Pengendalian Pengelolaan Sampah Indonesia dalam Perspektif Hukum: Studi Banding Peraturan Pengelolaan Sampah di Singapura (Indonesia’s Waste Management Control in Legal Perspectives: Comparative Studies to Singapore’s Waste Management Regulation)
Waste management as part of sustainable development has been an issue, especially in Indonesia. Every year Indonesia produces 68,7 tons of waste every year and will accumulate every year. This paper aims to analyze how the development of laws and the improvement of waste management go hand in hand in Indonesia. This research is done through comparative analysis, which combines qualitative and quantitative data to gain understanding through comparison of laws in other countries about regulation on waste management, either by data or interpretation of other literature. Previous research regarding the connection of a country's wealth with accumulation of waste shows that there has to be an active contribution made by the government to keep waste accumulation on a controllable scale. The effort relies upon the introduction of effective waste management (collection, recycling, waste culture). This research will analyze how Singapore can have a successful management in waste especially by the regulation control. These comparative studies summarize that to reach a sustainable way of managing waste in Indonesia there has to be an active effort to develop effective regulation
Factors Influencing QRIS Adoption in Warkops
Background: The rapid advancement of technology has significantly transformed how individuals interact, work, shop, and communicate. In Indonesia, digital payment systems have gained prominence, and the Quick Response Indonesian Standard (QRIS) has emerged as an important method for transactions in traditional coffee shops or Warkops (short for Warung Kopi).
Purpose: This study explores the factors that influence the adoption of QRIS as a digital payment method in, focusing on subjective norms, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, perceived security, risk, anxiety, and comfort.
Design/methodology/approach: We utilized a quantitative approach. Using purposive sampling in Warkops, we collected data from 230 respondents through a structured survey. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS).
Findings/Results: The analysis reveals that attitude, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness significantly impact the intention to use QRIS. In contrast, perceived security, risk, anxiety, and comfort do not significantly affect the intention to adopt QRIS.
Conclusion: Warkop, aiming to enhance customer convenience and transaction efficiency, should consider adopting QRIS, as psychological and social factors play a crucial role in its adoption.
Originality/value: This research contributes to the academic literature by emphasizing the role of subjective and psychological factors in digital payment adoption. It provides a foundation for future studies to investigate QRIS adoption in different contexts
The Responsibility of a Notary Regarding the Cancellation of a Notarial Deed Containing a Pretended Agreement Based on a Decision from the District Court
There are various ways a person can obtain land rights, including borrowing and borrowing by handing over land rights as collateral. The lending party also makes a power of sale agreement and follows up on the sale and purchase agreement. When the borrower breaks the contract, the lending party approaches the PPAT to have a sale and purchase deed drawn up and registered with the Land Office for name change purposes. The method used is normative juridical with a statutory regulation approach, concept approach and case approach. The research results obtained: The land sale agreement made before the PPAT is not the same as in fact it does not have legal force, does not meet objective requirements, so the result is that it is null and void/is considered non-existent. PPATs that make pseudo-agreements do not apply the precautionary principle in making deeds, namely acting untrustworthy, dishonest, not thorough, not independent, taking sides, and not safeguarding the interests of the parties involved in legal actions. The notary's actions violate the Debtor's rights which are protected by law. Debtors can sue for compensation on the basis of violating Article 1365 of the Civil Code in conjunction with Article 16 paragraph (12) UUJN, violating Article 3 point 4 of the Notary Code of Ethics
Combination Quercetin and Poloxamer in a Solid Dispersion Binary System and the Antioxidant Activity Using DPPH and ABTS
Free radicals are unstable and highly reactive chemicals. Free radicals are extremely harmful since they may change the DNA sequence and promote the production of cancer cells, heart disease, Alzheimer's, and inflammatory disorders. Substances such as antioxidants are required to neutralize unstable free radicals such as vitamin C, vitamin E, Q10, and flavonoids like quercetin. The characteristic of quercetin is that it is less soluble in water, which limits the effect of antioxidants. This research aims to investigate the incorporation of poloxamer 188 as a catalyst in solid dispersion and to assess its antioxidant properties through the application of 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) methodologies. There were 3 types of solid dispersion formulae (F1, F2, and F3) in this study that were observed in their organoleptic and characterized using particle size analyzers (PSA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). The results showed that F1 had the highest antioxidant content due to its high presence of poloxamer 188. The IC50 of F1 using DPPH and ABTS was 15.92 ppm and 48.57 ppm, respectively
Anti-Fungal Activity Prediction of Curcuma Longa and Piper belte through Molecular Docking
Traditional medicine is deeply rooted in Indonesian culture, yet concerns persist regarding the safety and efficacy of medicinal plants. This study focuses on Curcuma longa and Piper betle, two prevalent medicinal plants in Southeast Asia, known for their potential antifungal properties, though the specific bioactive compounds remain unidentified. A machine learning model was developed using a dataset from DUD-E (Directory of Useful Decoys) docking to predict antifungal compounds, successfully identifying substances capable of inhibiting Cytochrome P450 EryK protein. Notably, compounds such as curcumin, beta-caryophyllene, and eugenol were highlighted for their significant antifungal activity. From the analysis, 21 compounds from Curcuma longa and 15 from Piper betle were selected and screened for their inhibitory potential. These compounds were further filtered based on Lipinski's rule of five, resulting in 7 compounds from Curcuma longa and 5 from Piper betle exhibiting binding affinities comparable to the reference ligand. Tanimoto similarity analysis revealed that the identified compounds shared less than 10% similarity in chemical structure to the reference ligand. However, the binding amino acids in several compounds demonstrated over 50% similarity to those of the reference ligand. The findings underscore the therapeutic potential of these compounds, contributing to the development of natural antifungal agents
Friendships Between LGBT Individuals and Heterosexuals: Voices from Indonesian Youth
LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) individuals face various social challenges, including discrimination and pressure that affect their ability to build interpersonal relationships, especially with heterosexual individuals. This study aims to explore the friendship dynamics between gay and lesbian individuals and heterosexuals, focusing on social experiences and interactions among young Indonesians. This qualitative research used a phenomenological approach with semi-structured interviews, and the data were thematically analyzed. Three participants, namely gay, lesbian, and heterosexual individuals, were selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that Indonesian society still has difficulty accepting sexual orientations that differ from heterosexuals, with the self-internalized stigma on LGBT individuals further limiting their freedom to express their sexual identity. However, solidarity across sexual orientations is visible, especially among young people, who are more open to sexual diversity, although their attitudes vary. This research emphasizes the importance of social acceptance in reducing discrimination and creating inclusive spaces for LGBT individuals
