    Implementasi Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (Project Based Learning) pada Mata Kuliah Media Pembelajaran di Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta

    The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of implementing a project-based learning model. This study used design of classroom action research in two cycles. The instrument used was in the form of a test instrument to measure the results of knowledge and skills tests, as well as non-test instruments to find out student activity data. The subjects in this study were 42 5A grade students of Indonesian Language Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University Surakarta, who attended learning tool courses in the odd semester of 2017/2018. Based on the results of the study, aspects of knowledge, skills, and attitudes of students in the basic concepts, classifications, and criteria of visual learning tool for elementary and junior high school students have increased after using the project-based learning model. The results of the knowledge test showed that the average class score on the cycle was 48.7, the first cycle was 48.67, then in the second cycle, it increased to 84.45 in the excellent category. As for the results of the skill test, the pre-cycle class average value is 69.69, the first cycle is 75.64, and in the second cycle is 84.06. The results of the non-data data analysis also showed an increase in student activity. In prusiks the percentage of students who are passive is 16.67%, in cycle one it is reduced to 11.90%, then in cycle 2, it is only 9.52%. When pre-cycle the percentage of students active during lectures is 47.62%, then during period one it increases to 52.38%, and in cycle two it becomes 59.52%

    Pilkada 2015 which took place in 21 regencies and cities in Central Java worth to be examined in terms of the use of political advertising embodied in the form of banners/billboards. The role and whereabouts of political advertising will help determine the public support of the candidates. This study aims to reveal the values of prophetic rhetoric on political discourse pilkada in 2015 in Central Java. Methods and techniques of data collection in this study is a method refer to the technique of free libat captive, recording techniques, and record techniques. Three stages of analysis used in this study, namely data reduction, data presentation, and description of conclusions and verification. To answer the questions and needs of the research, the researcher analyzed the research data in the form of banners and baliho pilkada 2015 in Central Java through observation technique and refers to the note that existed in the discourse fragment of advertisement which is supposed to be a statement which is the values of discourse of prophetic rhetoric. Based on the results of analysis on the political election advertising discourse concluded that there are various prophetic rhetoric which is the embodiment of the main values humanist, liberative, and transcendent

    Pop-Up Legenda Sindoro Sumbing Berbasis Kearifan Lokal sebagai Media Literasi Siswa

    This study aims to describe the steps of developing Sindoro Sumbing Legend pop-up media based on local wisdom as a student literacy media. This type of research is development research (R D). This research was conducted at SDN Nguwet Kranggan, Temanggung Regency, Central Java, with a research subject of 35 class V students. The research instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. Questionnaires were filled in directly by respondents and validated by experts. The respondents who filled out the survey were teaching material experts, learning tool experts, and students. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive analysis. The results of this study are that Media Pop-Up developed is a Pop-Up folk tale or legend by linking local story elements in Temanggung Regency. This is due to the developed Pop-Up Book media based on local wisdom so that relevant stories are chosen, namely the Sindoro Sumbing Legend. Pop-Up Media Legend of Sindoro Sumbing based on domestic intelligence was developed with stages (1) research and data collection, (2) product manufacturing planning, (3) product draft development, and (4) limited implementation test. The results of the implementation tests in schools include individual tests, limited, and extensive tests obtaining scores in a row 4.25; 4.48; and 4.77, which means that the Pop-Up Legenda Sindoro Sumbing media is worthy of being used as a media for student literacy

    Peningkatan Motivasi dan Prestasi Belajar Menulis Teks Narasi dengan Teknik Student Teams-Achievement Devisions (STAD) Peserta Didik Kelas XA SMA Negeri 5 Kota Magelang

    This research is aimed to improve students' motivation and learning outcomes. The action used in improving the two things is the learning process with STAD technique. This study uses three stages: Pre Cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II, each cycle using two meetings. Research data were obtained from a student questionnaire and test with multiple choice questions. Questionnaire to know the development of learning motivation, while the test with multiple choice questions to know the development of learning outcomes. The research data is analyzed descriptively-qualitative. The results of the study explain that the implementation of learning with STAD techniques can improve student's motivation and achievement. Learning motivation in Pre Cycle obtained an average of 23.47 (medium category). While in Cycle I the average learning motivation increased to 26.57 (medium category). Percentage of students achieved high category score of 4 students (13%). Furthermore, in cycle II the average learning motivation of 33.87 (high category). Percentage of students obtained a great and very high category score of 22 students (73.3%). Thus until the end of Cycle II, learning motivation has increased. While the results of learning on the Precycle obtained an average of 61.93 (enough category), in the first cycle increased to 69.53 (enough class), in Cycle II obtained an average of 78.77 (right type). Furthermore, it is known that the percentage of learning mastery in the Pre Cycle of 3%, Cycle I of 31%, then in cycle II the rate of learning mastery increased to 86.66%. Thus until the end of Cycle II, student learning outcomes have increased. Based on the above data can be concluded that the implementation of learning STAD technique can improve learning motivation and student learning outcomes

    The Use of Indonesian/Malay Orthography in Tempo Doeloe Advertisement and Its Implication for Indonesian Learning

    In terms of the history of its compilation, the Indonesian language has applied two of the four existing spellings, the Spelling van Ophuijsen and Spelling Suwandi or Spelling Republican. The Spelling of van Ophuijsen was coined by Charles Adriaan van Ophuijsen, a Dutch scholar of Malay, who compiled the book Kitab Logat Melajoe (1901). After Independence in 1945, the next two years, the Spelling Suwandi or Republican Spelling, based on Surat Keputusan No. 264/Bhg.A, date 19 March 1947, signed by Menteri Pengajaran, Pendidikan, dan Kebudayaan Mr. Soewandi. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method. The data analyzed in the form of advertising tempo doeloe from the website www.wajibbaca.com. These advertisings, once analyzed, use a lot of Spelling van Ophuijsen and Spelling Suwandi or Spelling Republican. The result of this research is Spelling van Ophuijsen marked font oe, dj, and diacritic marks. Meanwhile, the Spelling of Suwandi has marked the font u substitute oe and the repeated word with number 2. Spelling in an advertisement can be used in lecture Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia)

    Upaya Meningkatkan Kompetensi Menulis Kembali Dongeng melalui Puzzle Alur Cerita Berbasis Film Dongeng

    This study aimed to describe the learning implementation process of folklore rewriting competency through storyline puzzles. The puzzles were based on two folklore movies for improving the skill in revising folklore and also for behavioral enhancement of first Semester students in this case the VIIE class student in the academic year of 2015/2016, through this hopefully there will be a significant behavioral change in the student's personality. This research was conducted using the action research method by Kemmis and Taggart designing for two cycles. The steps in each cycle consist of (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIE of SMP Negeri 3 Ambarawa first semester in the academic year of 2015/2016. The technique used was the folklore-based storyline puzzle. Data collection tools used in this study were the performance instruments for folklore rewriting, student behavior observation sheets, student notes, observer notes, teacher and observer’s reflection sheets, and digital cameras to document the learning process. The Validated data consisted of learning outcome data (results of rewriting the folklore and daily quiz) and learning process data (teaching activities and the changes in students' behavior). Based on the results of the study and discussion, it can be concluded that learning activity through folklore-based storyline puzzles can improve the learning outcome of writing folklore, improving the students’ personality, and improving the process of implementing better learning, especially students of class VIIE SMP Negeri 3 Ambarawa first semester in the academic year of 2015/2016

    This study aimed at investigating the meaning of Padlocks hung on the fence of Liliba Bridge in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The meaning of the padlocks was analyzed from semiotic’s approach especially Roland Barthes which meanings were seen from denotation, connotation, and myth. This study used qualitative research method. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the hanging padlocks had 3 main meanings, (1) the denotation meaning was the couple or teenagers wrote both their names on a padlock, then they locked and hung it on Liliba Bridge; (2) the connotation meaning was the couple or teenagers had analogy their love in a padlock which had their names in order to make their romantic love lasts forever as same as the padlock; and (3) the myth meaning was the teenagers believed and convinced that their love will last forever if they locked the padlocks on the Liliba bridge

    The low interest of student in teaching and learning to read Javanese scripts can result in the learning process becomes less than optimal so that the result are not up to it.It shows that if we want to improvestudent learning outcomes, then we should be able to increase the activeness of students on the subject studied. Based on this background, the researchers wanted to examine the relationship between k-w-h-l-w techniques in improving activeness and learning achievement of reading Javanese scripts through k-w-h-l-w technique to the eight grade students for “C†class of SMP 2 Magelang in second semester in the school year 2013/2014.The subject of the research of the research are 22 student consisted of 14 girls and 8 boys. They aredivided into big group and small one. The problem of this research can be formulated: Can k-w-h-l-w tehnique improve activeness and learning achievement of reading Javanese scripts through k-w-h-l-w tehnique to the eight grade students for “C†class of SMP 2 Magelang?The research carried out in February- May 2014. It was conducted in three cycles. Performed at each cycle(1 meeting) made observations of the students during the learning activities using instrumental observations, evaluated student responses to the questionnaire and evaluated activities using teacher’s questionnaires, each cycle consists of four phases: planning, acting, observing and reflecting.The result of the research : (1) k-w-h-l-w tehnique can improve the activiness of enough criteria (2,23) becames high  criteria (2,97) or  0,74 (33,18%) and (2) k-w-h-l-w tehnique can improve learning achievement  from less category (56,77) becames good category (84,84 or 28,07 (49,45%).Its conclusion obtained from the study of this class action is that k-w-h-l-w tehnique is the achievement of the k-w-h-l-w tehnique can improve the students’ activiness and learning achieviement to read Javanese script. Keyword: K-W-H-L-W tehnique, Javanese scripts, activiness, learning achievemen

    Dosen memerlukan cara yang tepat dalam pengajaran writing khususnya di tingkat universitas karena mahasiswa harus menulis laporan penelitian di akhir masa studinya. Selain itu kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis jenis-jenis teks juga masih kurang memadai. Hal tersebut akan mendorong dosen untuk selalu melakukan inovasi dengan menggunakan teknik pengajaran yang menarik. Cooperative learning adalah suatu bentuk kegiatan pembelajaran yang aktif dimana mahasiswa harus bekerja sama untuk menampilkan tugas tertentu dalam kelompok kecil. Dengan penggunaan teknik ini mahasiswa akan mendapatkan ide untuk menulis dengan lebih mudah serta menikmati proses belajar-mengajar yang menarik dan menyenangkan.     Membaca adalah proses berfikir, karena aspek utamanya adalah memahami makna dari bacaan. Bagian paling penting dari makna adalah ide, konsep, pola pikiran, gambaran, dan perkataan. Makna tidak hanya muncul dari kumpulan kata tetapi dari tautan makna dari setiap kata didalam sebuah konteks di pikiran pembaca. Teks bacaan disebut pasif karena pembacalah yang harus aktif menemukan makna dari sebuah teks bacaan. Pembaca harus dapat memahami sebuah pesan didalam teks berdasarkan unsur-unsur semantiknya. Salah satunya adalah kohesi. Kohesi dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui apakah sebuah teks bacaan tersebut bermakna atau tidak. Sebuah teks bacaan dikatakan baik jika ditulis dengan kohesif sehingga terbentuk jalinan makna yang tidak lepas dari konteks teks tersebut. Kohesi dapat memudahkan siswa dalam memahami sebuah bacaan karena siswa dapat mengetahui jalinan makna bagaimana kalimat ataupun paragraph terhubung didalam sebuah konteks.Key words: cohesion, reading text Â
