Statistical Inference on Sine-Exponential Distribution Parameter
The Sine-Exponential (Sine-E) distribution is a probability distribu tion that combines the periodic behavior of the sine function with the decay characteristic of the exponential function. This study addresses the problem of identifying the most accurate and reliable estimation method for the parameter of the Sine-E distribution. The objective is to evaluate various parameter estimation techniques, including Maxi-mum Likelihood Estimation (MLE), Least Squares Estimation (LSE), Weighted Least Squares Estimation (WLSE), Maximum Product of Spacing Estimation (MPSE), Cramer-von-Mises Estimation (CVME), and Anderson-Darling Estimation (ADE), using Mean Square Error (MSE) as the criterion for determining the technique with the mini-mum error. The study’s fndings reveal that as sample size increases, the parameter estimates for all techniques converge to the true param eter value, with decreases in bias, MSE, and mean relative estimates. Among the techniques evaluated, the MPSE method consistently pro-vides estimates closest to the true parameter value and exhibits the least bias and lowest MSE across small, moderate, and large sample sizes, making it the best estimator for the Sine-E distributio
The Impact of Artificial Intelligence and Supply Chain Resilience on the Companies Supply Chains Performance: The Moderating Role of Supply Chain Dynamism
In light of the information revolution, this study aims to clarify the impact of artificial intelligence and supply chain resilience on the supply chain performance of engineering, electrical, and information technology companies registered with the Jordan Chamber of Industry. This study expands knowledge by exploring the relationships between artificial intelligence and the moderating supply chain dynamism. This study looks at artificial intelligence as an important resource, in addition to resilience supply chains, an important resource in raising the supply chain performance for companies. The questionnaire was conducted via e-mail and the study sample included (208) companies registered with the Jordanian Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The data was analyzed using the smart (Pls) software and its direct link with artificial intelligence and supply chain resilience. In addition, the analysis shows that there is a direct relationship between the mediating variables supply chain dynamism and supply chain resilience and supply chain performance. These results provide an insight into the relationship between artificial intelligence and supply chains, and the Moderating variable on the performance of a company's supply chains, which may be an entry point for companies to enhance their performance due to the importance of this sector to the Jordanian econom
Role of Macroeconomic Factors, Institutional Quality and Digitalization Towards Performance of Islamic Microfinance Institutions
Islamic microfinance is widely accepted in Muslim-majority countries as Islamic microfinance products are based on Islamic principles. However, despite the extreme need and widespread popularity of Islamic microfinance institutions (IMFI), this sector is lagging behind conventional microfinance institutions with scarce literature to exhibits its performance at country-levels. The success of microfinance institutions is uneven in achieving both objectives, some achieve one objective, either financial or social, while some fail to achieve any objective altogether. In this line, study uses panel data of 35 Islamic microfinance institutions of OIC countries to investigate the impact of macroeconomic, macro institutional factors and digitalization on the financial and social performance of microfinance institutions in OIC countries from 2008 to 2019. The results from Pooled-OLS and System-GMM by using STATA found that macroeconomics and country-level institutional variables have complementary and rivalrous effects in IMFIs. In addition, digitization has a significant impact on the performance of (IMFIs). The study recommends to consider country-level environment and adoption of digitalization in policy making to enhance the simultaneous development of IMFI
Polemic on the Dissolution of Ministries: an Overview of the Presidential System in Indonesia
The purpose of this study is to find out the strengthening of the President's authority and identify polemics that have arisen related to the dissolution of ministries based on a review of Law Number 39, 2008. This study used a normative qualitative approach. The research was conducted at ministry and official agencies, as well as several activists at state studies institutions in the provinces of South-Sulawesi and West-Sulawesi. This research applies legal material collection techniques through documentation or literature studies and interview techniques. The results of the analysis show that in the process of forming a cabinet, good cooperation between the two institutions is needed to reach agreement and consensus. Intense communication and dialogue between the president as the head of the executive and parliament as the legislature helped to reach a consensus on the composition of the cabinet which was considered effective and capable of obtaining sufficient political support. The polemic that occurred was due to the lack of transparency in public participation, as well as collaboration between government agencies in the preparation and ratification of laws and regulation
Implementation of lean manufacturing practices and six-sigma among Malaysian manufacturing SMEs: intention to implement IR 4.0 technologies
Purpose – In this paper, the implementation of lean manufacturing and six sigma practices among Malaysian manufacturing SMEs toward achieving sustainable performance was investigated. Furthermore, intention to implement IR 4.0 technologies among manufacturing SMEs was also examined. Design/methodology/approach – The primary data were collected from 120 manufacturing SMEs across Malaysia using organization as the unit of analysis. The data were collected using the six-point Likert scale questionnaire. Findings – Based on research findings, about 86% Malaysian manufacturing SMEs implement 6s. Nevertheless, lean and 6s has an influence on sustainable performance among Malaysian manufacturing SMEs. Only about 32.5% Malaysian manufacturing SMEs have the intention to implement IR 4.0 technologies. This study results imply that IR 4.0 technologies implementation among Malaysian manufacturing SMEs are still at infant stage though lean and 6s concept is known by the manufacturing SMEs. Research limitations/implications – This study has implications for future researchers to explore application of IR 4.0 technologies among manufacturing SMEs. Therefore, there is need to create awareness about the application of IR 4.0 technologies suitable for manufacturing SMEs in order to remain sustainable for local and foreign competitors. From the perspective of system theory, there is an interconnection network across each department in a whole system. More so, sustainable performance can continuously change and improve the system in any organization. Practical implications – From the view of SMEs policy makers, this study should be use to encourage SMEs to adopt technologically inclined practices. Accordingly, this research recommends government bodies to help support the implementation of sustainable practices due to their sizes and inadequate resources involved. Therefore, the role of government in providing suitable policies that could be beneficial to manufacturing SMEs toward achieving sustainable practices cannot be overlooked. Through proper government support, Malaysian manufacturing SMEs will be able to survive both locally and internationally and also gain competitive advantage. Originality/value – The main contribution of this paper includes integrated effect of lean manufacturing practices and six sigma implementation among manufacturing SMEs and prioritizing implementation of IR 4.0 technologies to be executed by manufacturing SME
Manikam Kalbu: Adat Dan Adab Melayu
Dialektologi Ibanik: Zarah, Gelombang Dan Medan
