techniques, namely observation techniques and literature study techniques. Primary data was obtained from the novel Assalamu'alaikum Baitullah by Asma Nadia and secondary data was obtained from various relevant sources. The theory used is the Atmosuwito religious value theory. The results of the research show that there are six aspects of religious values in the novel Assalamu'alaikum Baitullah by Asma Nadia, namely; 1) surrender, submission, and obedience, 2) a life full of glory, 3) inner feelings of connection with God, 4) feelings of sin, 5) feelings of fear, and 6) recognizing the greatness of God. Novels that contain religious values, if studied, can influence someone to apply religious valuesin everyday life. This research will be recommended as module type printed teaching material for second semester high school students in class XII

This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This type of research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive method, which collects and analyzes scientific data and then describes the facts in detail to determine the personality structure and personality of the character Lucas Ford in the novel In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan. The research studied is the personality structure and personalities of characters in literary works.
