Leadership Development Program: The Correlation Between Training Design and Training Transfer Based On the Islamic Perspective
Training management literature highlighted that the leadership development training design consists of two important features:
training content and training method. The ability of the management to appropriately implement such program features may lead to enhanced training transfer in the organizations. Reviews of the literature on leadership development found that the literature is mostly dominated by Western scholar perspectives. Although this relationship has been studied in the Islamic management views, the leadership development training design only contributed little explanation of workplace training programs. Most Islamic scholars in this field of study only discussed conceptually without suggesting a framework that can serve as a guide for the subsequent measurement. Therefore, this study was undertaken to determine the relationship between leadership development training
design and training transfer using questionnaires with 412 leaders in the Malaysian Army Infantry Corps. The path model of SmartPLS
version 3.2.5 results stated that there is a significant relationship between the training content and training transfer, and there is a
significant relationship between the training method and training transfer. These outcomes showed two important findings. Firstly, the relationship between training content significantly correlated with training transfer. Secondly, the relationship between training methods significantly correlated with training transfer. Statistically, this result demonstrates that the leadership development training design acts as an important antecedent of training transfer in organizations. Further, the discussions, implications and conclusion are elaborated
Competitive Creativity Between Talent Management and Service Quality: Evidence from Jordan Information Technology Sector
Talent management encompasses a wide range of human resources management practices aimed at attracting and developing talented employees. This study examines the impact of talent management on service quality in Jordanian information technology companies, focusing on the perspective of talented employees and the role of competitive creativity. Data was collected from 341 employees at thirty different Jordanian companies using stratified random sampling techniques. The collected data was then analyzed using SPSS and AMOS SPSS analysis techniques to test the conceptual framework. The study findings demonstrate a significant positive impact of talent management on improving service quality, mediated through the indirect influence of competitive creativity. Furthermore, the direct effects of talent management practices such as talent attraction and talent succession planning were found to have a significant positive effect on service quality. On the other hand, the study reveals that other talent management practices, such as talent development, have a negative direct effect on service quality. Given that this study is the first to investigate the mediating role of competitive creativity between talent management and service quality in Jordan, the limitations of the study were carefully considered
Forecasting Rainfall Volume in Selangor with A Combined ARIMA Model
Flash flood is the most hazardous type of flooding, mainly caused by extensive rainfall. It also can cause significant harm to a communityβs economy, ecology, and society without warning at an irrational pace. Therefore, this study was conducted to detect the time series element within the rainfall data, select the optimal model, and make predictions about the volume of rainfall in Selangor. A variety of univariate time series models were utilized, including the naΓ―ve model, decomposition model, Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model, exponential models, and combined models. Historical monthly rainfall data collected from Petaling station and Subang station from 2018 to 2022 were used to estimate the parameters of the models, and the model was evaluated for the smallest error of measurements. Previous research mostly focused on complex methodologies for forecasting rainfall. However, this research aimed to identify a simple tool for fast prediction of rainfall. The results showed that the combination of the ARIMA (2,0,3) model from Petaling Station and the ARIMA (4,0,4) model from Subang station were able to capture the trends and seasons in the time series with the lowest error of measurement on short-term predictions of rainfall volume. Furthermore, the study delves into the concept of combined time series models, which are blended using weighted performance measures to enhance prediction accuracy further. The research acknowledges certain limitations of univariate time series models, notably their inability to account for intricate interactions among environmental variables and potential long-term trends, such as those stemming from climate change. Overall, the study explores the potential of combining models to refine predictions for forecasting rainfall volume in Klang Valley
Land Law Perspective On Soil Erosions At Housing Areas In Malaysia
Many landslides occurring in housing areas in Malaysia have intrigued and shocked the Malaysian public. These disasters have caused colossal damage to property and losses of life. It is a trite fact that, in Malaysia, soil problems have negatively impacted the residents' life and property. The most significant soil problem disaster in Malaysia was the collapse of Highland Towers in 1993. This disaster caused pecuniary and non-pecuniary losses to the residents of the buildings. The question is, what can be learnt so far from these land-related catastrophes? The main objective of this paper is to analyse the legal provisions in land law that bear on soil problems in housing areas. This writing aims to explore the weaknesses in the land law and its implementation to provide preventive and curative legal measures against soil problems and their consequences in housing development areas. This writing proposes a new perspective on land legal ideas for governing soil fitness. The author researchers used qualitative social and legal research methodologies to study the facts and issues. The subjects of this research involve many housing development areas that face soil problems in Malaysia. It follows that the outcomes of this paper and its analysis relating to flood disasters in housing areas can enrich knowledge and ideas on how to face the issue and protect the rights of house residents
