The Challenges Faced by Instructors at a Japanese University During the Pandemic
Get PDFコロナ禍は、我が国の教育機関に多大な影響を及ぼし、大学では対面活動が制限され、多くの遠隔授業が実施された。本論では、コロナ禍の３年間において、コロナ禍と遠隔授業が、教員そして授業に及ぼした影響を教員である筆者の体験から振り返り考察した。コロナ禍の遠隔授業を実施するにあたり心身に相応の負担が掛かったが、その一方でコロナ禍での遠隔授業が契機となり、従来の対面形式の授業では得られなかった教育における新たな気づきや、授業で学生と接する上での態度や価値観の変化が見られた。また、その後の対面授業への移行においては、教える側が授業中に「息苦しさ」を感じるなど心身に異変が生じたが、これらは授業や社会活動の復帰に伴う急激な変化への必要な反応として理解された。最後に、コロナ禍におけるデジタルデバイスやIT を用いた遠隔授業下においては、身体性が欠如しがちであり、コロナ禍後も身体性や体験を含めた知の創出が重要であることを述べた。The COVID-19 pandemic, which began in December 2019,has had a profound impact on Japanese educational institutions, leading to restrictions on in-person activities and the widespread adoption of distance learning at Japanese universities.This paper reflects on the effects of the pandemic and remote learning on both instructors and lectures over the past three years, drawing on the author's personal experiences as an instructor. While distance learning placed significant physical and psychological burdens on instructors, it also brought about positive outcomes, such as improved classroom conduct and more engaging attitudes toward students. The transition from remote to in-person learning caused further physical and psychological stress, yet this can be seen as part of the process of readjustment to society.In a society increasingly dominated by information technology and artificial intelligence, the lack of physical engagement has become evident. The Future of Online Foreign Language Education: A Perspective on Student Motivation
Get PDFThis study presents findings from a nationwide survey conducted in FY2021 as part of a scientific research project on the learning environment and motivation of French language learners and their instructors. The author, as a co-searcher, analyzed questionnaire responses to examine students’ preferred class formats, motivational differences across formats, and the impact of class content and size on learner engagement. The results indicate that while a significant roportion of students favor face-to-face instruction, resistance to online learning is diminishing. Furthermore, although online learners generally exhibit lower motivation compared to their face-to-face counterparts, motivation levels can approach parity depending on the quality of class content and the scale of the class.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFインドに難民として暮らす亡命チベット社会における女性の立場を検証することが本稿の目的である。難民として祖国を後にしたチベット女性は、亡命という未曽有の危機的状況を経て、従来の生活圏で形成されていた集団の文化的ポリティクスと結びつく伝統的な女性の地位・役割を継承しつつ、越境した先の亡命社会において、従前とは全く異なる気候風土・文化・社会の中で、新しい地位と役割を築くことになった。亡命チベット社会の近代化とともに教育を受けて社会進出し、自由で力強い女性としてチベット・ナショナリズムの担い手としても活躍するが、同時に、家を守るという伝統的な役割や強い母性も求められるという重層的な規範の中で生きている。departmental bulletin pape
人類の加速と中毒 ―安部公房・勅使河原宏『１日２４０時間』再論―
Get PDF安部公房脚本・勅使河原宏監督の映画『１日２４０時間』は、一九七〇年に開催された日本万国博覧会（EXPO’70／大阪万博）の「自動車館」（日本自動車工業会）で展示された四面マルチ・スクリーン作品である。ほかでもない万博会場で上映されることを前提に作られた映画であることを踏まえ、万博の歴史的文脈に照らし合わせることで本作の諸表現を分析し、その意味を明らかにした。また、自動車や車輪を架空の加速剤に置き換えて表現し、人々がそれに強い欲望を示して殺到するという展開から、アディクション（中毒）の問題を抽出した。本来は自由を獲得するための手段であった加速が自己目的化した現代を、諷刺的に描いた作品であると結論づけた。departmental bulletin pape
