The Impact of the University Reputation on Tuition Fees for International Students and on International Student Investment in the Country's Economy
Establishing the impact of the university's reputation on tuition fees for international students and international student investment in the country’s economy. Correlation and regression analyses at the university and country level between leading world rankings (QS, THE, ARWU, Webometrics) and the cost of international students studying in them, as well as quantifying the contribution of international student investment to the economies of 16 countries. For 11 countries around the world, each with more than 15 universities, the correlation between the integral indicators of the university rankings in QS, THE, ARWU, and Webometrics rankings and the tuition fees at these universities for bachelor's and master's programs was calculated. The results show that the best correlation was found for the anglophone countries that have a liberal pricing policy for students. Based on statistics from national and international organizations over an eight-year-time interval (2011 – 2018), the share of income that a country receives from foreign students staying in it in relation to foreign direct investment was calculated for 16 countries of the world. This share of income varied, in general, from tenths of a percent to 50%. For identified universities from QS and THE rankings of the countries under consideration their Average Overall (Total) Score was calculated and their correlations with average tuition fees were made. It is concluded that international student recruiting in many countries is a matter of survival of their universities as well as the territories where these universities are located. That is why it is a matter of material welfare of the territories where universities are located
Digital transformations in arts and entertainment
This paper examines a series of digital transformations in arts and entertainment focused creative industries ( television, recorded music, live concerts, museums, computer games) impacted by digital innovations arising within these industries. Our paper demonstrates how continuous improvement in semiconductor technology (based on the doubling of chip density every two years as predicted by Moore’s law) has fostered advances in digital device capabilities, speed, portability, cost reduction and device integration that has made possible an array of innovative digital products, services and methods of engaging arts and entertainment audiences. Our analysis focuses on six innovative transformations: the digitization of the television set and transformation of television viewing and services, MP3 sound compression transformation of the recorded music industry, video streaming transformation of television programming, 3 D holography and hologram transformation of live concerts, multimedia, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) transformation of museum audience engagement, and eSports transformation of video game industry participation and audience engagement. We also note the creative destructive impacts on non-digitized (analog) elements of some of these industries and identify transformational trends shaping the futures of these industries

Inteligencia artificial para la generación de contenidos en Iberoamérica: experiencias editoriales en medios de comunicación
This work is set in a context where artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being integrated into journalism and content generation in Ibero-America. Its theoretical justification lies in the need to understand and assess the impact of these emerging technologies in the field of communication, a critically relevant topic as documented in recent disciplinary studies.
The format of this work corresponds to an academic and research study, structured into several chapters addressing various aspects of AI use in the media. These chapters include theoretical analyses, case studies, survey results, and interviews with industry experts. The objective of this study is to explore and document the experiences of implementing AI in content generation within Ibero-American media, providing a comprehensive view of how these technologies are transforming journalism in the region. It aims not only to identify best practices and the challenges faced but also to offer recommendations for the ethical and efficient adoption of AI in the media sector.
The activity described involves extensive data collection and analysis from diverse sources. A series of webinars was conducted, attended by more than 700 participants and involving the collaboration of four Ibero-American academic institutions. These webinars served as a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences about the use of AI in media. Additionally, a survey was conducted with over 150 webinar participants to gather data on the frequency of use, knowledge, and expectations regarding AI tools.
The book is organized into five main chapters. The first chapter provides initial conceptualizations and expert interviews on the ethical and technical challenges of using AI in media. The second chapter summarizes the webinar sessions and highlights the success stories presented. The third chapter presents the results of the survey conducted with webinar participants. The fourth chapter, the most extensive, analyzes the main cases, challenges, and projections of AI-driven content generation in various Ibero-American countries, including interviews and screenshots of notable experiences. Finally, the fifth chapter offers final reflections and future projections on the use of AI in Ibero-American journalism
