Dabei ist Klimaschutz vor allem dann erfolgreich, wenn er sozial gerecht ausgestaltet wird – so die These der Beiträge in diesem Band. Die Beiträger:innen nehmen Grundlagen und Strategien für sozial gerechten Klimaschutz in den Blick und präsentieren die Ergebnisse ihrer Forschungsprojekte an der Universität Hamburg. Dabei nutzen sie vielfältige Methoden wie systematische Literaturrecherchen, Interviews, Gruppendiskussionen, Dokumentenanalysen, Onlinebefragungen und Sekundärauswertungen von großen repräsentativen Datensätzen. No full textWie verändert sich das Arbeiten und Lernen des Bildungspersonals in der Beruflichen Bildung, Erwachsenenbildung und Hochschulbildung unter den Bedingungen der digitalen Transformation? Diese Frage steht im Zentrum der Monografie, die aus einer erziehungs- und bildungswissenschaftlichen Perspektive eruiert, inwiefern sich die Konzepte von New Work und New Learning als Deutungsrahmen für die tiefgreifenden Veränderungsprozesse eignen. Die Monografie verbindet dabei einen historischen Blick auf die Diskurse um New Work und New Learning, ein Literaturreview sowie qualitative Studienergebnisse. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass sich das Arbeiten und Lernen des Bildungspersonals zunehmend durch flexible Strukturen und individuelle Gestaltung auszeichnet. Lernprozesse nehmen häufiger die Form kurzfristigen, problemorientierten Lernens an und erfordern neue Kompetenzen. Zugleich gewinnen kollaborative und erfahrungsbasierte Lernformen an Relevanz, insbesondere in organisationsübergreifenden Netzwerken. Diese Entwicklungen sind von Suchbewegungen geprägt - nach Orientierung, nach pädagogischen Praktiken, nach einem veränderten professionellen Selbstverständnis und nach ambidextren organisationalen Strukturen, die Suchprozesse unterstützen. Die Monografie bietet Einblicke in diese Suche und leistet so einen Beitrag zu Fragen der Transformation pädagogischer Professionalität und Professionalisierung im digitalen Wandel. No full textOn May the 5th, 1875, Marquis Carlo Alfieri di Sostegno announced the foundation of the School of Social Sciences. In 1877, the School settled permanently in the former convent of Crocette, in via Laura 42. The first years of the School were characterized by relevant financial difficulties, but also by countless successes. Between 1887 and 1909, the number of students enrolled increased from 43 to 87. The number of courses gradually rose from 8 to 19. By March 1909, the Royal Institute had already graduated up to 245 students. During the Italian participation to the World War, the Institute was stressed by the drop in registrations caused. Although at the eve of the fascist seizure of power and of the high education reform launched by Giovanni Gentile, the "Cesare Alfieri" Institute represented a great reality

It is undoubtedly true that tech nology is on a strong and meaningful developmental course in all areas of our lives. It is a situation that shapes our activities, our professions, and our future. However, we need to determine what this technological change means for the archiving profession, what measures to take, and solutions to develop.
The use of information technologies in personal and organisational activities has significantly increased document production. This increase in social and institutional documentation brings about a reshaping of the archiving professional’s future in many different ways. However, the rapid growth in document production does not represent the only aspect of professional change. Document production has been on an upward trend for more than a century. The archival community has become accustomed to this increase in documents.
Moreover, capabilities and techniques to overcome such an increase have been and continue to be developed. The intensive use of information and communication technologies in office environments is not the only area where the archiving profession is affected. It should be noted that document forms and media are also profoundly affected. Due to information and communication technologies, approaches to institutional administrative documents and archival documents preserved in archives have gained a new style regarding physical form and the environment in which they are produced

Biomass Transformation
No full textThe exploitation of biomass resources has resulted in an urgent need to produce energy, fuels, and chemical products to replace traditional fossil-based sources. This Topic highlights a variety of valorization strategies for the production of bio-energy and added-value bio-products. The authors present different approaches, starting from the direct conversion of waste biomasses into energy and then moving towards the production of biofuels and bioproducts, such as bio-ethanol, biodiesel, and corresponding by-products originating from the production chain, while also investigating the catalytic aspects and intensification issues. Biochar production and exploitation are topics that are discussed by many authors in this Topic, optimizing thermochemical synthesis and the corresponding applications, mainly as fuel, soil fertilizer, and adsorbent for environmental pollutants. Lastly, different strategies for the fractionation/conversion of the main biomass components into high-added-value products were investigated, highlighting the synthesis of short-chain fatty acids via anaerobic fermentation, the depolymerization of the lignin component via fast-pyrolysis or oxidative paths, and the extraction of chitin nanowhiskers from crustacean biomass with cheap and sustainable ionic liquids. In summary, this Topic showcases innovative developments in the field of biomass conversion strategies, emphasizing the conversion of waste and alignment with environmental, economic, and social sustainability criteria
