Educar lo común. Sentidos sobre el cuerpo en movimiento en la Ley n° 1420 de “Educación Común” (Argentina, 1884)
The “Common Education” Law of 1884, recognized by its number as 1420, not only laid the foundations for the Argentine educational system, but also shaped profound meanings about institutionalized body education, even up to the present day. A re-reading of almost a century and a half is proposed, which allows us to understand the political-pedagogical climate of the 1880s by observing what discourses on physical exercises circulated between the Pedagogical Congress of 1882 and the Law, but also between the ideology of Herbert Spencer and the interpretations of Domingo Sarmiento. In this sense, debates emerge about how to build the curriculum of the nascent physical education, theoretical positions on the place of games and gymnastics, the connection with recreation and military physical exercises and its argumentation as an axis of discipline for the transmission of scientific knowledge proper to hygiene. We observe the sedimentation of a legacy that marks the education of the body in movement as a complement to moral and intellectual instruction, and that places physical education as a curricular space dedicated to the transmission of pragmatic knowledge
Let Data Guide Us Into The Next Discovery Experience: A Collaborative Approach to Optimizing Primo VE Search Configurations
Our presentation explores a collaborative effort among CSU campuses, led by members of the Data Issues Task Force, to optimize Primo VE search configurations with the goal of enhancing search results and user satisfaction across the system. Each campus employs unique settings for search and relevancy ranking, resulting in varied user experiences. Through a comprehensive analysis of these configurations using a shared spreadsheet, we identified patterns and inconsistencies that impact search outcomes. Our aim is to determine the optimal configurations and establish baseline analytics, ensuring that end users can efficiently complete their top tasks, especially with the new discovery UI set to launch in 2025.
A key component of our analysis is the use of the Primo Search API, which enabled us to automate the collection and comparison of data on search queries, results, and relevancy rankings across campuses. The API provided valuable insights into common search challenges and effective configurations, supporting our data-driven approach to optimizing search functionality.
As we refine these settings in preparation for the upcoming Next Discovery Experience, we invite further collaboration from other CSU campuses. By broadening our efforts under the guidance of the Data Issues Task Force, we can develop a unified approach that ensures consistent, high-quality user experiences across the CSU system
De la imagen a la historia. Documentación audiovisual del sector El Morro de Moravia, un barrio popular de Medellín, Colombia, 1976-2021
The article describes how a collection of records of a specific territory in Medellín (Colombia) was created. To this end, a brief history of the Moravia neighborhood and the El Morro sector is given; The methodological and conceptual interweaving is introduced after that; then, it is shown how the inventory of sources was built from the videos of the territory, by describing the fields and criteria with which the audiovisual pieces were classified and referred to; and subsequently, the results of the selection processes applied are presented, making explicit the forty-two films and videos gathered by means of a summary table, as evidence of the documentation work to elaborate an audiovisual state of the art. Finally, there is a reflection on the importance of a specialized bibliography of videos that, as media memories, express the culture of local remembrance, thus allowing the assessment of practices, and diffferent forms of knowledge and resistance of residents of the neighborhood, inhabitants of the city and foreigners, through cinema and video, as part of the information media for history, which is susceptible to becoming filmic heritage
Analysis of the Notoriety of General Press and Radio Media in Spain // Análisis de Notoriedad de los Medios de Prensa y Radio Generalista en España
Digitalisation has transformed the dynamics of interaction between the media and its audience, requiring rapid transmission of information and adaptation to the diversity of approaches in the current media space (Casero-Ripollés, 2010; Peña Fernández et al., 2019). This research seeks to determine the notoriety of the main Spanish national generalist press and radio media. It also aims to evaluate the differences in recognition according to the socio-demographic characteristics of the subjects. The study is of an inferential-correlational type and employs a quantitative approach methodology, with a questionnaire as a data collection tool and a sample of 385 participants randomly distributed throughout Spain. Statistical procedures such as correlation matrices and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were applied to study the relationships between variables. The results reveal that El País leads in notoriety among newspapers, while SER stands out among general radio stations. The select groups are completed by El Mundo and ABC; and the COPE, respectively. Level of education, nationality, age and socio-economic status are the variables that show statistically significant inter-group differences in terms of cumulative recognition indexes. However, in the case of radio, relevant variations are also observed in terms of ideological issues, potentially marked by a circumstantial component. It is worth noting that in none of the scenarios measured does gender act as a differentiating variable. The conclusions reveal a notoriety of the media relatively in line with their audience ratings, although there are other conditioning elements, such as the trajectory of the medium
"Cartas para profesar novicias y para dar hábito a monjas", dos impresos menores desconocidos
The notarial protocols preserved in our provincial historical archives hide very varied and often unknown forms of typologies. This is the case of the "cartas de profesar novicias" and "para dar hábito a monjas", two types of prints that had not been studied. To carry out this work we have consulted a sample of more than 700 notarial protocols, as well as reviewed the Clergy collection of the Archivo Histórico Provincial de Córdoba, which allowed us to identify 37 editions and 85 copies, between 1592 and 1829. Next, we analyze the documents located from different points of view, bibliographic, archival and historical, and prepare a catalogue

This study has not only made it possible to catalog the tools and techniques used in the trade, but also to better understand the social and economic dynamics of the time. In addition, the social context and the various conflicts that surrounded farriers have been analyzed, exploring labor relations, union regulations and conflicts that arose within this profession. This work offers a comprehensive vision of the role of farriers in 18th century Córdoba society, highlighting the importance of this trade in the economic and social development of the region
Marco normativo regulador del bibliotecario escolar en España
This article examines the various regulatory frameworks and recommendations concerning the role of the school librarian, addressing several key areas. Firstly, to contextualize the topic, the international landscape is briefly analyzed, highlighting the contributions of prominent educational and library organizations that issue recommendations that, although not mandatory, establish fundamental principles and general guidelines to inform the formulation of regulatory and legal frameworks. Next, the focus shifts to the Spanish national context, encompassing educational legislation with implications for the library sector, as well as regional legislation that includes regulations pertaining to both libraries and education. To prepare this study, a search for, identification of, and review of relevant legislation were conducted to ascertain the existing regulations. The analysis reveals, it is evident that school libraries and the professional profile of the school librarian hold limited prominence in state and regional legislation in Spain. Furthermore, regulations pertaining to school libraries are primarily derived from the educational rather than the library sphere. There are international recommendations on the professional profile of the school librarian, but they remain non-binding, serving only as guidelines to provide support and direction to the library community

A study of the Revista General de Información y Documentación (RGID)General Magazine of
Information and Documentation (RGID), from 2005 to 2022. The objective is aimed at qualifying the structure of the research field and assessing the trajectory of the thematic areas covered. Applying as methodology the analysis of co-words, the construction of bibliometric networks and the creation of scientific maps. 514 documents are extracted from the Web of Science (WoS) database. The keywords assigned by the authors of the documents are selected and divided into three subperiods: 2005-2010, 2011-2016 and 2017-2022. In the results, 1701 author’s keywords
and 37 bibliometric networks are obtained. In the period 2005-2010, the structure of the research field is represented on the scientific map with very few central and specialized topics, considering an initial and underdeveloped organization. In the period 2011-2016, the structure of the research field is distributed on the scientific map with a more varied number of central and specialized topics, but still insufficient, considering an organization in the process of development. In the period 2017-2022, the structure of the research field is shown on the map with all kinds of family of topics (central, specialized, transversal, emerging or disappearing), being valued as a dynamic, complex and heterogeneous organization. Regarding the evolution of the thematic areas, the map shows solid progress between the last two periods. The morphology of the thematic field treated in RGID is outlined in three phases: foundation (2005-2010), process of development (2011-2016) and consolidation (2017-2022)
Transduções informacionais na biodisponibilidade de representações imagéticas
Digital images are inherently more fragile and malleable; thus, they are more susceptible to transformations during their info-communication processes. In digital-virtual environments, such processes traverse a range of layers that directly result in the encapsulation of information in viewing interfaces. In this context, the central issue of this article is to understand how the information transductions of digital images occur for their bioavailability in the viewing layer. The main objective is to verify the possible information transformations that occur in the form, content, and metadata of digital images displayed on the Open Art Images interface compared to those on Wikimedia Commons, through the observation of transduction processes in data feedback. Methodologically, the study is qualitative, employing a descriptive-exploratory research approach. Based on collections and image file verification, a comparative analysis was conducted to identify transductions during the transfer from one environment to another. The analyses showed information transformations during their flow, corroborating a likely unawareness of netizens concerning the information in images. The study concluded that informational encapsulation helps mask the transduction processes present in their layers, thereby favoring the netizens’ informational asymmetry
