Mechatronic Rehabilitation System for Upper Limbs
Currently there is great interest in the development of machines that meet the demand to rehabilitate the upper and lower extremities, due to injuries caused by strokes, traumatic incidents or accidents, neuromuscular diseases, which are increasing day by day. The objective of this work is to present the kinematic analysis of an upper limb rehabilitation machine for patients who suffered a stroke. The rehabilitation machine has 3 degrees of freedom (DOF), uses a flexible cable, and can provide shoulder movements: flexion-extension, external rotation, abduction; and elbow flexion movements, among others. The kinematic analysis of some basic movements is presented by means of vector loop analysis. In addition, the simulation results in the MSC Adams environment show that the rehabilitation machine can provide smooth passive rehabilitation movements
Optimization of the distribution process of business in the Gamarra comercial emporium
The objective of this research is to optimize the distribution process in the businesses of a gallery in the Gamarra commercial emporium, Peru, by analyzing its current situation. To do so, a methodology was used that included a semi-structured interview with the owner of one of the stores, as well as the development of a mathematical model that allows the evaluation of current costs and, with it, project the benefits of implementing logistics management software with telematics technology. As a result, it was found that the implementation of the software, together with the outsourcing of the distribution process, could reduce costs by 30% compared to the current situation, which would imply a substantial improvement in the AS IS situation of many of these businesses. However, limitations were identified, such as the reluctance of stores to provide data, as well as the need for a complementary plan to ensure that the estimated results are achievable. This plan includes training strategies in the use of the software, continuous monitoring of its impact and adaptation of the processes according to the specific needs of each store

Humor and violence in literature from Ciudad Juárez. Humor of bones and sand
In this article we analyze the different types of humor in Juárez literature and how it has sometimes been a relevant element to show the different types of violence that Ciudad Juárez suffers. Far from minimizing the social conflicts that turn the border into a mythical territory to locate all kinds of stories, here we will comment on some works where violence is contemplated with irony and sarcasm, generally to underline the resilience of the citizens of Juárez as well as the disaffection or contempt for them that this city suffers from the rulers. To do this, we will take the poetry and narrative of authors such as Arminé Arjona, Miguel Ángel Chávez or Willivaldo Delgadillo, as examples of those who, through laughter, have created a contemporary portrait of this city.
