    No full text
This research is a mini case study to find out whether the Main Director's decision making in a company is also inseparable from the framing effect and explores the effect of self-efficacy possessed by a "superior" which influences the policies he makes. In Prospect Theory which observes the phenomenon of human behavior, especially in decision making. Prospect Theory predicts that the decisions a person takes will depend on information that is framed so that they can see it from only one. The method used in this research is a case study by conducting short interviews to explore the results and obtain the required data or information. Several studies on the framing effect and self-efficacy refer to the choice of investment form. However, this research explores the effects of the streaming effect and self-efficacy experienced by the President Director in making decisions and establishing policies within the company. The results of this research show that there is a framing effect and a self-efficacy effect in company policy making carried out by the President Director

Addressing Femicide As Gender-Based Violence Trend Through Judicial Proceedings And Or Non-Judicial Proceedings: Indonesian Perspective

    No full text
Femicide is addressed as one of the extreme trends of Gender-based Violence. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes 2022 explained that gender inequality, unequal power dynamics, and detrimental social norms all contribute to Violence against women and girls, which is a severe violation of human rights. National Woman Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (so-called Komnas Perempuan), in their report on 2021, started the report by saying that Femicide is not recognised in the national or local laws of Indonesia, as well as in the data collection related to the murder of women at the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Police of the Republic of Indonesia. Cases of murder against women are handled as criminal offences in general. Therefore, disaggregated data on female homicide is not available at Bareskrim. Komnas Perempuan categorises Femicide based on the intent of the killing into two types: (1) direct Femicide and (2) indirect Femicide. Indonesian Legal Framework cannot be directed to be explicitly forced to the case of Femicide in Indonesia. However, Indonesian Laws and regulations may have perspectives in it. Komnas Perempuan, in their early analysis and working paper, encourages the integration of Femicide cases for national policy advocacy, urging stakeholders to follow recommendations for violence elimination, victim justice and safe places. This paper needs to examine how the judicial proceedings and non-judicial proceedings in Indonesia handle the cases of Femicide. The role of education and willingness to reconstruct the laws of gender-based violation for Femicide cases as the hypothesis

From Normative to Reflective Collectivism: Discourses on Rewang Across Generations in Javanese Society

    No full text
This study stems from the limitations of previous studies, which have focused more on the tradition of rewang from the perspectives of gender, urbanization, or symbolic representation, but have not explicitly linked it to the framework of cultural psychology. This article offers a cross-generational discourse analysis to understand how rewang is interpreted by the Baby Boomer and Generation Z generations in Javanese society. We argue that the subject positions produced through the discourse of rewang show a shift from normative collectivism—characterized by unquestioned obligations, rigid social norms, and moral demands—towards reflective collectivism, where participation is negotiated through personal agency, flexibility, and digital mediation. Based on qualitative data from three Baby Boomer women, 20 Generation Z participants, and digital content analysis (YouTube and TikTok), this study identifies four main discourses that support the construction of rewang: social connectedness and identity, gender norms, moral obligations, and harmony. These findings show that rewang continues to function as an arena for collective identity formation, but with a discourse logic that is increasingly diverse and adaptive to cross-generational value changes

In 2022, the burden of TB in the world was 10,556,328. The incidence of tuberculosis in Indonesia in 2021 was 969,000. The increase in TB incidence in 2021 was 18%. WHO has set a global target and milestone to reduce the incidence of TB by the end of 2030, as well as the Indonesian Ministry of Health. TB can be prevented with the BCG vaccine. BCG avoids phagosome maturation, autophagy, and reduces MHC-II expression of APCs that affect T cell activation by triggering an IgM antibody response, class-switched IgG, to specific proteins ESAT6 and CFP10. Protein subunit vaccines are an option to induce an immune response. Antigens recognized by cells during latent infection and involved in immunological evasion mechanisms or the emergence of CD4+ and CD8+ specific T cells are potential targets. One of these approaches is the incorporation of molecules capable of interacting with PRRs to recognize PAMPs. TLR is found in APC. The recognition of PAMPs by TLRs can result in the expression of co-stimulation molecules as well as the expression of proinflammatory cytokines, TNF-α, COX-2, and interferon associated with the development of adaptive immune responses by B and T lymphocytes. This project aims to determine the possibility of epitopes from protein AGJ68032.1 to be TB vaccine by comparing the results of docking epitope-TLR2 with TLR2-ESAT6. The material used in this project is protein AGJ68032.1 virulence factor Mce family protein [Mycobacterium tuberculosis str. Beijing/NITR203]. The steps were carried out: search for fasta AGJ68032.1, protein similarity test against Mycobacterium tuberculosis protein, determine the location of proteins, search for protein characteristics, find the location of all proteins, search for Bcell epitope, search for Tcell epitope (MHC class 2), epitope similarity test from MHC class 2 with homo sapiens, antigenecity test, allergenicity test, search for the 3D shape of each epitope-TLR2-ESAT-6, molecular docking TLR2 with ESAT-6 and TLR 2 with epitope and comparing the result data Docking. Epitope protein AGJ68031.1 (FAGDDVRIRGVPVGKIVKIEPQPLRAKVSFW) has high potential to be used as a tuberculosis vaccine candidate because the docking results with TLR have a HADDOCK score of -152.5 +/- 7.3 and an RSMD value that is close to the HADDOCK score and the RSMD TLR2 value with ESAT6

Instagram is one of the most widely used social media platforms, particularly among late adolescents, with 86.6% of global internet users actively engaging on the platform. Adolescents often hesitate to reveal their authentic selves online, instead curating idealized or false versions of themselves to seek acceptance, admiration, and positive impressions from their followers, which may carry adverse psychological consequences. This study investigates the influence of parental acceptance-rejection on adolescents’ online self-presentation on Instagram. Using a quantitative cross-sectional survey, data were collected from 207 adolescents (84.06% were female) aged 18 to 21 years. Participants completed the Parental Acceptance-Rejection Questionnaire (PARQ) and a modified Self-Presentation on Facebook Questionnaire (SPFBQ). Multiple regression analysis revealed that parental acceptance-rejection does not significantly predict adolescents’ presentasi diri daring Although parental acceptance-rejection plays important roles in adolescents’ socioemotional development, these factors do not appear to directly influence how they portray themselves on social media. The implications and limitations of these findings are further discussed

Raising Awareness of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Using Revin the Environment Hero Serious Game for Elementary Schoolers

    Get PDF
Indonesia faces a significant environmental challenge with rising annual waste production, reaching 69.7 million tonnes in 2023, yet only 62.91% was properly managed. This problem stems from a lack of awareness about proper waste management, especially among children. To address this issue, this study developed Revin the Environment Hero, a serious game designed to enhance elementary school students' understanding of the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Employing a Research & Development approach with the ADDIE model, the game was tested with 40 elementary students in Surabaya. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires assessed the game's effectiveness, and a Paired Sample T-Test showed a significant improvement in students' 3R knowledge (t-value = -12.637, p < 0.001). Feedback revealed high satisfaction with the game’s engaging narrative, interactive mechanics, and clear instructions. The game not only increased students’ theoretical knowledge but also encouraged practical application of the 3R principles through creative recycling activities. These findings demonstrate the potential of serious games as effective educational tools for promoting environmental awareness and sustainable behaviors in young learners. Future studies should expand respondent diversity and include additional features, such as varied challenges and adjustable difficulty levels, to further enhance educational outcomes

Deepfake and Electoral Crimes: Criminal Law Perspectives from Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and the U.S.

    No full text
Deepfake technology, an advanced AI-driven tool capable of creating hyper-realistic synthetic media, provides significant challenges in political campaigns and election integrity. As the use of deepfakes in elections rises, concerns about their potential to spread misinformation and manipulate voter perception become increasingly urgent. This study examines the criminal law approaches to deepfakes in political campaigns across Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and the United States. Using a normative legal research method, this paper analyzes relevant laws, regulations, and legal frameworks governing deepfake misuse in elections. A comparative approach is employed to assess legal responses in different jurisdictions, identifying gaps and challenges in addressing the issue effectively. Findings reveal that while Indonesia relies on broader legal provisions, such as the ITE Law and Personal Data Protection Law, there are no specific regulations targeting deepfake manipulation in elections. Similarly, India and Pakistan address deepfake-related offenses through existing cyber and penal laws, whereas the U.S. has taken a more proactive approach with state-level legislation criminalizing deepfake election interference. This research highlights the need for more comprehensive legal frameworks to mitigate the risks of deepfakes in electoral processes and ensure democratic integrity

Developing and validating a scale for assessing job net value: A case study of Generation Z employees

    No full text
Orientation: Voluntary employee turnover, particularly among Generation Z employees, is a growing concern due to their higher mobility and evolving workplace expectations. Understanding how these employees evaluate the value of current versus alternative job opportunities is crucial for improving turnover prediction and management. Research purpose: This study aimed to develop and validate the Alternative Job Net Value (AJNV) scale, a tool designed to measure the perceived net utility of present jobs versus job alternatives among Generation Z employees. Motivation for the study: Existing turnover models lack precise measurements of how employees assess their current positions against external opportunities. Addressing this gap is essential for organisations aiming to predict and reduce voluntary turnover among Generation Z. Research approach/design and method: Using an explanatory mixed‑methods design, the study began with qualitative interviews to identify key factors influencing turnover, leading to the creation of an initial 28‑item scale. The scale was refined through validity assessments and factor analyses. The final AJNV scale includes two subscales measuring the expected utility of the present job and job alternatives. Main findings: The AJNV scale showed strong construct validity and reliability for the present job subscale and moderate reliability for job alternatives. It captures factors such as career development, rewards, and organisational policies that influence turnover intentions among Generation Z. Practical/managerial implications: The AJNV scale offers organisations a diagnostic tool to assess turnover risk by comparing employees’ perceived value of current and alternative jobs, aiding retention strategies. Contribution/value-add: This study contributes to turnover research by providing a psychometrically robust tool for measuring job alternatives’ comparative value
