Energy rehabilitation of multi-family housing with an emphasis on facade system
The thesis describes the energy renovation of façade of multi-apartment buildings, which were in many cases built as energy-hungry, so the implementation of energy renovation is necessary. The aim of this thesis is to present the key points in the planning of energy rehabilitation of the façade cladding of an multi-apartment building. In the first of the thesis, the applicable legislation in the field of façade systems, the façade systems themselves and the financial incentives of the enviromental Eco Fund for implementation of energy measures are presented.\ud
The second part of the thesis introduces the process of selecting the appropriate façade system on an example of a scyscraper on Gradnikove Brigade 33 street in accordance to the applicable legislation and the conditions for obtaining grants from the enviromental Eco Fund. In the thesis are also presented the solutions of cross-sections on the specific parts of the building, the possibility of condensation of water vapor in the peripheral wall and the specifics regarding the fixation of the façade system on the building
Building of construction elements into a road
Building in of construction elements is a broad term in the civil engineering that we come up against at every turn. In this thesis, we are only describing construction elements for building info the roads. Road construction is considered as one of the more challenging and complex projects where it is necessary to pay a lot of attention to choosing the suitable materials, methods of building in and proper construction elements that meet the project requirements. We must be aware of the fact that the right selection and correct building of construction elements represent basic conditions for safe driving on the roads.\ud
In the thesis, we are describing specific construction elements for building as well as the right methods of construction. In addition to that, the construction is shown with videos. For the majority of the construction elements manufacturers already provide adequate documentation in written form or in the form of short video clips. The aim of my thesis is to collect and publish documentation for building in the construction elements\ud
on the internet and therefore unable updating the material collected by the users of the website. Due to the fact that the video clips are recorded at building sites in different circumstances, it is understandable that all the works are not going according to provisions prescribed by the manufacturers. A Slovenian saying goes: “We learn from our mistakes.” As a result of this thesis, we have introduced certain errors that commonly occur while building in the elements. I hope that my work will contribute to the right building in of construction elements
Professional basis for the development of public infrastructure in the municipality of Brežice
In this graduation thesis a profesional bases for the development of public infrastructure in the municipality Brežice are presented. The area in question is shown and described in the first part of thesis. Strategical and implementation parts of spatial plan are presented within the part concerning things surrounding construction and regulation of the public infrastructure followed by a conducted analysis of cadastre of public infrastructure revolving public infrastructure in the municipality of Brežice. Results are shown in tables and graphs. Ordinance about putting public infrastructure on to building lands and displayed calculations of building land development fee for the chosen objects is analyzed. An example of an implemented investment named as water treatment plant is presented at the end of the thesis. In addition there are descriptions of expected investments in the field of public infrastructure, which are based on strategical plans of municipality of Brežice
Study of the optimal waste management in the company X
Environmental protection is nowadays embedded in almost all spheres of our life, precisely because of the awareness fragility of nature and human health. Therefore, countries are adopting ever stricter environmental policy, which imposes more responsible waste management, which aim is to prevent waste and its reuse, recycling and recovery of waste, with the aim to reduce the amount on landfills and reduce the use of natural resources and the negative impacts on the environment. Company X belongs to a branch, which extent of environmental pollution can be of larger dimensions. Therefore, the Company X is trying to meet the requirements of legislation and lead an active environmental policy with number of successful operations to protect the environment. The waste management hierarchy involves, according to legislation, following the prevention, preparing for re-use, recycling, other recovery operations and waste disposal. Waste management in the company X includes all the procedures of agent handling, via the collector to the recovery or disposal of waste, all the control procedures, documentation and reporting. Technical, organizational and other measures for the waste prevention and reduction and its harmful effects on the environment and human health are regulated by systemic standard procedures of internal rules on waste management. This thesis presents the types of waste generated by the Company X, currently waste management, an overview of energy consumption, atmospheric release of emissions into the air and water, waste growth in the period from 2010 to 2015 and the final evaluation of the environmental impact and emissions and waste reduce precautions. The study has pointed out that the company faces difficulties in dealing with the following types of waste: wooden pallets, plastic barrels, production of halogenated solvents and waste blisters. Currently, the handling is quite successful, but the company strives for new, optimal solutions that would deliver more satisfying results for both the company and the environment
Design of wooden roof of farm building
This thesis covers the verification, whether the existing wooden roof in combination with steel rods complies with all relevant controls in standard Eurocode. It presents the characteristics of the materials used in the structure and determination of external loads on the roof structure such as dead, live, snow and wind load. All static calculations are made by a computer program Sap2000. It has been shown that it is necessary to repair the existing roof structure in order to ensure adequate safety, which is demanded by Eurocodes standards
Operation and maintenance of retention basins in the area of the motorway base Hrušica
Man, with his presence and the use of space, has been changing the Earth's surface and the functioning of the entire biotope. Due to the growing urbanization, drainage coefficients have increased and the possibility of rain water retention on the surface has decreased. Among other things, large interventions in nature are also caused by the construction of motorways. We often deal with a great amount of rainwater coming very quickly from the road surface during heavy rain, which is often quite contaminated and as such unsuitable for release into the natural environment. Therefore, the rainwater from the road surface must first be properly cleaned before discharge, as determined by the applicable law. The type and degree of purification are determined according to the vulnerability of the area where the traffic route runs. Due to the lack of sufficient drainage, it is often necessary to hold\ud
rainwater in reservoirs, where water is partially cleaned and slowly released into the environment. If necessary, additional cleaning of storm water is provided. Recent studies demonstrate the effectiveness of cleaning, represented by the reservoir with additional functions of an oil separator, settlement tank, and a reservoir with ground infiltration. As with all other drainage systems, for efficient operation of these cleaning appliances regular cleaning and maintenance is required
The use of clay building materials in contemporary construction
The thesis describes various uses of clay materials in the construction of residential houses. The characteristics of the clay are described in the context of natural building materials. The following sections explain the technique of building houses by using clay materials. The main purpose of this thesis is to describe the use of clay material as a basic element of structural assemblies. The computer program U-Wert was used to calculate physical properties of heat transfer and vapor diffusion in selected cases of structural assemblies. Analyses showed that the house, built of clay and other natural materials is energy efficient and complies with all the requirements of the current Slovenian legislation. Characteristics of thermal insulation and protection against moisture are comparable to\ud
other modern building materials. It is evident clay houses are adequate with ecological standards about transport, recycling and energy saving

Water is an important source of life. Not only as a building block for organisms, but also as their habitat. Because of this, the use of bioengineering techniques in fields of water management is becoming more common. Bioengineering techniques are techniques, that meet the hydraulic requirements, while maintaining or increasing the biodiversity. In this thesis I planned the restoration of the overflow channel Ara, which discharges the high waters of river Rižana into the brackish part of Škocjanski zatok nature reserve, with the use of bioengineering techniques
A conceptual solution for the discharging and treatment of waste water in the area of the village of Rašica
The thesis presents the process of designing the discharge of waste water in the village of Rašica where there is no public sewerage system. In order to address the needs of both existing and new residential properties with issued project terms, a public sewerage of municipal waste water with a combined small biological treatment plant with discharge into an open watercourse is proposed. Considering the accessibility of the terrain and its altitude, a gravity sewer is the suggested as the most economical and easiest to maintain. The placement of pumping stations is proposed for areas below the altitude of the public sewerage system. For the purpose of providing a solution, the design of the sewerage system and the method of hydraulic calculation for the sewerage system network are presented in the thesis. The hydraulic calculations for individual pumping stations have been made in accordance with this method, along with a description of the implementation
The influence of reinforcing bar diameter on bond between rebar and concrete
In this graduation thesis I captured investigation studies in the field of bond stress between reinforcement bars and concrete. Investigations were carried out in accordance with standard SIST EN 10080: 2005 on normal and high strength concrete. A steel reinforcing bar with a diameter of 20 mm was inserted into a standardized mold. We created an appropriate anchor length with a rubber tube. We then poured both types of concrete into molds. Test specimens were stored for 28 days in water and, after that, we made the pull-out test. With the help of the testing device we pulled the reinforcing bars out of the concrete and recorded the data at the same time. The data was edited and shown in a graph, which shows the bond stress according to the slip between the bar and the surrounding concrete. In conclusion, the results were compared with those obtained from the bars with diameters of 12 mm. A comparison of pull-out tests carried out on the bars of 12 and 20 mm have shown that, with the use of high strength concrete, the diameter of the bars does not affect the bond between the reinforcement and the concrete
