The analysis of the cadastral project at the international border crossing Sočerga
An important part of surveying services is related to the construction of buildings, which is the content of this thesis. The thesis deals with the part of the surveying services during the construction of buildings, as regulated in Slovenia; the focus is primarily on the operations of the cadastral pre editing and recording the new situation in the official real estate records. The analysis of the legal framework and procedures of surveying services involves the various phases of the construction project. This is especially emphasized in the preparation of the surveying basis for the purposes of project documentation, project implementation and registration of the final state in surveying records. As a practical example, a project of surveying works at the international border crossing Sočerga, is presented. The project includes cadastral surveying and other work in the cadastral editing area of the border crossing and the building and recording of a new facility at the site in the land cadastre and buildings cadastre
Feasibility of establishing of 3D-building cadastre based on data acquisition by UAV
In the diploma thesis, the Slovenian land administration system as well as global trends in this area are presented, where the importance of establishing of a 3D real property cadastre is outlined. Here, challenges in the field of mass data acquisition using UAV are discussed. Nowadays, unmanned aerial vehicles are found in different areas, including land survey profession, where measurement carried out by unmanned aerial vehicles, are becoming more and more common way of spatial data acquisition.\ud
The thesis presents this technology, describing the process of surveying, as well as the processing of the acquired data in a variety of software tools. The point cloud is generated, based on which was made a 3D-model of a residential house.\ud
The ultimate goal of this study is to determine whether the data, acquired in such a manner, is sufficient in quality and precision for the feasibility of establishing of 3D-building cadastre. Furthermore, the results of data acquired using unmanned aerial vehicles are compared with data from the land cadastre
Sensitivity analysis of HDM-4 pavement detrioration models
The sensitivity of road deterioration and maintenance prediction to variation of individual input parameters, are classified according to their impact elasticity in “Highway Development and Maintenance Management Model” HDM-4 version 2 Volume, which was developed by World Bank.\ud
As classification presented in the documentation is more or less qualitative the aim of this thesis is to quantify elasticity of some of the most important parameters.\ud
In this research sensitivity analyzed of the deterioration parameters which have been already classified in HDM-4 Volume 5 Sensitivity Class I, is provided.\ud
As described by Mrawire et al. (1998), there are different approaches which can be used for undertaking sensitivity analysis. The way we are following here is the Traditional Ceteris Paribus (TCP) method in which by changing single input parameters and holding other parameters to be unchanged, the impact elasticity will be calculated. Impact elasticity is the ratio of the percentage change of specific result by the percentage change to individual input parameters of the pavement deterioration models. (HDM-4 V5)\ud
This study is executed by the using of the project analysis of the HDM-4 application using TCP method, and then the results are used to find the impact elasticity which is used for sensitivity ranking. The assessment of economic level of leakage in water supply systems
The aim of every operator of public water supply is to reduce water losses or non-revenue water to an adequate level. Until now, this level in Slovenia has been defined as the proportion of non-revenue water with regard to the extracted amount of it. However, the targeted values have been defined by guidelines on the national and on the level of the European Union, wherein not enough attention has been paid to dealing with the process of reducing water losses from the economic standpoint.\ud
As a concept, water losses are inadequately defined in technical literature. The Master’s thesis deals with the actual losses that are expressed as leakages due to defects on the public water supply, although it is necessary to aim at reducing the total amount of non-revenue water. The economic level of leakage is achieved by balancing the costs that occur when reducing leakage and the savings from directing the realisation of this process (reducing the amount of drinking water leakage). Fundamentally, costs are divided into the Short Run ELL and the Long Run ELL. To determine the SRELL, costs of active leakage control and water costs are included in the calculation, while to determine the LRELL, costs of pipe replacements and investment maintenance, as well as water costs are taken into account. To determine the Short Run and the Long Run Economic Level of Leakage, mainly the method of total costs and the method of marginal costs are used.\ud
The aim of the thesis is to combine economic standpoints with the practice of management of water supply systems and then determine the economic level of leakage with a practical example. The purpose is to detect potential problems with the calculation and on the basis of the obtained ELL value determine the guidelines on how to actually achieve the economic level of leakage or of the whole amount of non-revenue water
Evaluation of position of intermunicipal centre in municipal spatial plans
The main focus in my thesis is given to the position and influence of certain inter-municipal centers in Slovenia. The methodological approach is based on a comparison of data and evaluation of the two sets of indicators that have been developed within the framework of the European project Conspace. The set consists of indicators measuring regional development and assessment of spatial structures and indicators for the identification and measurement of spatial potentials. Based on the hypothesis that the position of inter-municipal center in the urban system is closely connected to the transport accessibility, which remains one of the main factors of development of functional areas despite lacking importance of physical distances, in the paper all the important elements of regional development and spatial development potentials were studied. The values achieved for thirteen intermunicipal centers were evaluated with points, which determines the order of the centers. After merging the obtained results and ranking further evaluation of the situation of inter-municipal centers in terms of transport accessibility was carried out. The results showed that the position of centres in the transport network match the final categories according to 51 indicators: the development of the most dynamic centers have the most favorable access and the most favorable transport position relative to the other compared centers. These centres will (may / probably) be the future bearers of development and strengthening of its role in the region. Center that will be able to exploit the good traffic location and links with other settlements and the region, which will promote an adequate demographic and socio-economic structure, and those who strive and promote healthy natural and rich cultural environment, will be able to successfully compete with other centers of similar rank. This will allow people a higher level of prosperity and become increasingly attractive to live and work
The impact of energy remedial measures on indicators of the energy performance certificate
As part of this graduation thesis I examined the impact of different energy remedial measures on energy efficiency indicators in the case of the selected residential building and considered the current method of classification of buildings in the energy classes. I calculated the values of energy indicators with the help of software tools TOST. First I calculated the values of the energy indicators in the exisiting (initial) state. In doing so, I took into account three energy sources for heating - heating by extra light fuel oil, by biomass and by electricity (heat pump). I considered different types of efficiency for each type of aforementioned energy sources because I wanted to check the influence on the efficiency of particular heating systems. Then I chose the most efficient energy remedial measures and used them in the recalculation of energy indicators. I compared the results with results at the initial state. I have found that energy remedial measures affects on the reduction of all four energy indicators (heat required annualy, annual input of energy, annual primary energy and CO2 emissions). The choice of energy source does not only affect on the annual need of energy for heating. Because the\ud
current system of classification of buildings is created only on the basis of thevalue of the necessary energy for heating and it does not include the influence of the choice of the energy source, I made two versions of the mprovements for complementing the existing method of classification
Modelling of solid earth tides in 3D positioning points of the combined geodetic network
In this diploma thesis, we present the impact of solid Earth tides on the 3D point position modification of the new combined 0. order geodetic network. We described the purpose of point establishing and stabilization as well as the intended equipment to be installed at five points of the combined 0. order geodetic network . We also introduced a basic theoretical background of solid Earth tides, described different models of tides and emphasized the accountability of solid Earth tides in conjunction of terrestrial coordinate system with vertical coordinate system. We modelled the solid Earth tides on the example of two points of the 0. order network, Areh and Prilozje. We have shown the 3D position modification and the modifications of the gravitational acceleration which occurs due to the impact of celestial bodies attraction. The modifications are shown for two different seasons. We found out that the solid Earth tides have greater impact on the position modification during summertime when there\ud
are also the amplitudes of up to about 35 cm of the vertical component. It is also important that the area of Slovenia has no effect on modifications due to solid Earth tide or it is minimal
Comparison of geodial heights in test polygon Krvavec
In the graduation thesis we compared geoidal heights interpolated from Slovenian national geoid model SLOG2000, preliminary calculations of new model SLOG2010 and global geopotential model EGM2008, on the southern slope of Krvavec. Also compared are geoidal heights calculated from GPS measurements and trigonometric levelling. In the thesis we also present theoretical basics of height systems, geoid and different methods of geoid determination. We described the specific geoid models used and calculated deviations of those from »measured« values, then evaluated them by quality. On the basis of measurements we calculated the local geoid plane as a regression surface
Cadastrial boundary determination in administrative and judical proceedings
The thesis presents separate parts from the land cadaster. The first part presents the role and importance of the land cadaster in modern society. The second part is focused on the entire process of boundary determination in the administration procedure. The third part is focused on judicial procedure of boundary determination and the role of law court and the role of surveying cadastral expert. The paper presents also the current legislation from the field of registration of real property
Cost and time analysis of cunstruction of petroleum tanks
The point in construction is that the project is completed in shortest possible period of time and, of course with minimal additional costs. In this graduation thesis it`s described one of the major construction projects on the Slovenian coast, namely the construction of tanks for petroleum products. The graduation thesis analyzes the deviation of the vontractual schedule and contractual estimate fot the construction of reservoirs R21, R22 and R23. Changes in the project which led to the time lag between construction and unexpected costs was described in detail, as well as the breakdown of labor, because at the facility involving several subcontractors, which represented additional obstacle in work.
