The use of social return on investment approaches to evaluate integrated long-term care in high-income countries : A scoping review
The increasing number of older adults with complex care needs underscores the urgent need for improved coordination between health and social services, emphasizing the importance of integrated care models. The Social Return on Investment (SROI) framework is a valuable tool for evaluating the social, economic, and environmental impact of healthcare interventions, including integrated long-term care (LTC) solutions. However, a gap remains in reviews specifically analyzing its application to integrated LTC interventions
You Won’t Break My Soul : eine intersektionale Kartierung von Beyoncés Stimme mit Perspektiven für die Musikpädagogik
The aim of this article is to analyze Beyoncé’s voice through an intersectional lens, exploring how it makes asymmetrical power dynamics in society visible. To this end, her voice is examined across four dimensions: voice as sound, voice as cultural positioning, voice as language/multilingualism, and voice as message. The analysis also considers the ambivalences in Beyoncé’s artistic persona, acknowledging how her voice simultaneously resists and at times reinforces dominant cultural norms—an aspect that invites critical engagement in educational contexts. The article concludes by discussing perspectives for music education in the German context, using Kumashiro’s framework, with Beyoncé’s music as a case study.
Note from guest editors
As co-chairs of the Scientific Committee for the 2024 IIPF Congress in Prague, we had the opportunity to engage closely with an impressive range of research in public economics. In keeping with IIPF tradition, we also served as guest editors for this special issue of International Tax and Public Finance, which features selected contributions from the Congress. This editorial note offers an overview of the conference theme—international tax sheltering and inequality—and highlights the keynote lectures, prize-winning papers, and summarizes the papers published in this special issue

Prevalence and risk factors of suicidal ideation amongst unaccompanied young refugees : a machine learning approach
Background
Suicidality is a major public health concern worldwide. Evidence on the prevalence and risk factors of suicidality amongst unaccompanied young refugees (UYRs), a population already at risk for mental health disorders, is scarce.
Methods
Given the complexity of individual risk factor constellations influencing suicidality, machine learning (ML) methods offer a statistical approach that can detect complex relations within the data. Four ML classifiers, (logistic regression (LR), random forest (RF), support vector machines (SVM), and extreme gradient boosting (XGB)) were trained on a dataset of n = 623 UYRs (M age =16.77, SD = 1.34, range: 12–21), retrieved from the large-scale randomized controlled trial Better Care to predict suicidal ideation. Features used in the classifiers were age, gender, asylum status, having contact with the family, and whether parents are alive as well as clinically elevated post-traumatic stress symptoms (PTSS), depressive symptoms and past suicide attempts. The classifiers were then tested on the independent dataset of n = 94 UYRs (M age =16.31, SD = 2.03, range: 5–21) retrieved from the screening tool porta project to examine their predictive performance.
Results
The prevalence of past-week suicidal ideation in the combined sample of N = 717 was 18.13%. All classifiers yielded good predictive performance (accuracy 0.734–0.840, sensitivity 0.857, AUC 0.853–0.880). The most relevant features were past suicide attempts, PTSS and depressive symptoms as risk factors, and having a living mother as protective factor.
Conclusions
Suicidal ideation is prevalent amongst UYRs, and using ML approaches, the classifiers were able to classify roughly 85% of the cases with suicidal ideation in the past week correctly as suicidal. Building on the findings of this study, screening for suicidality could be further improved by implementing ML classifiers in the assessment to highlight potential at risk cases early, and suitable interventions be developed

Improving access to evidence-based treatment for trauma-exposed children and youth : an International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies Briefing Paper
Take Home Messages for Policy and Practice:
• Depending on factors such as the type and frequency of trauma exposure and level of
social support available, most children and youth who experience a traumatic event
will either not develop difficulties or will recover from initial difficulties. However, a
significant minority will require professional support, and it is crucial that all
professionals working with children and youth can effectively identify and support
those who may be struggling.
• Trauma and stress-related disorders are some one of the most commonly treated
disorders in child and adolescent mental health services in many countries. It is vital
that services actively plan and implement strategies to improve identification of need
and access to evidence-based mental health care for trauma-related disorders.
• If left unaddressed trauma and stress-related disorders can have a major impact on a
child’s developmental trajectory, with personal, family, social, and economic
consequences that can be lifelong. We know that more vulnerable groups (e.g.
children in poverty, refugee or asylum-seeking children, those in child welfare
settings) are often the least likely to have access to evidence-based care.
• Routine screening for traumatic events and trauma-related disorders by health
professionals is key to providing access to trauma-focused treatments. Screening
should include validating the child’s experiences, assessing safety, and securing
evidence-based treatment (EBT) if needed.
• There are effective, feasible, and efficient EBTs for trauma-exposed children and
youth that reduce posttraumatic stress symptoms and co-morbid disorders such as
depression. These treatments are usually short-term (several weeks or months) and
always address the trauma directly.
• There are common elements across trauma-focused EBTs (TF-EBTs), including:
establishing a strong therapeutic alliance, providing psychoeducation, enhancing
recovery skills, processing trauma memories, and altering maladaptive cognitions.
With the exception of trauma memory processing these are also common treatments
for other types of mental disorders and can thus be easily learned and implemented
by professionals.
• Available evidence supports talking about trauma and processing trauma memories
during treatment. Concerns about these treatment methods “retraumatising” children
and youth are unfounded.
• Once a mental health specialist has received sufficient training in a trauma-focused
EBT and if they can access ongoing supervision, their prior clinical experience,

therapeutic background, or educational level are no longer significant factors in
successfully implementing the treatment.
• Key options for improving access to evidence-based care include enhancing multisystem collaboration, broadening training opportunities, task shifting, and setting up
services to consider accessibility from the outset and build bridges between youth,
families, and providers
High-order uniformly accurate time integrators for semilinear wave equations of Klein–Gordon type in the non-relativistic limit
We introduce a family of high-order time semi-discretizations for semilinear wave equations of Klein–Gordon type with arbitrary smooth nonlinearities that are uniformly accurate in the non-relativistic limit where the speed of light goes to infinity. Our schemes do not require pre-computations that are specific to the nonlinearity and have no restrictions in step size. Instead, they rely upon a general oscillatory quadrature rule based on Gauss summation which was previously developed by the authors
Mindspacing and Play : Indie Games in the Context of Mental Health Depiction
Previous research has shown that AAA video games tend to exploit and marginalize themes of mental illness. Indie games, however, have not been adequately discussed in this context. Hence, the present essay examines how indie games practice de/marginalization by strategically thematizing the mind, mental health, and mental illness. To move beyond the field’s question of supposedly better or more authentic representation, a specific focus of the analysis is the question of mindspacing, i.e. how the titles examined co-position and relate the elements of mind and space in their production of playful worlds. The recent titles Shrinking Pains (2018), The Longest Walk (2022) and The Psychotic Bathtub (2024), dealing with anorectic, depressive and psychotic experiences respectively, reveal the counterhegemonic potential of indie games not just to present different stories about mental health but to reimagine culturally dominant forms of pla
