Get PDFABSTRACT: Pricing and pricing policies are one of the main components of international marketing, as they provide the greatest possible return on product sales. Prices are in close correlation with other market elements and other tools of the company's marketing complex. Prices often change over the life of the product. Because groups of products with different prices can attract different market segments. Among the many components that characterize the world market situation, the price is the most important indicator, the movement of which reflects changes in the volume of production and supply of products on the market, consumer demand and consumption levels, changes in stocks of goods, etc. All this shows that for the success of the foreign market it is necessary to develop an adequate pricing policy. It should be constantly checked for effectiveness and changed depending on the circumstances.
РЕЗЮМЕ: Цените и ценовата политика са един от главните компоненти в международната маркетингова дейност, тъй като осигуряват възможно най-голяма печалба от реализацията на продукта. Цените са в тясна взаимовръзка с другите елементи на пазара и с другите инструменти на маркетинговия комплекс на фирмата. Цените често се променят в продължение на жизнения цикъл на продукта. Защото групи от продукти с различни цени могат да привличат различни пазарни сегменти.
Сред множеството компоненти, характеризиращи конюнктурата на световния пазар, цената се явява най-важен акумулиращ показател, чието движение отразява промените в обема на производството и предлагането на продуктите на пазара, потребителското търсене и нивото на потребление, промените в запасите от стоки и т.н.. Всичко това показва, че за успех на външния пазар е необходимо да се разработва адекватна ценова политика. Тя следва постоянно да се проверява за ефективност и да се променя в зависимост от обстоятелствата

Get PDFThe paper analyzes an inscription from the region pf Smyrna, dated circa late 2nd – early 3rd c. AD. The poetic text seems to present a catalogue of prohibitions in a mystery cult of Dionysos Bromios. Following the conclusions of the excellent analyses, done by Nilson, Keil and Sokolowski, the mystery rite is interpreted as having Bachic, Orphic and Pythagorean character. The prohibitions concern entering the temenos after abortion or being in contact with dead, and some prohibitions of food – egg, heart, embryo, kyamoi etc. Special attention is paid on the prohibition of “… the most hated smelly root of the kyamoi form the seed of the Titans …”. As the seeds of the Broad Bean, that is usually considered when kyamos is mentioned, has no smell, the author suggests that another kyamos is referred here – the Hyoscyamus, the Henbane. This plant is not belonging to the bean family; it has a very unpleasant smell and is strongly hallucinogenic. It is referred as “a seed of Typhon” and very probable is considered in many of the Pythagorean, Eleusinian and Orphic prohibitions about the kyamoi. The plant is well studied by the ancient Greek pharmacologists; there is an abundant evidence for its medicinal, ritual and festal use in Antiquity. It is suggested that this public prohibition concerns the pre-initiation fast, while the initiation ritual included the mentioned realia. Especially the seeds of the Henbane could have been used as an agent of the mystery visions that are usual part of the mystery experience of the epoptai – those who watch/observe

What are the specific features of clientelism in Southeast Europe and in Bulgaria, in particular? How clientelism in Bulgaria has been transformed during different historical periods? Which are the main spheres of manifestation in the everyday life? These are the main research questions in this paper. The focuse is mainly on the period of socialism and post-socialist development. Political clientelism (the power of distinct political "clans" under socialism and their economic and political influence after the end of that era) is discussed, but also the everyday clientelism and opportunities for its transformation into corruption. Based on empirical data, the “use of social networks” and “social capital” are differenciated from clientelism (defined as "the use of public resources for private benefit") on the one hand, and of relations of patronage – on the other
