CATEGORIZATION OF THE FACTORS THAT MOTIVATE PEOPLE TO VOLUNTEER. A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF THE SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE: 2018 – 2023
Get PDFThe objective of the research was to categorize the main factors that motivate people to volunteer, with
a systematic review methodology of scientific literature in the period 2018 to 2023 for the EBSCOhost,
ProQuest and Scielo databases. The search string was the keywords “voluntariado OR volunteering”
AND “motivación OR motivation”, the inclusion criteria of only considering scientific articles in
English, Spanish and Portuguese, in full text, in refereed publications with DOI and as criteria of
exclusion of documents that were not scientific articles, outside the established range of years, articles
repeated in different databases, in different languages and without DOI, obtaining a total of 35 scientific
articles. The results allowed the factors to be gr ouped into categories such as intrinsic motivations,
experiences, attitudes, family, educational activities, communication, work environment, emotional
intelligence, resilience, trust, macro and micro organizational structures, profile, age, laws, image,
s elfishness, service learning (APS), skills, among others. The research concluded that the factors that
motivate people to volunteer are very diverse; However, they are closely related to factors specific to
the person and external factors closely related t o the environment where the project takes place
Rehabilitación cardíaca en Latinoamérica: una revisión temática y análisis bibliométrico
Get PDFIntroduction: Cardiac rehabilitation has been considered a treatment with a high level of evidence and degree of recommendation to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. In Latin America, the corpus of scientific knowledge about this treatment is not clear, so the objective of this work is to carry out bibliometric analysis on scientific publications related to cardiac rehabilitation in the Latin American context. Materials and Methods: A delimited search strategy was applied in Scopus for documents indexed until September 2023. The records found were analyzed through the VantagePoint software (Search Technology, 15.2) to obtain indicators of activity (frequency of publication, countries, institutions and authors), relationship (co-authorship between countries and authors), and research trends using keywords included by the authors in each article. Results: 124 records were selected. The highest frequency of publication was between 2019 and 2023. The countries with the highest number of publications were Brazil, Canada and Colombia. In terms of co-authorship relationship, these same countries and the United States published the largest number of studies with international collaboration. Finally, most of the registries related cardiovascular rehabilitation with cardiovascular disease (coronary heart disease), exercise, and questionnaires. Discussion and Conclusions: This paper presents results that help guide future studies taking into account publication trends and potential collaborators in the region

Get PDFObjective: This article aims to introduce and highlight key aspects of a seven-volume bibliographic collection of Persian works published in the Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh), compiled by Dr. Aref Noshahi. Drawing on his extensive experience in cataloging across various archives and libraries.
Method: This study is applied in nature and, in terms of data collection and analysis, follows a longitudinal, scientific, descriptive, and comparative approach. It considers temporal criteria and historical periods from the inception of the printing industry up to the year 2023, with a focus on the factors that have influenced changes in the publishing industry over time.
Results: The documentation and introduction of Persian works printed in the subcontinent aim to inform scholars and literati and respond to the needs of those seeking familiarity with various subjects addressed in the region. These efforts support the use of such works in academic research and enhance the role of researchers in producing and presenting scientific knowledge. This, in turn, lays a solid foundation for future studies, improves researchers' skills in theoretical, academic, and educational literature, fosters communication and collaboration, and strengthens shared cultural foundations.
Conclusion: The exploration and presentation of the seven-volume bibliographic collection compiled by Dr. Aref Noshahi represent a significant scholarly achievement in preserving and promoting the Persian literary heritage of the Indian subcontinent. By offering a detailed account of the historical development of cataloging practices and the publication of Persian works from the advent of print to the present day, this article underscores the enduring influence of Persian language and literature in South Asia. The study not only provides a valuable resource for researchers, historians, and librarians but also encourages further academic inquiry into cross-cultural literary exchanges and the shared intellectual traditions of Iran, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Ultimately, this work contributes meaningfully to the field of bibliographic studies, reinforces the importance of historical documentation, and supports the continued growth of scholarly communication across borders
The Mediating Role of Research Motivation in the Relationship between Information Literacy and Research Competence in Graduate Students
Get PDFObjective:Research competence is one of the most significant and influential factors among postgraduate students. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the mediating role of research motivation in the relationship between information literacy and research competence among graduate students at Payam Noor University in Kermanshah and Kurdistan.
Method: This is a descriptive-analytical, correlational study that examines the relationship between dependent, independent, and mediating variables using variance-based structural equations. The research population consisted of 1,200 graduate students from Payame Noor Universities in Kermanshah and Kurdistan provinces in Iran, of which 270 were selected as the sample. Data collection tools included questionnaires: the research competence questionnaire by Yonsi et al. (2016), the research motivation questionnaire by Salehi et al. (2015), and the information literacy questionnaire by Yazdani (2015). SPSS software (version 22) was used for data analysis, and SmartPLS software was employed to assess the fit of the research model.
Results: The research findings revealed that information literacy has a positive and direct effect on research motivation, and research motivation, in turn, has a positive and direct effect on research competence. Additionally, information literacy directly and positively influences research competence. Furthermore, research motivation plays a mediating role in the relationship between information literacy and research competence.
Conclusions: Today, research skills are essential for graduate students. According to the results of this study, strengthening the information literacy and research motivation of graduate students can positively contribute to the development of their research skills
