The Significance of Collaboration between Schools and Communities ―Based on a Case Study of a Public Junior High School in Japan―
Get PDF「チームとしての学校」というスローガンが掲げられ、「開かれた学校」への転換が求められている。このことについて、本稿では、第1に、この背景には、教育問題の多様化と学校教員の多忙化、さらには、教育課程行政の地方分権化を認めることができることを明らかにした。第2に、「チームとしての学校」がうまく機能することで、子どもたちがエンパワーされることが期待できると考えられた。第3に、専門性資本論の観点から、「チームとしての学校」が機能することは教員の社会関係資本の増大し、その結果、教員は成長すると考えられた。第4に、学校と地域社会との関係を、事例を基に考察し、「チームとしての学校」の実現が教員と生徒に時間的な余裕を生むと同時に、地域住民と生徒との間に生まれた良い関係性が、生徒の教育に良い影響を与えることが考えられた。これらの社会関係資本の構築、すなわち「チームとしての学校」の実現は多忙化の要因になるかもしれず、また、働き方改革という観点から敬遠されるかもしれない。しかし、長い目で見たときにそれは実現されるべきことがらであると考えられた。The slogan “School as a Team” has been raised, and there is a call for a shift to an “open school”. In this paper, it is firstly clarified that the background to this is the diversification of educational problems and the busyness of school teachers, as well as the decentralization of curriculum administration. Second, it was thought that the successful functioning of “School as a Team” could be expected to empower children. Third, from the viewpoint of the professional capital theory, it was thought that the functioning of the “School as a Team” would increase the social capital of teachers, and as a result, the teachers would grow. Fourth, the relationship between schools and local communities was examined based on case studies, and it was considered that the realization of “School as a Team” would give teachers and students more time, and at the same time, the positive relationships created between local residents and students would have a positive impact on education for students. Increasing social capital, that is, realizing “Schools as a Team,” may be a factor in busyness of teachers, and may be avoided from the perspective of “the work style reform”. Get PDF第二言語として日本語を学ぶアリゾナ大学の学生と英語を学ぶ甲南大学の学生が、SDGsをテーマに話し合う有意義な交流を通じて、英語と日本語による文化・言語交流を促進し、米国と日本の人々が地域レベルで直面する問題に意識を向けさせ、異文化間調整能力を開発する機会を提供した。オンラインでの交流やディスカッションを通して、学生は目標とする言語を学びながら、日米の文化や社会に埋め込まれた概念や視点を学び、ノンネイティブスピーカーの視点から自分たちの社会や文化のユニークな側面を再発見することとなった。本論ではCOILプロジェクトによる教育実践とその成果について報告する。departmental bulletin pape
