Programa Valle Corona
No full textThe following text presents the intervention proposal developed by teachers and practicing psychologists of the Universidad Libre under the tele orientation modality, within the framework of the program called Valle Corona. This program was run by the Government of Valle del Cauca in collaboration with the Universidad Libre and the Colombian College of Psychologists (Colpsic) and was implemented as an institutional response to the health emergency declared by the Colombian national government due to the coronavirus pandemic covid-19. This document also records a balance of the care provided for a year, in the second semester of 2020 and the first semester of 2021. At the end of the text, it is pointed out that the mass training of psychologist volunteers to attend emergencies was a great advance for the country, which allowed the creation of new mental health teams, improved the response installed in public health in the regions and raised awareness in the state and Colombian society of the need to strengthen primary health care for all communities, especially to deal with difficult situations such as the covid-19 health emergency.PublishedEl siguiente texto presenta la propuesta de intervención desarrollada por docentes y Psicólogas practicantes de la Universidad Libre bajo la modalidad de tele orientación, en el marco del programa denomina-do Valle Corona. Al final del texto se señala que fue un gran avance para el país la formación en masa de voluntarios psicólogos para atender emergencias, lo que permitió crear nuevos equipos de salud mental, mejorar la respuesta instalada en salud pública de las regiones y concientizar al estado y a la sociedad colombiana de la necesidad de fortalecer la atención primaria en salud para todas las comunidades, en especial, para atender situaciones difíciles como lo fue la emergencia sanitaria del covid-19

Beginning in the last years of collective innocence before the Great War, it follows the regiment to Vimy Ridge, through the short years of peace to Dieppe and the Italian Campaign, through the establishment and maintenance of militia and reserve forces, and into the Cold War.
Onward is a soldier’s story: mundane, heroic and tragic. This book explores not only the actions of the regiment but also the efforts of civilians to become warriors, to maintain their ties to home during the rigours of war, and the often-rocky return to civilian life. It explores peacetime, when the regiment struggled to maintain active reserves with aging equipment and minimal support. It places the King’s Own Calgary Regiment within the context of Canada’s army, tracing its relationships with brigade mates, supporting artillery and engineers to provide a complete and fascinating history.

It does so through the lens of documenta 15, focusing on ruangrupa’s lumbung approach, which confronts Eurocentric cultural norms and stimulates a shift towards pluriversal horizons, demonstrating the transformative potential of alternative methodologies.
This book provides a comprehensive understanding of how collective methods and practices can cultivate pluriversal horizons in cultural institutions and policies, informed by extensive field research at documenta 15. The Ravine of Memory
No full textThe Nazis and their collaborators buried over 100,000 victims at Babyn Yar, a ravine in modern-day Ukraine. Most of the individuals were Jewish, making this area one of the most infamous mass murder sites in history. The Ravine of Memory starts when the travesty ends, telling the story of the ravine’s memory and forgetting in Soviet literature and culture—in Russian as well as in Yiddish. This book challenges the prevailing binary conceptions of Babyn Yar as exclusively a Holocaust or a “Great Patriotic War” story. It is neither the exclusive product of Soviet censorship nor individual dissidents. Babyn Yar is more than a physical space where untold horrors took place. Symbolically, it is the ultimate meeting point of so many disparate threads of Soviet culture: the state and the artist, the Jew and the non-Jew, and the Holocaust and the Great Patriotic War. No full textThe European Union must solidify its position as a global leader in technology, innovation and clean energy. By addressing key challenges and leveraging existing strengths, Europe can enhance its competitiveness, foster economic growth and show the world how to successfully transition to green energy. In short, Europe needs to: Better integrate the EU single market and simplify access to it. Market fragmentation caused by regulatory and structural differences hinders the businesses’ ability to take full advantage of the wider European market. This is particularly true for innovative firms – 60% of exporters cite regulatory inconsistencies as a barrier to expanding their business. Simplifying regulatory compliance could reduce costs, which currently account for about 1.8% of turnover for firms and 2.5% for small and mid-size companies. Marshal investment for innovative young firms and the broader digital transformation. Europe has a strong research base and industrial capacity, but innovative firms often have difficulty finding funds to scale their business. European firms have also made less progress integrating big data analysis and artificial intelligence into their production and services – the share of EU firms using these services is 6 percentage points lower than in the United States. Improving this adoption could bring significant productivity gains for European firms. Push forward with the green transition. Europe needs to combine its ambitious climate goals with a realistic and pragmatic roadmap that would help companies seize the opportunities presented by the green transition. The energy revolution is in full swing. Renewable energy supplied almost half (48%) of Europe’s electricity demand in 2024, with emissions from power generation falling 13% during the year. Europe’s climate leadership is also paying off economically, as EU companies profit from growing exports of low-carbon technologies. European exports in those products have risen 65% since 2017, compared with 79% for China and only 22% for the United States. By fostering collaboration, targeting investments and maintaining a consistent regulatory framework, Europe can capitalise on its strengths to drive sustainable growth, technological leadership and economic resilience in an increasingly competitive global landscape
